It's from a website that got posted on /pol/.
So not credible at all.
But it's actually possible without any conspiracy.
They had the event already planned, and the shooting conveniently happened. Because frankly there's like one every month or two.
I will wait for a credible place to say something about it
But yeah, this theory is plausible
still, people might say that the whole thing was a inside job to ban guns
Hello fellow gun lovers
Do you know where you put your guns?
I'd like to examine them
si
esรฉ where are the assault rifles @OliveBlanc
lol
did he mislabel assault weapons as assault rifles?
I can't watch children commit suicide.
Meanwhile, 5 years in the past.... https://imgur.com/gallery/ftFa9KX/comment/37727448
man arrested for building autonomous weapon
Friendly reminder that the ABC has been a piece of shit for a while now
@Reaps how do you feel about that use of strayan tax dollaers?
Someone posted a link on SoA about it
So I'll be chasing that up
CONVENIENT
To what?
"An AR-15."
UNBIASEDโข
"high velocity assault rifle"
what, do they travel through the *fuckin' air* all by themselves now?
It shouldn't even be that hard to classify what an assault rifle is, but because it involves people trying to ban things they don't like, they just mire it down in legal jargon
HMMMM
<:think_woke:378717098681171988>
I wonder if you designed a trigger that would essentially perform the action of a bump stock by requiring you to maintain pressure yet automatically resetting itself every time the trigger is pulled, whether that would be a legal way to increase rate of fire like a bump stock. Doesn't the law simply require one pull of the trigger to make multiple discharges of the weapon for it to count? This way it still requires trigger pulls because the reset is automatic, but not the discharge itself.
and I wonder what a trigger like that would do to your finger...
it might even be insanely impractical, you might have to make the trigger so you could use two fingers to operate it
Nobody likes to roll the dice with their life, not even if they get paid really well. Looks what happened when they cornered the Dorner, they burned him out instead of storming in
@Thomas the Sowell Train [USA] Ah, just make a foregrip/pump action bumpfire
Can't be too hard
yeah I just wonder if it'd be legal
it's obviously possible
Or just go back to WWI shit and convert bolt actions to selfloaders
You could also possibly use a feature that if the trigger has already been pressed, if it's pressed again as soon as possible (mainting pressure) then the weight of the trigger is much less, making the trigger still safe getting started but easier to fire multiple shots
So a two stage trigger?
if that's what you'd call it, sure
It's all entirely doable, but it's not been done because regular automatics are simpler and nobody wants to get the ATF on them
isn't that what caused waco
IIRC the ATF went after them because they were making some device like that which made semi automatics fire like automatics
I think they tried to claim that
just got back from the range
there was a guy with a bullpup 6.5cm deserttech
next to me shooting .5" groups using little circle note stickers
I was amazed.
I was shooting 338 lap but I have been unable to bring my groups under .7" without a bench rest
my fucking scope rings got loose when I was shooting
causing my groups to drop 3" down suddenly
lol
not good
>bullpup
**BEGONE**
I dunno why he would choose that; but from a bolt action perspective it's kinda sensible
in a use case where he actually needed a super precise shot; it's not like he's likely to do significant followups
so cycling the action is not super duper important
he was a really good shooter though
like; he was hitting the center of those fucking little stickers without any problem
I ran out of ladder tests, zoomed in on his target and watched him shoot
I want to get to his skill level
but I do not want to be as obese as he was
giant beer belly
sad thing is; with my SPR (18", SS, Heavy profile ML Gas) AR, I can shoot better followups than with my fucking super expensive 338 lap
First shot I'm generally dead on; everything after that is usually offset because I keep fucking flinching like a pussy
I take it that you have an armory?
not really
aw
I have 4 distinct rifles (AR w/ .458 socom 16", AR w/ 223 wylde 18", Savage FVSR 22lr, and my sako TRG-42 in 338 lap)
and one pistol
The .458 was just a workaround; I didn't want to need to ditch my standard cap kits so I re-labeled them all to 458
Also; I did want to buy a 45/70, and this is just as good
I don't really have anything milsurp, although I might get ahold of a M1A in 308 so I can go 2 gun
I didn't want to go and get some rifle that would get me halfway to 2000Y
so I wasn't really attracted to 6.5CM
Would a clockwork or otherwise heavily built trigger mechanism fix the bullpup trigger issue?
So that there's no metal flex involved or shenanigans from shitty trigger linkages
yeah
there are a handful of good designs
some of them rely on sear based pin drops
i.e. the trigger group is still in the handguard, but the pin assy is linked with a long L bracket that catches on the sear
The only thing that has bothered me about bullpups is a assessablity of the magazine. If there was a way to do a mag change while keeping the barrel pointed at what i was engaging it would be more appealing.
It might just be something to practice but i dont think i have every seen some able to do this
Maybe it is just because all i have every really trained with was an M4
@DanConway
I guess that's the problem.
If you find someone who only trained in bullpups, they might reach a similar conclusion
there are a few tactics
I feel the setbacks generally outweigh the advantages from a civilian perspective
in a bolt gun it's not too much of a pain
@DanConway Maybe top feeding LMGs can make a comback in bullpup form? No need for a decent trigger pull on those
doubtful
I think the AR style platform will see material changes for about the next 30-40 years until there's some breakthrough
from the GPMG perspective, it's gonna be all belts
from the SAW-style things; it'll probably just be standard rifle body + different barrel + larger mags
surefire's 60's are pretty nice
The Marines have gone back to sort of a WWII style LMG with the IAR.
Interesting that we and the russians (RPK) came to similar conclusions on firepower
I heard you talkin shit on creedmoor lol
Where?
Idk maybe I misread it haha
I dunno if I would call the IAR "ww2 style"
I think he means a mag fed support gun like the bar
I don't think they had anything that would fit into the role that was less than 10 lbs
yeah
Rather than belt
That's definitely what I'm talking about in reference to the SAW getting nuked for the most part
There just isn't enough of a need for shitloads of suppressive fire in modern combat
Plus I guess large mags are easier to carry than drums
I wish I had more time to shoot. My groupings are shit across the board
for 6.5?
For literally everything I own
I probably should have used it as a stepping stone, but I decided I didn't want to just be at 1200
I wanted to push high energy further
Pistol, creedmoor dmr
Later this week my vector comes in and I'll probably be shit with that too
My handloads got me a .4-something group
but it's still not enough
I need a shitload of US869
it did really fucking well for me
I didn't prepare a ladder for it though, just retumbo + 300gr smk
Also, I have a single 100yd range to shoot at, while the local 600 and 800 yard ranges costs a Saudi fortune to shoot at
no local BLM?
?
That's where I go when I want to shoot elr
Well, I dunno if you're amereagan, but since you're talking about a vector I'm assuming you probably are
Yes
Bureau of land management
Oh
i.e. federally controlled land
Yeah we have those, but the longest range they have near me is 75
yeah, that sucks
I'm in the land of the communists and I still get 100 20 minutes away from the city
I kinda wish I lived pout west. So much open land to shoot on
The worst part though is that I only get to shoot every other weekend so I never really get too much better
the west is best jek
Except for all the communists and Mormons
Fucking mormons
GRILL EM ALL
pogroms on mormons
mormons generally aren't bad unless you're one of them
mfw a *vet* can't answer what an AR 15 is
ffs
"anything that fires more than an eight round clip"
This guy can't be for realsies
He's either the POGgiest POG that ever POG'd or it's a case of stolen valor
He keeps going on about bravery and cowardice
pro tip
when you're a 120Ib woman, bravery isn't going to keep you from getting raped by a 230Ib man
Charlie Kirk does better in live situations than he does on twitter tbh
Because he's said some rather silly things on twitter
Dude smashes people in person though, go figure
Kyle has had to grow up quick, too
He doesn't seem anywhere near as unhinged as Hogg is, though
Itโs ironic too because Kyle was actually IN THE SCHOOL when the shooting happened. So youโd expect him to be the outrageous one. I guess giving him so much time on the media and all the attention gives him the idea that he has all this power to โchange the worldโ.
But yeah the old guy in the video just presents how the left and/or liberals always use their emotions in arguments
Was Hogg at the school when it happened? Trying to separate fact from tinfoil. I thought he was at the school but not in the building where the shooting was happening
He said in an interview that he rode his bike three miles to get there once he heard there was a shooting going on
I think he actually got there before the police
Er
Has anyone asked him why he'd ride *towards* an active shooter situation?
I think he was a journalist, heโd write for the school newspaper and things of that nature
Yeah, that don't help his case tbh
Hm? Why not?
A teenager student going to a active shooter situation? What he would do? Take pictures of the bodies?
Also, I don't believe this guy is either sane or even served in the armed forces
ah, but you see, he cares so much about his fellow students he rushed there as soon as he heard
very brave
stunning and brave
yeah, like I said, he seems like the epitome of stolen valor
Which I believe Australian soldiers are no longer allowed to accuse others of anymore
because *bullying*
That's retarded
not 100% if that's the case, but I know it's definitely been debated
I would hate to live in Australia
Calling out someone for Stolen valor is nowhere near bullying
Mfw America is on its way there <:pepe_sad:378719408345841664>
Actually, now that I try to remember it
I think it was something like active service personnel being told that they weren't allowed to post on a facebook group about it
or something like that
```Under the Federal Defence Act, persons falsely representing themselves as returned soldiers, sailors or airmen, or wearing decorations that were not earned, can face up to six months' jail and a $3,300 fine.```
```Rex Crane, 83, who is the former president of the Ex-Prisoners of War Association, was exposed as a fake who allegedly claimed more than $405,000 as a disabled World War II veteran.
But Bill claims such action by the authorities is the exception to the rule.
"If politicians, police and the courts did not consistently fail to enforce the laws intended to protect veterans' and the community's interests, ANZMI wouldn't need to do their jobs for them," he said.
"Those who turn a blind eye to crime are complicit in its execution."
Unless there is a clear cut case of financial fraud, police tend to give military fantasists a low priority.```
@Reaps
Can't disagree with that
Active duty militaries need to keep quiet, specially with all the information gathering you can do over social media
Same for their families
Plus, the laws for Stolen valor seems decent
Oof
When your RAP Senior Constable also turns out to be a Sergeant in the Royal Australian Army
*b u s t e d*
Still got a minute to go on this video, still have nfi how it's going to end
I'm off to bed
"I need your service number"
*silence*
```Police inquiries with the Australian Defence Force confirmed the 41-year-old Ashmore man had been discharged from the army in July last year and had only served as a recruit for two months.```
Fuck, is it illegal to pretend to be veteran on the internet?
I guess I'll have to stick to pretending to be a lawyer and a medical doctor then.
That's the spirit
Shieet
Shieet nigga
It's no coinsidence that we're reaching further and further to the world of 1984, and it's mainly due to these FUCKING LIBERALS AND DEMOCRATS!! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!
I like to get $200 for bullshit, alex
"a rapid-fire, magazine-fed automatic rifle designed for infantry use."
So i can have belt fed weapons that dont count<:GWragFeelsComfyMan:390321740158468096>
as long as they are semi auto
oh man that would class my nerfed AR with a fixed mag as an assault rifle
Tbh, that's probably the end goal
I guess, by changing the second amendment, they create precedent to change others
Bonus irony are the people in the twitter thread replying to this person with 'pffft noone said we're going to take all your guns, just regulate them better'
When for the past two weeks the mask has slipped and they've repeatedly been saying 'ban *all* guns'
Even better is in the same twitter thread, someone asks that person 'what weapons to you want to ban'
```In my opinion all semi automatics, rifles and handguns.```
Like.
ffs.
Weida can be wild sometimes
He's right tho
Be less cunty, Dave.
Actually no. Be more of a cunt. Then only more cunts will be attracted to you, and your entire movement will look even more like just a big bunch of cunts
@Fulcrum010 nice name ๐คฃ
yeah, I saw "church of the holy nudes is typing" and I'm like "who is th- oh, I know who that'll be"
David is a freedom fighter bless his soul
He isn't a political puppet that wants to get popular and the only way to get popular is to be a political puppet sinc he is empty any other way
Anyone able to help me with some questions about AR15 trigger group design?
@Dicks out for Sanguinius ARs trigger liberals is that what you are talking about?
People abused the words assault rifle so much Merriam Webster changed their definition of it
I think he might be talking about the trigger mechanism on an AR15?
yes the trigger mechanism
of the AR15/m4 variant
specificaly the trigger and hammer engagement surface
