Border Patrol and the Military is Voluntary, but a salary is needed to keep them, and keep loyalty and prevent fraud.
As well, the 'Government protects property rights'. That incudes cops. Because you can defend your own, but what about when you are at work? Cops are there to aid with burglaries as well. And yes, Cops would want a salary as well.

I'm trying to look into the "proofs" more atm and trying to be as sceptical as i can be. most of the proofs given are highly circumstantial and/or coincidental but there's maybe 2 or 3 that do prove Q is someone who has had direct access to Trump on at least 3 occasions and has had direct knowledge of his twitter feed in advance. i don't think it's a complete troll, there's definitely "something" in it, but how much, I can't say.
I'm trying to look at the evidence in a "would it stand up in court" way and tbh, most of it doesn't, but there are some bits that do prove it's definitely someone with direct access to Trump

Here's a comment I posted on An0maly's video on Qanon which mostly sums up my attitude on it from what I've seen.
Occam's Razor would suggest that Qanon is just an elaborate high-tier troll. Accurate predictions are not proof and from what I've seen, that's all the' evidence' that's been had. Now, if there were consistently accurate predictions to the extent that it would be nearly impossible without insider information, then perhaps that would be something to consider, but I haven't seen that. What I fear is that it will encourage conspiratorial thinking under the guise of "doing your own research", bring out the worst elements of the right just before the mid-terms, and scare away potential voters from the center. Sure, it would be great if people spent a bit more time to pursue the truth on their own, but having a habit of making over-reaching claims and then seeking out information which just confirms those biases is not legitimate research because at that point it's all agenda driven. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Therefore without that evidence, every component of critical thinking says that something like Qanon should be met with serious doubt.
