A way to fix your problem
1. NEVER mine any coin, unless you have the ability to know which coins will get big
2. Invest
3. Don't do either of those things and get a real job
I'm honestly not sure if I wanna buy another motherboard and use my 350D to mine bitcoin, the other mining rig I built has a maximum of 5 GPUs
two of the main companion relationships in fallout 4 are incest
>mining as the bubble bursts
wew
<:GWfroggyMonkaChrist:398950551422894080>
mining now is still profitable for me, I have low energy costs, also, *if* the value goes up, I'll make profit.
Thats pretentious
Are you really calling me pretentious when some nobody is acting like his opinion has ***ANY*** legitimacy, he has no reputation in the bitcoin game. I'm not gonna take investment advice from some nobody on the internet.
and I'm most definitely not going to be told by some weeb that I'm pretentious, when they have the basic understanding of the word.
in fact it's better to call @Sverd pretentious, because they assumed that their opinion had any gravity to it, as if they were in a place to give advice and have it taken seriously.
and it wasn't even advice, it was him insulting my decision.
lmao okay
@Autistic Dog please dont tell me thats yours
It's mine ๐ณ @COOLBEANS
@Polygon "they assumed that their opinion had any gravity to it" and you don't see why I called you pretentious? ๐
@Autistic Dog Holy shit thats a lot of dust, I have a bad habit of not cleaning my computers I assume you took those when you were cleaning it?
lmao so word choice makes me pretentious
You're seriously saying that I'm pretentious because I didn't accept his opinion. That's all that happened. He attacked me for mining bitcoin, I responded by attacking him in the same way. I have no reason to follow his "advice"
an example of pretentiousness is acting like you deserve something specifically because of who you are.
I seriously do not understand why you think I have to accept his opinion. I totally get that he has a right to his opinion but I don't have to accept it or follow it.
lmao
unironically the most pretentious post Iโve ever seen
what the fuck is the solution that you had in mind?
Should I just stop mining forever and sell my GPUs at/below MSRP?
why is it that I have to listen to your opinion in order to **not** be pretentious
No, youโve already made a poor investment, might as well stick with it
you have no obligation to listen to me
but you do have an obligation to not rant about how peopleโs opinions have no gravity for 30 minutes
explaion how it was a poor investment to buy gpus to mine
if you donโt wanna be called pretentious
huge overhead costs
that's definitely the implication, since I was supposedly being pretentious when I wasn't listening to your opinion
well guess what is pays off for itself after a few months you brainlet
"huge"
high running costs unless special circumstances arise like external paying
>pays for itself in a few months
you mean me still making 70% profit??
lol if you get super lucky maybe
and arenโt paying for electricity
electricity is cheap
not all of us live in jew york like you
BRO I GET ELECTRICITY FOR 9 CENTS
PER KW
itโs one of the worst investments you can make when compared per-penny to most investments
it's worth it
what other investments
it's an investment that makes money while I sleep
basically anything - stocks, bonds, even real estate
stock is going down atm and even them it takes for ever to make a substantial profit with stocks
I make $10 a day, regardless of any action I take
anyway back to work
low risk, low reward
high risk high reward was me investing in bitcoin at 9 grand
Well, i mean 10$ a day isn't really worth it (I assume you calculated after tax's you pay etc) considering how much you paid
to even begin mining
(10$ a day lmao thats horrible)
I really don't see how anyone is a brainlet for not mining bitcoin
3 and a half months to break even, assuming zero cost for electricity or repairs
lol
and the coin doesn't crash <:GWragTbhfam:390321741525942272>
At 5 GPU's in a slump in the market, that's actually good. It's about 20-25 per day usually but since DOW and BTC are both down, it's down to half the reward.
You guys aren't getting all the info, and even if you *were* informed, I'm still doing what I want.
crypto will die]
you are a fuck
nice opinion, goy
"You guys aren't getting all the info, and even if you were informed, I'm still doing what I want."
I don't care what choice you make, but doesn't mean it's a good one
I mean it's extra profit so I guess thats ok (but honestly could just get a better paying job)
I see crypto minders as leeches, though china has taken over it mostly at this point
You can get a better paying job while mining. Mining requires literally 0 effort after initial setup.
>implying I didn't know this
>not putting money towards better investments
What investments literally go up 1000% in a year
And I've literally made 0 investments other than electricity.
>what investments go up 1000% in a year
the same ones that go down 2000% three days later
how's that coin doing champ
you're not very good at math @Sverd, 2000%?
43% loss in 1 month, no where near 2000%
@Deleted User why are you quoting my whole statement? That's not how you use a quote.
I have these GPUs working in the background while I go and work my IT job outside of school
I ***have*** a "better paying job", **while mining**!!!!!
it was an hour of work to make my case work with all of the GPUs, I bill out at $12.50 before cost of parts
lol like โgoing up 1000% in a yearโ
ETH
Jan 2017: $8
Jan 2018: $1428
So if my math isn't wrong
That is a 17750% increase @Sverd @Polygon @Autistic Dog
<:FeelsLELMan:356316501105442817>
picking the right unknown coin to actually go up is about as likely as winning the lottery
also ETH is 800 now lmao
Not really if you read about the coin
ETH was an obvious pick
Better than any stock <:GigaLul:363417447078035457>
yeah if you happened to invest in the right one of thousands of coin to go out and then sell before it inevitably crashes
BUY RIPPLE
Literally no matter what coin you bought in Jan 2017 you would be up MASSIVELY
Even after the "crash" a few days ago
What's with all the FUD?
Even the stinkiest of stink coins are up
LOL
B U Y R I P P L E
If you bought Bitconnect when it was first released, you would still have a profit now
Even Bitconnect
Crypto fud is great
ccing @SchloppyDoggo
I bought Like 30 different ones around august and september. I made very nice gains.
๐
you could buy the stinkiest
most pajeet coins
and still get a ok return
you mean 1000% up, lol
B)
back to my point about mining, you can have your opinion, but you're sorta implying that I should not be mining.
ACCUMULATE
@SchloppyDoggo what do you recommend for mining?
hardware wise
@.PunishedShlomo What do you want to mine
@.PunishedShlomo i mine zcash with 6 and 12 card rigs. cant seem to get the b250 asus mining expert mobo to register 19 cards. others have the same problem. in terms of gpus i buy any 1060-1080 i can buy but never the ti's cause they have lower h/s doing zec. it depends on what you want to mine but i think zec has a future as a privacy coin. its got good devs which is why i like it.
i got 2 antminer s9s and i dont really like them. i'd rather gpu mine.
you got more options with gpu rigs imo so its a better investment.
ok
reeeeee moar miners
we need more GPU miners
keep the GPUs more expensive
Keep poorfags away from gaming
<:FeelsComfyMan:362802629715296256>
<:enoughpepe:377302726033276938>
da jewz
im thinking about getting together a HDD miner just for fun
have like 30 HDD's hooked up just mining away. i might do it just to piss off my wife.
lolol
@SchloppyDoggo thoughts on this mining rig I want to build, the budget is $3,000-$4,000 with the lower end price being more likely what i will be able to pay. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Lalna_Rocks/saved/4TGYrH
I plan on getting 2 more 1070's besides the 2 on this list
@.PunishedShlomo Are you using it only for mining?
yes
Ok then
You really don't need an i5
or 16gb ram
or an ssd
or that cooler
Your CPU won't really be doing anything
And don't bother with windows just don't activate it
KB too expensive for something youll never really be using
How will i connect to pools then or do I do that remotely, im a bit of noob at this side of things
You only need to be spending big bucks on the GPUs
Everything else can be very low tier
(except for PSU)
definently the psu, a friend of mine had a not so great psu, that he thought was a psu and it caught on fire
@.PunishedShlomo well, i got to warn you about that asus b250 mobo, its a bit of a bitch so just be prepared for some troubleshooting. i recently set one up about 2 weeks ago and ive had loads of problems with it. im sticking with 6 card rigs now.
Get a platinum PSU
Celeron or Pentium for CPU
@SchloppyDoggo atm Im only going to be using at least 5 slots
someone please buy me a computer
4GB RAM is only necessary
downgraded to 4 gb
yea also that psu isnt a good idea i'd go with at least a 700w
Yes and platinum
and if you are mining zec then you should be undervolting your cards. you get better h/s that way.
also get more cards per psu that way too and lower operating cos
CPU: Celeron or Pentium
Cooler: Stock
Motherboard: Random but reliable
Memory: 4GB
Storage: 64GB SSD or 500/1000GB HDD (doesn't really matter)
Video Cards: Whatever you want to mine with
Case: Test Bench or None
OS: Windows (Don't pay, just download it off Windows site and don't activate it)
PSU: PLATINUM
There you go
ive also had terrible issues with smos so im using windows now to mine. if you set afterburner to 65% power that seems to be the sweet spot for me on most cards.
Feel free to tip me with your millions you will have in a year
@king I can make more copies of windows as I have windows media creator so I should be able to get myself install or ask around for a free copy
Just download to a USB stick
Ez
im actually buying the cheap refurb'd 250 gb hdd's to save on cost. they work just fine.
For mining @SchloppyDoggo ?
no just for builds
o
just like $18
newegg
updated
lose the ssd brainlet. your paying too much. just get a cheap 250hdd.
just remember i warned you about that mobo
Corsair - 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Lose the windows from your pcpartpicker and that kb
and you dont need a big mining mobo if you only have two cards
i just picked up a physical copy of windows at office depot. then trade around a cdrom drive to install it. less of a hassle that way plus its the oldskool 90s way to do it.
No
Just go to microsoft.com
Download it for free
Lol
too late. it was just $100
Windows is literally free
but i do have a problem giving bill gates money tho
You activate to get rid of the watermark
But if its a mining rig only
who gives a fuck about a watermark
save your $100 goy
good point.
have you actually been able to get smos to actually work?
@Deleted User buy your own pc poorfag
I don't mine myself
I've helped my friend setup numerous rigs
I'm 14
ASICs and GPU
@Deleted User open a lemonade stand
brainlet
I don't want to wait for tax return
Gimme now
Gimme gimme gimme
asics are so easy you basically pay for that ease of use tbh
@Deleted User listen
listen
why do you need a computer
So I can do school and write
And game
@Deleted User does your mom still block the internet
REEEE REMOVE WINDOWS FROM THE LIST
fug it didn't remove
New PSU: Corsair - 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Also like I said you don't need that mobo
You only have two cards
Save $100 or so with a normal mobo
@king I plan to get 4-5 1070's just cant add more
@.PunishedShlomo dont forget to buy one of these unless you plan on turning the mobo on with a screwdriver.. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA27C3GW0400
New PSU: Corsair - 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
+2-3 more 1070's
oh
if you have that many 1070s
then u might do like
two psus
hmm
have plebs fix it up
Yeah, I just paid $30 for a key to remove the watermark on my main desktop.
You can keep using it unactivated forever though.
$30??
they're on ebay for like 12
I'm done dealing with shitty ebay sellers.
Last one took me until last week to ret a refund from a december order. <:pepewat:363726771365085185>
I want some great fucking time games from steam
guys show off your audiophile setups D:
Bheringer? That mixer looks like it has a built in amp
i wish i had a setup ๐ข
What headphones are those, Iโll sperg fight you for them
