one sec brb

2018-03-24 07:32:05 UTC

i think the regulars are pretty chill

2018-03-24 07:32:12 UTC

whats not to trust?

2018-03-24 07:32:31 UTC

most of the people

2018-03-24 07:32:40 UTC

Australians

2018-03-24 07:32:43 UTC

Does anyone else get a weird feeling in their butt when you drink alcohol or is that just me? <:pepe_smile:378719407977005068>

2018-03-24 07:32:48 UTC

That would include non regulars too

2018-03-24 07:33:25 UTC

no, but i have gotten it when smoking weed, like i'm gonna poo or something

2018-03-24 07:33:38 UTC

I get like a tingly feeling

2018-03-24 07:33:41 UTC

I ate right before drinking would that be my problem

2018-03-24 07:33:52 UTC

i already mentioned that radeon

2018-03-24 07:33:52 UTC

Eating before drinking does make it harder to get drunk

2018-03-24 07:34:32 UTC

also you spaced out 1 bottle of 7% alcohol over several hours

2018-03-24 07:34:36 UTC

@radeon Eating before drinking makes you less drunk

2018-03-24 07:34:37 UTC

I meant that I think you're good people, but I'll still exhibit caution

2018-03-24 07:34:39 UTC

you might as well be drinking water

2018-03-24 07:34:52 UTC

I don't think half the people in Arena are good

2018-03-24 07:34:58 UTC

Yea but I drank like a quarter at once

2018-03-24 07:35:10 UTC

thats like one beer

2018-03-24 07:35:59 UTC

also if you smoked, it might distract from actually feeling drunk

2018-03-24 07:36:13 UTC

you might be drunk and not really feel it

2018-03-24 07:36:38 UTC

When I used to smoke it used to be the opposite for me, I'd feel the drunk feeling but no matter how much I smoked I couldn't get high

2018-03-24 07:36:53 UTC

or couldn't feel it at least

2018-03-24 07:36:57 UTC

yeah i have had that too

2018-03-24 07:37:15 UTC

i have had times where i drank a lot and never felt drunk

2018-03-24 07:37:22 UTC

without weed

2018-03-24 07:37:34 UTC

it's weird, like it never hits you

2018-03-24 07:37:41 UTC

you just get tired

2018-03-24 07:37:51 UTC

I have as well but that was when I was basically going through a phase of being an alcoholic lol

2018-03-24 07:38:05 UTC

yeah i went through that

2018-03-24 07:38:07 UTC

drinking literally every day from the moment I woke up till the moment I went to sleep

2018-03-24 07:38:20 UTC

buying cheap boxed wine because it was the most alcohol for the money

2018-03-24 07:38:20 UTC

lol

2018-03-24 07:38:24 UTC

i never was a morning drinker, but day drinking for sure

2018-03-24 07:39:16 UTC

at my peak I was drinking a bottle of vodka a day

2018-03-24 07:39:31 UTC

now i drink a few times a year maybe

2018-03-24 07:39:49 UTC

I was drinking like 170oz/5L of wine a day I think

2018-03-24 07:40:05 UTC

And threw in like 10 shots of vodka here and there

2018-03-24 07:40:14 UTC

to try increase the effects

2018-03-24 07:40:15 UTC

I had a period of time where I got high way too often, and I just kind of stopped altogether one day outside of social settings

2018-03-24 07:40:26 UTC

you must have been pissing constantly lol

2018-03-24 07:40:34 UTC

Yep hahaha

2018-03-24 07:40:44 UTC

But like you

2018-03-24 07:40:48 UTC

I don't at all drink often anymore

2018-03-24 07:40:59 UTC

I'm able to control it like it's nothing now

2018-03-24 07:41:01 UTC

Same with smoking

2018-03-24 07:41:07 UTC

5L a day, Jesus holy.

2018-03-24 07:41:54 UTC

yeah i had a few bad/embarrassing experiences and i finally got tired of the hangovers, so one day i just stopped

2018-03-24 07:42:27 UTC

@Chloรฉ Adsolution My drinking is what i used to get off smoking lol, I transitioned from smoking all the time and drinking sometimes, to only drinking every day, to eventually only drinking every month or every few months and only smoking a couple of times a year (like new years).

2018-03-24 07:43:00 UTC

and even when I drink now, the few times I do, I don't really drink to get drunk

2018-03-24 07:43:07 UTC

I just get tipsy and it's good enough for me

2018-03-24 07:43:12 UTC

most of the time

2018-03-24 07:43:23 UTC

I pretty much only drink to get drunk

2018-03-24 07:43:40 UTC

i started just drinking every now and then with friends, and then it slowly built over several years to the point where i was just drinking alone, and watching youtube, dark times man, dark times

2018-03-24 07:43:51 UTC

Yeah, that's really shitty.

2018-03-24 07:44:09 UTC

Once you get to the point where you're doing it yourself everyday doing, well, exactly that, it's terrible.

2018-03-24 07:44:22 UTC

it's so gradual that you dont really notice you have a problem until you really have a problem

2018-03-24 07:44:23 UTC

That was my weed experience

2018-03-24 07:44:27 UTC

Usually related to depression or anxiety

2018-03-24 07:44:36 UTC

self treatment

2018-03-24 07:44:47 UTC

Mine was weirdly quick though, I started to fall into that pit, wallowed in it, and came out of it within the span of 2-3 months.

2018-03-24 07:45:03 UTC

thats good

2018-03-24 07:45:51 UTC

I had this ritual where every night after I got home from work I'd smoke a cigarette then get high, then a few hours later smoke another then get higher, then smoke another then get higher, then sleep and repeat

2018-03-24 07:46:03 UTC

When I was drinking every single day or smoking every single day at points, it wasn't to get drunk really it was to get back to the base level of what had become the new "normal" for me.

2018-03-24 07:46:08 UTC

I haven't had a single cigarette since I pulled out of that

2018-03-24 07:46:12 UTC

It felt like me being drunk or high was my natural state

2018-03-24 07:46:17 UTC

and sober was unusual

2018-03-24 07:46:27 UTC

yeah i know what that is like @ฯบ14แ›Ÿ

2018-03-24 07:46:45 UTC

i still need to quite cigarettes

2018-03-24 07:47:11 UTC

I luckily never felt that

2018-03-24 07:47:22 UTC

I always found tobacco to be the easiest thing for me personally to just give up because it had no real altering affects like weed or alcohol

2018-03-24 07:47:45 UTC

For me it was just trying to recapture the magic of this one night I had with it a while ago, every single night, and continuously failing and trying again, for months straight, and I totally ruined it for myself.

2018-03-24 07:47:52 UTC

@Chloรฉ Adsolution I had a bad weed habit too, and then i stopped smoking weed and a year late got into the alcohol. I never really got back into weed, it made me too paranoid

2018-03-24 07:48:22 UTC

I feel like the negative effects are very downplayed nowadays

2018-03-24 07:48:23 UTC

of weed

2018-03-24 07:48:28 UTC

yeah

2018-03-24 07:48:32 UTC

Definitely

2018-03-24 07:48:34 UTC

everyone knows how bad alcohol and tobacco is

2018-03-24 07:48:41 UTC

It went from the bad sides overplayed or made up

2018-03-24 07:48:44 UTC

to the downsides being downplayed

2018-03-24 07:48:49 UTC

alcohol did nothing wrong

2018-03-24 07:48:56 UTC

But a lot of the downsides are very person to person

2018-03-24 07:49:01 UTC

Say you have an anxiety disorder

2018-03-24 07:49:10 UTC

Yeah, it's very personal

2018-03-24 07:49:11 UTC

Weed can either dramatically help it or utterly ruin you

2018-03-24 07:49:39 UTC

weed gives me existential dread

2018-03-24 07:49:41 UTC

I only took it once and had a panic attack and couldn't speak for like 5 hours.

2018-03-24 07:49:53 UTC

Like full on hallucinating that everyone could hear my thoughts

2018-03-24 07:50:11 UTC

That happened to my friend when I tried to introduce it to her

2018-03-24 07:50:16 UTC

Her boyfriend was not happy with me lol

2018-03-24 07:50:23 UTC

weed just makes you want to keep smoking weed. I went on a long camping trip once and picked up some weed half way through, and did nothing but lay around and smoke. and after it was gone, i just kept thinking about how much i wanted some more weed. It put a damper on that part of the trip

2018-03-24 07:50:25 UTC

Other people are perfectly fine and actually get better wth it

2018-03-24 07:50:37 UTC

Well it does feel pretty good for a lot of people

2018-03-24 07:50:48 UTC

It's not technically addicting but as with anything that feels good, you want more of it

2018-03-24 07:51:02 UTC

(technically addicting in the physical dependency sense)

2018-03-24 07:51:02 UTC

yeah

2018-03-24 07:51:19 UTC

There isn't really a strong withdrawal

2018-03-24 07:51:23 UTC

caffeine has a stronger withdrawal

2018-03-24 07:51:34 UTC

```weed just makes you want to keep smoking weed. I went on a long camping trip once and picked up some weed half way through, and did nothing but lay around and smoke. and after it was gone, i just kept thinking about how much i wanted some more weed. It put a damper on that part of the trip```That depends too. After I recovered, I don't feel that at all anymore. Whenever I get high on occasion now, I'm totally satisfied with being completely sober for the next few days.
2018-03-24 07:51:36 UTC
its mental
2018-03-24 07:51:39 UTC
It can also cause things like nerve disorders and bring on mental health issues like schizophrenia faster though. As well as lung problems, heart problems, etc. I have been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat because of the constant smoking because it raises your heartrate so dramatically and so high, then it drops, then you raise it back up again, repeat. Especially with the amount I smoked at the time.
2018-03-24 07:51:45 UTC
Also if you're under like 20 you pprobably shouldn't mess with it
2018-03-24 07:51:52 UTC
Well, a caveat there
2018-03-24 07:51:55 UTC
If you have schizophrenia
2018-03-24 07:52:02 UTC
I first smoked weed at 18
2018-03-24 07:52:03 UTC
a drug trip can trigger it
2018-03-24 07:52:19 UTC
so if you're undiagnosed you can have your first episode when you smoke weed
2018-03-24 07:52:22 UTC
I had the opportunity to do it earlier, just never did
2018-03-24 07:52:24 UTC
I started at like 17
2018-03-24 07:52:46 UTC
Didn't become a daily thing for me though until like last year
2018-03-24 07:52:49 UTC
@obrallaghan yeah, nowadays if i smoke it feels like when Frodo puts on the ring and everything gets dark and scary. fuck that shit
2018-03-24 07:52:49 UTC
I know a girl who got *fucking destroyed* when she took some drug(I want to say LSD, but it might have been heroin)
2018-03-24 07:52:58 UTC
She already had the disorder but it finally got triggered for the first time
2018-03-24 07:53:01 UTC
and hit her like a train
2018-03-24 07:53:30 UTC
I've definitely had a few totally batshit deathly weed highs
2018-03-24 07:53:33 UTC
Got schizoid personality disorder, dissociative personality disorder(changes names like every 3 months)
2018-03-24 07:53:42 UTC
Only recently(like 4 years after it started) has gotten better.
2018-03-24 07:53:56 UTC
brb
2018-03-24 07:53:56 UTC
That shit isn't exactly common but it's something to watch out for.
2018-03-24 07:54:28 UTC
I am in no way anti-weed, in fact I want it legalized and sold and amnesty for people who are in prison for it.
2018-03-24 07:54:33 UTC
oldie but goodie
2018-03-24 07:54:46 UTC
In the end, for me, exercise has become my daily drug. It gives you rushes of adrenaline and after you are exhausted it is similar to a drug-feeling effect.
Then I just smoke a couple times a year - if that, and drink every couple months or so.
2018-03-24 07:54:49 UTC
In high school i smoked so much that i genuinely believe i developed psychosis. I got over though, eventually
2018-03-24 07:54:55 UTC
But any mind altering substance has the potential to fuck up fragile people and mess with childhood development.\
2018-03-24 07:55:16 UTC
For example, ADHD is a real thing and many people need both drugs and therapy to cope with it
2018-03-24 07:55:22 UTC
Especially in modern society.
2018-03-24 07:55:24 UTC
I'm not even that mad.
2018-03-24 07:55:32 UTC
But you shouldn't throw a ton of drugs at kids all at once.
2018-03-24 07:55:34 UTC
For all that money spent into documenting they're obese.
2018-03-24 07:55:39 UTC
Dont you know, depression aint real
but we have to know WHY
2018-03-24 07:55:59 UTC
3.5 mil is a drop in the bucket as far as taxes go
2018-03-24 07:56:06 UTC
I figure that 3.5 million went into more than just specifically lesbians.
2018-03-24 07:56:16 UTC
and honestly obesity is such a problem I think it's fine to research it as much as possible.
2018-03-24 07:56:19 UTC
50 billion to find out if traps are gay
2018-03-24 07:56:22 UTC
This shit needs to go
2018-03-24 07:56:22 UTC
We spend more to train one squad of soldiers
2018-03-24 07:56:25 UTC
Only 3.5m to be able to claim dykes are fat, it's science, bitches.
2018-03-24 07:56:41 UTC
oh and like
2018-03-24 07:56:45 UTC
depression isn't *one* disease.
2018-03-24 07:56:58 UTC
It can be extreme sadness that eventually ruins your hormonal system
2018-03-24 07:57:05 UTC
or it can be an actual physical damage thing
2018-03-24 07:57:15 UTC
i almost feel like depression is a symptom, but i am not a doctor
2018-03-24 07:57:15 UTC
and of course there's two billion different treatments and some people are just fucked
2018-03-24 07:57:24 UTC
In reality, it is
2018-03-24 07:57:37 UTC
It's sort of like how a fever is a symptom of two billion diseases.
2018-03-24 07:57:45 UTC
Or how we call about 10 diseases "the flu"
2018-03-24 07:57:51 UTC
remember "H1N1"? it was just the flu
2018-03-24 07:57:57 UTC
yeah
2018-03-24 07:58:01 UTC
Maybe kids need to be educated at school, to keep track of their health.
2018-03-24 07:58:05 UTC
it's not even an especially unique form of flu, just one that not many people are vaccinated for.
2018-03-24 07:58:30 UTC
no, just tell them that they are perfect just the way they are
2018-03-24 07:59:27 UTC
It's less schools and more parents.
2018-03-24 07:59:27 UTC
Just something you do, you know, every day. Check your weight, your heartbeats, your pressure.
2018-03-24 07:59:47 UTC
bad habits start with bad parents
2018-03-24 08:00:01 UTC
Making your kid fat is basically child abuse
2018-03-24 08:00:14 UTC
It nigh permanantly fucks up their inhibitions and hormones.
2018-03-24 08:00:19 UTC
oh man i have a story about that
2018-03-24 08:01:29 UTC
i used to work at a kitchen in a grocery store. it had like chines food, fried chicken, all that shit. anyway, you can get a buffet and there was this morbidly obese couple that came in with their kids
2018-03-24 08:01:45 UTC
the kids were massive
2018-03-24 08:02:05 UTC
and their eyes were always twitching and shit
2018-03-24 08:02:15 UTC
and they would hang out there ALL day
2018-03-24 08:02:19 UTC
just eating
2018-03-24 08:02:59 UTC
buy the end of the day, a massive round table is completely filled and stacked 10 plates high, i shit you not.
2018-03-24 08:03:09 UTC
and they had a baby with them
2018-03-24 08:03:17 UTC
and just force fed it meatloaf
2018-03-24 08:03:24 UTC
it was nuts man
2018-03-24 08:04:17 UTC
lol
2018-03-24 08:04:59 UTC
it's not a good look
we need a zombie apocalypse
2018-03-24 08:05:39 UTC
i dont care if people are fat, just dont pretend that it's normal
2018-03-24 08:08:30 UTC
Even something as simple as the "non-scale victories", Boogie talked about on TOP.
2018-03-24 08:08:49 UTC
i'm not familiar with that
2018-03-24 08:08:55 UTC
Like being able to walk his dog for more than a block without losing breath.
2018-03-24 08:09:07 UTC
ok gotcha
2018-03-24 08:09:07 UTC
Or exercise for more than 15 min.
2018-03-24 08:09:47 UTC
Because there's the old "you need to exercise for at least one hour for the body to start burning fat" advice.
2018-03-24 08:09:57 UTC
I wonder if there's a way to calculate what weight for you is heavy enough to lose your breath eventually just by walking
2018-03-24 08:10:02 UTC
basically just do something productive everyday, dont waste days doing nothing
2018-03-24 08:11:10 UTC
you can be skinny and have shitty cardio, i dont know how you can really calculate that
2018-03-24 08:12:20 UTC
I can't really imagine any skinny person losing their breath from just walking though unless they have some severe condition, I feel like you'd have to be exceptionally overweight
2018-03-24 08:13:23 UTC
thats true, but i have to admit even at my skinniest i had some horrible cardio. like walking a hill would get me winded
2018-03-24 08:14:09 UTC
so i think you need to take just cardio in general into consideration, not just wieght
2018-03-24 08:14:19 UTC
A hill basically simulates gained weight, since you're pushing harder against gravity
2018-03-24 08:14:26 UTC
So that's understandable
2018-03-24 08:14:29 UTC
If someone is skinny because they don't eat much food at all, but they literally never move (like spend all their time on computer) if they walk around the block they would run out of breath
2018-03-24 08:14:51 UTC
a brisk walk for sure
2018-03-24 08:15:01 UTC
maybe not a stroll
2018-03-24 08:15:17 UTC
but a faster pace will do it
2018-03-24 08:15:40 UTC
Hm, I wonder how much more in shape someone who walks around for an hour a day is compared to someone who walks around for a minute a day. Both miniscule, but one's 60x the other.
2018-03-24 08:15:47 UTC
I'm thinking if the only walking they do at all is to their fridge and to their bathroom
2018-03-24 08:16:02 UTC
assuming the person doesn't work or do school
2018-03-24 08:16:05 UTC
anything where they have to move
2018-03-24 08:16:37 UTC
@Chloรฉ Adsolution I think their would be a big difference
2018-03-24 08:16:42 UTC
it is hard to quantify, i mean what do you use for the metrics? but i would say in decently better shape
2018-03-24 08:16:49 UTC
Their muscles will deteriorate by not using them
2018-03-24 08:17:15 UTC
and the fact they are skinny means they must not eat much food, which means they aren't sustaining the muscles they do have anyway
2018-03-24 08:17:26 UTC
it also gets your blood pumping and metabolism going
2018-03-24 08:17:47 UTC
you just feel better after getting exercise
2018-03-24 08:18:11 UTC
I'm pretty immobile during Spring/Fall since I ski regularly in the Winter and I'm outside a lot in the Summer, but whenever I go up and down my stairs or anywhere around the house, I'm pretty much always jumping and running from one place to the next as fast as I can
2018-03-24 08:18:25 UTC
I wonder how that is compared to just slowly walking to the fridge for instance
2018-03-24 08:18:26 UTC
Chloe how do you quote like you always do?
2018-03-24 08:18:39 UTC
Surround text with three of ` on each side
2018-03-24 08:18:44 UTC
Thanks
2018-03-24 08:19:23 UTC
if you dont mind me asking Chloe, are you in good shape?
@Deleted User That's why I wrote this earlier
``` In the end, for me, exercise has become my daily drug. It gives you rushes of adrenaline and after you are exhausted it is similar to a drug-feeling effect.
Then I just smoke a couple times a year - if that, and drink every couple months or so. ```

2018-03-24 08:20:40 UTC

As long as you eat enough

2018-03-24 08:20:59 UTC

diet is a big factor in how you feel

2018-03-24 08:21:09 UTC

```if you dont mind me asking Chloe, are you in good shape?```I'm pretty naturally strong and I'm not underweight (certainly not overweight), so I wouldn't say I'm in bad shape at all.
2018-03-24 08:21:34 UTC
okay yeah i figured if you are running around the house
2018-03-24 08:21:36 UTC
I'd say pretty decent shape
2018-03-24 08:22:07 UTC
people who are in bad shape dont even have the energy or motivation to do that
2018-03-24 08:22:12 UTC
I don't do any dedicated exercise, though I'm naturally energetic
You can leave `language` blank if you don't want highlighting.
I'll definitely be more active when I move to Poland, because everything's in walking distance in Przemysl, so I'll be walking everywhere pretty much, at the very least
2018-03-24 08:24:14 UTC
Are you moving to Poland because they are refusing Muslim immigrants? <:pepe_smug:378719408341909506>
2018-03-24 08:24:27 UTC
2018-03-24 08:26:14 UTC
I'll be working on music there with my friend, and the music we do fits right in with the scene there
2018-03-24 08:26:26 UTC
I know a lot of people there
2018-03-24 08:26:39 UTC
Didn't you say your name was Polish the day you first came here?
2018-03-24 08:26:42 UTC
2018-03-24 08:26:46 UTC
When I suggested changing your name
2018-03-24 08:27:02 UTC
2018-03-24 08:27:11 UTC
Yeah my last name's Polish, though I'm German/Russian - I think the name just came from the WW1 border messiness, that's my best guess
2018-03-24 08:27:27 UTC
Ah
2018-03-24 08:30:44 UTC
