Some people at Ubisoft clearly care about the quality of the games. It doesn't seem like the same is true for EA

Well I don't want to pretend I know what's going on behind the scenes, but it's probably true

the hours suck too much to keep doing it if youre not

It might come down to sheer arrogance of some of the management of EA thinking they can get away with everything

Devlopers also might have stopped carring eventually

however, it also takes more than passion and i think many of the dev are trash at actually designing a game

i think everyone has a point when theyll stop caring, but it takes so long to reach for a lot of people that their work may only suffer gradually

plus, you can only be so bad at writing code

It's funny when we think this happened in the past, with Atari; management stepped in, fired all game designers; then they got together and made Activision.

I'd imagine if the publishers are any good they gonna cate at least somewhat about creative freedom. EA actually published some really good games i the past where I doubt they forced the developers from changing much. A lot more games are also realised independently now
