So in my most recent Stellaris game, these guys were my FE
The Fekari are a species that *I* created. They're my space Jews. Literally all their Empire did was trading, it was awesome. We were the monthly Xuracorp trade deal before 2.0 came out.
At any rate, was really cool to see an empire I created used as the FE
The 4th walk breaking doesn't hurt either

On my Space Nazis playthrough, I just had a robot uprising, even though I never built a single robot. They took half of my planets, all the ones that have max upgraded starbases.

On another playthrough, there was an empire of robots, they did nothing until the end, when I just had to take their ringworlds.

They're currently working on a republic overhaul mod for 2.0
All they communicated was "we're accepting refugees on the Refugee Processing Sector", and the "Refugee Processing Sector" is just a blackhole. There were no non-robots on their ringworld.
The one thing I hate the most on 2.0 is the constant pirate attacks.

Right now, if you attack the fortress, it regenerates after a few seconds.
So you can never make progress with the events.
It's hard to even take your fleet out.
Because they keep turning back to shoot at the fortress.

On my last play session: I got tired of a neighbor empire insulting me all the time, so I decided to take some of his systems.
After the 3rd slave revolt on conquered planets, I decided to abolish slavery. Not worth the trouble.
Downside is, everyone's opinions about me is so low due to all the slave purging, I united the whole galaxy into two federations that hate me.
Well, you better be really strong or prepare yourself for double penetration

Alright, I've got like 7hrs on Far Cry 5 now.
All the Lefty's are arguing about the story.
My gripe? There's not enough white people in the game. Seriously, it's like they double downed on brown people to make up for the 'crazy' storyline.
(Montanna is like... Really white.)
Hopefully that's only a tiny gripe. The game looks like it might be good fun, so the historicity shouldn't be too important to whatever immersion you might feel in a game like that.
Personally, I'd like another Blood Dragon.
Granted, something more like this probably isn't going to be cashing in on the nostalgia factor with generation z.

I met these 3 first right after conquering another empire, and we started circle jerking each other off with trade deals and shit
I somehow shot through research so fast that I was the strongest (despite being much smaller and having no fleet for a very long time) and the commonwealth submitted to me, the other two quickly followed
when I met the other half of the galaxy they ignored us, then the theocracy joined, then the imperial stars joined
and now we're here
oh yeah and the bloke at the top joined last
oh yeah, and despite playing a Human empire with the species name as Human, I found Sol III so I'm now enlightening them into my empire
I declared war on and subsequently eliminated a FE (not even awoken yet, I was taking out the garbage before it started to stink), taking specific care to keep one of its fleets alive for those sweet sweet prize ships
Didn't get them
They just disappeared
