I'd say that the majority of progressives don't even understand the consequences of their own ideology, certain believes in it are marxist, others are neo-liberal. All in all I don't actually think progressives really have much as a basis for their believes because it changes so much as they constantly shift the overton window and as they continually show they have no basis of principles. Overall I'd say that most are just in it for the virtue signaling points, but also don't fully realize it because let's be honest, most people are not very politically inclined and just go with what their told.

I think a lot of them dont predict the emotions theyre going to have properly, tell themselves nobody will get jealous, and they're very naive, and more often than not one member has a problem with it than they didnt have before, and theyre kindof forced to go along with it because they already said it was chill

I see a lot of tensions build this way until someone has a predictable emotional breakdown

One of them is bound to decay faster.

I also think it's completely ethical, but I wouldnt open my relationship like that personally
