you can buy a used 1070ti right now for $300-$325

2019-01-07 16:40:01 UTC

and a 1080 for $350

2019-01-07 16:42:07 UTC

even if you account for inflation you're spending at least $30 for some rtx gimmick

2019-01-07 16:44:03 UTC

a used 1080 would last you at least another generation of consoles

2019-01-07 16:44:27 UTC

wrong

2019-01-07 16:44:40 UTC

pc gamers only play minecraft and Fortnite Battle Royale(tm)

2019-01-07 16:45:24 UTC

2019-01-07 16:55:45 UTC

2019-01-07 16:56:12 UTC

kys

2019-01-07 20:02:30 UTC

>who cares about false advertisement and misrepresentation

2019-01-07 20:03:27 UTC

After a few patches the PC release was phenomenal technologically. I ran it on ultra on a 970, never even maxed the card out, and the game looked fucking beautiful. That's all we're talking about rn, you're going off on a tangent

2019-01-07 20:10:04 UTC

MGS V ran great also. Or how about even the GTA V release? Tweaked the settings down and oftentimes the game ran fine while still looking great as long as your graphics card wasn't made back in the days of fucking hand-soldering.

2019-01-07 20:10:50 UTC

Yes, all of these games had other things going on that were dumb as hell, but that's not relevant.

2019-01-07 20:19:12 UTC

gta v was shit

2019-01-07 20:19:32 UTC

downgraded engine

2019-01-07 20:19:45 UTC

mgsv was pretty great tho

2019-01-07 20:26:28 UTC

I'm just listing things off the top of my head since I'm not home. You get the point though. There are plenty of games that have decent or even insanely good optimization on PC. They're just not that frequent between most games not being that graphically demanding as well as budget and time constraints. I do think there are plenty of games that suffer from criminal laziness on optimization, it's just not as pervasive as you make it out to be.

2019-01-07 21:10:56 UTC

then you are lying and a shill or just ignorant

2019-01-07 21:10:58 UTC

HTC announced a new vive pro

2019-01-07 21:11:03 UTC

with eye tracking

2019-01-07 21:11:15 UTC

2019-01-07 21:11:38 UTC

2019-01-07 21:12:35 UTC

2019-01-07 21:12:53 UTC

2019-01-07 21:13:44 UTC

2019-01-07 21:14:03 UTC

2019-01-07 21:14:12 UTC

You can literally measure how interested someone is

2019-01-07 21:14:14 UTC

2019-01-07 21:14:16 UTC

2019-01-07 21:16:04 UTC

Eye tracking is too big an advancement for vr to pass up, ads or not.

2019-01-07 21:16:05 UTC

you got laser beam penetration cameras?

2019-01-07 21:16:24 UTC

I never said eye tracking was bad you tard, I said eye tracked ads are jewish

2019-01-07 21:16:56 UTC

Neither was I debating anything you said, I was just contributing to the conversation.

2019-01-07 21:17:21 UTC

oh really, seemed more like you were just being a consumerist whore

2019-01-07 21:18:16 UTC

No, I'm saying that because VR literally needs it for foveated rendering, which is a massive resolution jump the second it's implemented.

2019-01-07 21:19:12 UTC

Idk if you've ever actually used any PCVR HMDs, but displays are the second biggest issue next to game library

2019-01-07 21:19:26 UTC

I was talking about the ad shilling not the displays

2019-01-07 21:19:32 UTC

I am well aware of the display limitations

2019-01-07 21:19:57 UTC

And I was saying the ad shilling would be fine if that's what it took for manufacturers to actually use it.

2019-01-07 21:20:45 UTC

>ad shilling is fine

2019-01-07 21:20:47 UTC

no thanks

2019-01-07 21:21:05 UTC

I'd rather projectile vomit upwards and have it rain back down on me

2019-01-07 21:21:12 UTC

they could have shilled for vr porn with eye tracking

2019-01-07 21:21:24 UTC

or for milsims

2019-01-07 21:21:33 UTC

or industrial and medical uses

2019-01-07 21:21:34 UTC

but nooo
