A way to fix your problem
1. NEVER mine any coin, unless you have the ability to know which coins will get big
2. Invest
3. Don't do either of those things and get a real job

I'm honestly not sure if I wanna buy another motherboard and use my 350D to mine bitcoin, the other mining rig I built has a maximum of 5 GPUs

2018-02-07 14:20:08 UTC

two of the main companion relationships in fallout 4 are incest

2018-02-07 14:20:18 UTC

@Polygon >mining at all

2018-02-07 14:20:28 UTC

>mining as the bubble bursts

2018-02-07 14:20:42 UTC

2018-02-07 21:31:27 UTC

@Sverd >acting like your opinion has any justification to me

2018-02-07 21:32:41 UTC

mining now is still profitable for me, I have low energy costs, also, *if* the value goes up, I'll make profit.

2018-02-07 21:42:45 UTC

Thats pretentious

2018-02-07 22:04:30 UTC

Are you really calling me pretentious when some nobody is acting like his opinion has ***ANY*** legitimacy, he has no reputation in the bitcoin game. I'm not gonna take investment advice from some nobody on the internet.

2018-02-07 22:06:19 UTC

and I'm most definitely not going to be told by some weeb that I'm pretentious, when they have the basic understanding of the word.

2018-02-07 22:07:55 UTC

in fact it's better to call @Sverd pretentious, because they assumed that their opinion had any gravity to it, as if they were in a place to give advice and have it taken seriously.

2018-02-07 22:08:21 UTC

and it wasn't even advice, it was him insulting my decision.

2018-02-07 22:32:28 UTC

lmao okay

2018-02-08 08:09:48 UTC

@Autistic Dog please dont tell me thats yours

2018-02-08 11:05:16 UTC

It's mine ๐Ÿ˜ณ @COOLBEANS

2018-02-08 15:38:44 UTC

@Polygon "they assumed that their opinion had any gravity to it" and you don't see why I called you pretentious? ๐Ÿ‘Œ

2018-02-08 15:41:16 UTC

@Autistic Dog Holy shit thats a lot of dust, I have a bad habit of not cleaning my computers I assume you took those when you were cleaning it?

2018-02-08 21:00:44 UTC

lmao so word choice makes me pretentious

2018-02-08 21:09:04 UTC

You're seriously saying that I'm pretentious because I didn't accept his opinion. That's all that happened. He attacked me for mining bitcoin, I responded by attacking him in the same way. I have no reason to follow his "advice"
an example of pretentiousness is acting like you deserve something specifically because of who you are.
I seriously do not understand why you think I have to accept his opinion. I totally get that he has a right to his opinion but I don't have to accept it or follow it.

2018-02-08 21:09:42 UTC

lmao

2018-02-08 21:10:07 UTC

unironically the most pretentious post Iโ€™ve ever seen

2018-02-08 21:17:14 UTC

what the fuck is the solution that you had in mind?
Should I just stop mining forever and sell my GPUs at/below MSRP?

2018-02-08 21:18:48 UTC

why is it that I have to listen to your opinion in order to **not** be pretentious

2018-02-08 21:18:58 UTC

No, youโ€™ve already made a poor investment, might as well stick with it

2018-02-08 21:19:04 UTC

you have no obligation to listen to me

2018-02-08 21:19:23 UTC

but you do have an obligation to not rant about how peopleโ€™s opinions have no gravity for 30 minutes

2018-02-08 21:19:30 UTC

explaion how it was a poor investment to buy gpus to mine

2018-02-08 21:19:32 UTC

if you donโ€™t wanna be called pretentious

2018-02-08 21:19:38 UTC

huge overhead costs

2018-02-08 21:19:48 UTC

that's definitely the implication, since I was supposedly being pretentious when I wasn't listening to your opinion

2018-02-08 21:19:54 UTC

well guess what is pays off for itself after a few months you brainlet

2018-02-08 21:19:57 UTC

"huge"

2018-02-08 21:19:58 UTC

high running costs unless special circumstances arise like external paying

2018-02-08 21:20:04 UTC

>pays for itself in a few months

2018-02-08 21:20:08 UTC

you mean me still making 70% profit??

2018-02-08 21:20:09 UTC

lol if you get super lucky maybe

2018-02-08 21:20:20 UTC

and arenโ€™t paying for electricity

2018-02-08 21:20:28 UTC

electricity is cheap

2018-02-08 21:20:38 UTC

not all of us live in jew york like you

2018-02-08 21:20:42 UTC

BRO I GET ELECTRICITY FOR 9 CENTS

2018-02-08 21:20:47 UTC

PER KW

2018-02-08 21:21:12 UTC

itโ€™s one of the worst investments you can make when compared per-penny to most investments

2018-02-08 21:21:15 UTC

it's worth it

2018-02-08 21:21:23 UTC

what other investments

2018-02-08 21:21:29 UTC

it's an investment that makes money while I sleep

2018-02-08 21:21:40 UTC

basically anything - stocks, bonds, even real estate

2018-02-08 21:21:40 UTC

stock is going down atm and even them it takes for ever to make a substantial profit with stocks

2018-02-08 21:21:47 UTC

I make $10 a day, regardless of any action I take

2018-02-08 21:21:47 UTC

anyway back to work

2018-02-08 21:21:57 UTC

low risk, low reward

2018-02-08 21:22:13 UTC

high risk high reward was me investing in bitcoin at 9 grand

2018-02-08 22:24:22 UTC

Well, i mean 10$ a day isn't really worth it (I assume you calculated after tax's you pay etc) considering how much you paid

2018-02-08 22:24:36 UTC

to even begin mining

2018-02-08 22:25:40 UTC

(10$ a day lmao thats horrible)

2018-02-08 22:26:40 UTC

I really don't see how anyone is a brainlet for not mining bitcoin

2018-02-08 22:29:02 UTC

3 and a half months to break even, assuming zero cost for electricity or repairs

2018-02-08 22:29:15 UTC

lol

2018-02-08 22:29:33 UTC

and the coin doesn't crash <:GWragTbhfam:390321741525942272>

2018-02-09 01:28:47 UTC

At 5 GPU's in a slump in the market, that's actually good. It's about 20-25 per day usually but since DOW and BTC are both down, it's down to half the reward.

2018-02-09 01:30:14 UTC

You guys aren't getting all the info, and even if you *were* informed, I'm still doing what I want.

2018-02-09 01:48:24 UTC

2018-02-09 01:48:29 UTC

2018-02-09 02:25:54 UTC

nice opinion, goy

2018-02-09 02:46:46 UTC

thank u @Weissest

2018-02-09 06:33:13 UTC

"You guys aren't getting all the info, and even if you were informed, I'm still doing what I want."
I don't care what choice you make, but doesn't mean it's a good one

2018-02-09 06:35:27 UTC

I mean it's extra profit so I guess thats ok (but honestly could just get a better paying job)

2018-02-09 06:37:28 UTC

I see crypto minders as leeches, though china has taken over it mostly at this point

2018-02-09 06:39:07 UTC

You can get a better paying job while mining. Mining requires literally 0 effort after initial setup.

2018-02-09 06:42:31 UTC

>implying I didn't know this
>not putting money towards better investments

2018-02-09 06:43:10 UTC

What investments literally go up 1000% in a year

2018-02-09 06:43:55 UTC

And I've literally made 0 investments other than electricity.

2018-02-09 13:06:25 UTC

>what investments go up 1000% in a year

2018-02-09 13:06:33 UTC

the same ones that go down 2000% three days later

2018-02-09 13:07:08 UTC

how's that coin doing champ

2018-02-09 14:26:26 UTC

you're not very good at math @Sverd, 2000%?
43% loss in 1 month, no where near 2000%

2018-02-09 14:27:06 UTC

@Deleted User why are you quoting my whole statement? That's not how you use a quote.

2018-02-09 14:27:49 UTC

I have these GPUs working in the background while I go and work my IT job outside of school

2018-02-09 14:29:58 UTC

I ***have*** a "better paying job", **while mining**!!!!!
it was an hour of work to make my case work with all of the GPUs, I bill out at $12.50 before cost of parts

2018-02-09 15:12:40 UTC

lol like โ€˜going up 1000% in a yearโ€™

2018-02-09 19:08:52 UTC

ETH
Jan 2017: $8
Jan 2018: $1428

2018-02-09 19:14:01 UTC

So if my math isn't wrong

2018-02-09 19:14:15 UTC

That is a 17750% increase @Sverd @Polygon @Autistic Dog

2018-02-09 19:14:16 UTC

<:FeelsLELMan:356316501105442817>

2018-02-09 19:15:54 UTC

picking the right unknown coin to actually go up is about as likely as winning the lottery

2018-02-09 19:16:02 UTC

also ETH is 800 now lmao

2018-02-09 19:17:05 UTC

Not really if you read about the coin

2018-02-09 19:17:11 UTC

ETH was an obvious pick

2018-02-09 19:17:29 UTC

So ETH is still 10000% up @Sverd

2018-02-09 19:17:37 UTC

Better than any stock <:GigaLul:363417447078035457>

2018-02-09 19:19:17 UTC

yeah if you happened to invest in the right one of thousands of coin to go out and then sell before it inevitably crashes

2018-02-09 20:57:43 UTC

@SchloppyDoggo what do you recommend for mining?

2018-02-09 20:58:19 UTC

hardware wise

2018-02-09 21:00:17 UTC

@.PunishedShlomo What do you want to mine

2018-02-09 21:02:55 UTC

@.PunishedShlomo i mine zcash with 6 and 12 card rigs. cant seem to get the b250 asus mining expert mobo to register 19 cards. others have the same problem. in terms of gpus i buy any 1060-1080 i can buy but never the ti's cause they have lower h/s doing zec. it depends on what you want to mine but i think zec has a future as a privacy coin. its got good devs which is why i like it.

2018-02-09 21:03:46 UTC

i got 2 antminer s9s and i dont really like them. i'd rather gpu mine.

2018-02-09 21:04:12 UTC

you got more options with gpu rigs imo so its a better investment.

2018-02-09 21:23:45 UTC

ok

2018-02-09 22:34:20 UTC

reeeeee moar miners

2018-02-09 22:37:10 UTC

we need more GPU miners

2018-02-09 22:37:15 UTC

2018-02-10 00:35:43 UTC

have like 30 HDD's hooked up just mining away. i might do it just to piss off my wife.

2018-02-10 01:15:20 UTC

lolol

2018-02-10 01:57:54 UTC

@SchloppyDoggo thoughts on this mining rig I want to build, the budget is $3,000-$4,000 with the lower end price being more likely what i will be able to pay. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Lalna_Rocks/saved/4TGYrH
I plan on getting 2 more 1070's besides the 2 on this list

2018-02-10 01:59:21 UTC

@.PunishedShlomo Are you using it only for mining?

2018-02-10 01:59:25 UTC

yes

2018-02-10 01:59:32 UTC

Ok then

2018-02-10 01:59:36 UTC

You really don't need an i5

2018-02-10 01:59:51 UTC

or 16gb ram

2018-02-10 01:59:53 UTC

or an ssd

2018-02-10 01:59:58 UTC

or that cooler

2018-02-10 02:00:08 UTC

Your CPU won't really be doing anything

2018-02-10 02:00:18 UTC

And don't bother with windows just don't activate it

2018-02-10 02:00:42 UTC

KB too expensive for something youll never really be using

2018-02-10 02:01:04 UTC

How will i connect to pools then or do I do that remotely, im a bit of noob at this side of things

2018-02-10 02:01:18 UTC

You only need to be spending big bucks on the GPUs

2018-02-10 02:01:23 UTC

Everything else can be very low tier

2018-02-10 02:01:27 UTC

(except for PSU)

2018-02-10 02:01:55 UTC

definently the psu, a friend of mine had a not so great psu, that he thought was a psu and it caught on fire

2018-02-10 02:02:09 UTC

@.PunishedShlomo well, i got to warn you about that asus b250 mobo, its a bit of a bitch so just be prepared for some troubleshooting. i recently set one up about 2 weeks ago and ive had loads of problems with it. im sticking with 6 card rigs now.

2018-02-10 02:02:21 UTC

Get a platinum PSU

2018-02-10 02:02:33 UTC

Celeron or Pentium for CPU

2018-02-10 02:02:39 UTC

@SchloppyDoggo atm Im only going to be using at least 5 slots

2018-02-10 02:02:39 UTC

someone please buy me a computer

2018-02-10 02:02:41 UTC

4GB RAM is only necessary

2018-02-10 02:02:47 UTC

downgraded to 4 gb

2018-02-10 02:02:47 UTC

yea also that psu isnt a good idea i'd go with at least a 700w

2018-02-10 02:02:59 UTC

Yes and platinum

2018-02-10 02:03:18 UTC

and if you are mining zec then you should be undervolting your cards. you get better h/s that way.

2018-02-10 02:03:40 UTC

also get more cards per psu that way too and lower operating cos

2018-02-10 02:04:26 UTC

CPU: Celeron or Pentium
Cooler: Stock
Motherboard: Random but reliable
Memory: 4GB
Storage: 64GB SSD or 500/1000GB HDD (doesn't really matter)
Video Cards: Whatever you want to mine with
Case: Test Bench or None
OS: Windows (Don't pay, just download it off Windows site and don't activate it)
PSU: PLATINUM

2018-02-10 02:04:30 UTC

There you go

2018-02-10 02:04:34 UTC

ive also had terrible issues with smos so im using windows now to mine. if you set afterburner to 65% power that seems to be the sweet spot for me on most cards.

2018-02-10 02:04:38 UTC

Feel free to tip me with your millions you will have in a year

2018-02-10 02:05:23 UTC

@king I can make more copies of windows as I have windows media creator so I should be able to get myself install or ask around for a free copy

2018-02-10 02:05:33 UTC

Just download to a USB stick

2018-02-10 02:05:35 UTC

Ez

2018-02-10 02:05:35 UTC

im actually buying the cheap refurb'd 250 gb hdd's to save on cost. they work just fine.

2018-02-10 02:05:46 UTC

For mining @SchloppyDoggo ?

2018-02-10 02:05:53 UTC

no just for builds

2018-02-10 02:05:57 UTC

2018-02-10 02:06:03 UTC

2018-02-10 02:07:10 UTC

2018-02-10 02:08:11 UTC

Lose the windows from your pcpartpicker and that kb

2018-02-10 02:08:25 UTC

and you dont need a big mining mobo if you only have two cards

2018-02-10 02:09:08 UTC

i just picked up a physical copy of windows at office depot. then trade around a cdrom drive to install it. less of a hassle that way plus its the oldskool 90s way to do it.
