why bother with those then
more meme IEMs tho and they're $39usd at tomtop
dont bother
chifi iems are always a money hole
ive lost all hope
fug
i just buy for interest in finding a good cheap option for folks
got a few things coming in soon that should be interesting
also how do you remove the heat shrink shit off cheap mmcx?
got one off eBay and got told to use a fucking hairdryer to be able to change the cable shape
lol
say you dont have a hair dryer
:^)
Any high end Chinese IEMs that are little know outside of China?
All of them
how high end u talking
from what i've seen here the tins t2 are real gud
super18 <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
only $2000 friend
One of the Chinese ciems manufacturers is working on trying to get known in the west
If you got 600$ and feel like going to custom art or other Eastern European ciem company is too mainstream these days
Forgot which one it is though
Might have been thinking of https://headfonics.com/2017/04/the-nf6i-by-nf-audio/
guys
my walnut v2s has arrived but it is acting weird
even though I have nothing connected to it
I mean only my headphones
I can hear "radio"
there are some noise and a lot of that noise are songs
there isnt sd card inserted either
and I can confirm now I am hearing a local radio
idk why
any help is appreciated
also even when the volume knob is at 12 a I can hear this radio noise
something is acting as an antenna then
wrap the pcb in foil and ground it :^)
easy solution
open your wlalet
buy astell and kern
don't
antenna feature friend, radio in new chip
@ubmit especially with unshielded headphones various pieces of circuitry (particularly transformers or even the actual drivers) can "catch" errant radio waves. These are powered headphones?
I tried with a hd681 and with kz zs5
actually I think my bluetooth/wifi antenna was messing up
but I still get noise when connecting the walnut to my mobo
also thank you guys for the inputs @HEKTIK @bentech @Windatica
also @Deleted User
noise from mobo is probably just shitty USB power
I fixed my noise from mobo by getting a new mobo
Lol
interesting choice
i wonder when my cpu will come
the thing is that my mobo isnt a bad one but probably it is old enough already
I have Z68-V Pro and i7 3770k
Itching to buy something new
But expensive since I want 32 GB RAM etc:p
My setup works fine, even run some VM's to learn stuff
Maybe I'll get something new once Intel come with some CPU's where Meltdown is fixed
ive got a ryzen 1600
i might upgrade to a 8700k at end of year
if funds permit
or just get a gaming laptop
settle down boys we aint #pc-fi
i hope my earbuds come soon
KZ ATE mmcx is a no go
its ever so slightly too big
fixed connectors > deatchable
thats why i only buy computers with potted components
apple ftw xD
@bentech how much are you going to sell your ryzen cpu+mobo for fam <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
ill prob just keep it tbh
got z87 pro + i7 4770k... its pretty good
i just need faster harddicks
<#189467888657235970>
decided to take apart one of the steelseries usb soundcard v2 units
very cute little pcb
big chip is conexant cx20873 dolby turnkey IC
small chip on top side is conexant cx20745 i2s codec
reeee
Mmm lines
What exactly am I looking at here
a frequency response graph
So if I want something good the line is supposed to be as straight as possible?
not quite
that's just frequency response alone
and my rig is a flatplate so it doesnt account for any outer ear interactions, which means the upper midrange and treble will never be properly accurate
but flatter = better in a general trend
oh alright
thanks
freq response isn't as important as distortion
flatter response tends to come hand in hand with low distortion because flat responses target people who care about quality, but I'd look at distortion first then see if the FR works for you
i cant do proper distortion plots atm because my room noise is too high :(
well
tried to take apart my broken zircons
don't do it
lol
heat works but it might as well be welded together
i want my dumb cheap iems to come
right one is the one i ended up melting, left one still has driver inside
i thought it was just pressfit with some glue
NOPE
its okay i have extra blutack laying around
diy earphones
I would delete that before a mod sees it ilves
<:alismirk:230784726615588865>
i mean it technically fits the topic if you consider music "audio autistic"
tho id rather we didnt have shitposting in here
Makes sense since the Beatles is the audiofool band
Yep I would too
Serious question now
How bad are the apple airpod clones and knockoffs?
Has anyone ever experienced one?
bad
the original airpods are pretty bad, and the knockoffs are even worse
That would explain a lot
if you care in any way about sound quality avoid fully wireless with a 10km pole
Just looking for some convenient options to see if one offers acceptable quality
Maybe the Bose SoundSport Free?
I tried the bose listening tests
The car audio is great but the headphones are all mid focused
I don't like that sound signature
ye the bose anc headphones are nice
imo, at least
I am a filthy bass junkie like Julian <:benis:239668961011040257>
qc35 and wh1000x are both really nice normiephones
I've seen some dude on my bus with some QCY wireless shitboxes I'm fairly sure are like $20 but I haven't bothered to check
Not enough bass for me on both of them when I tried one
Just EQ it in smh
You don't want to see my peace eq, it's like a 30db boost on the <100 range
If only a chink would make high fidelity cans or buds with bass that far surpasses the bluedio t3/jvc livebeat
<:sadmitu:331056421342806026>
maybe takstar ??
โฌ500 is a lot of money for them
I know the pro82 has a bass switch
they're like $60 fam
Anything โฌ100 below or ish is a choice
Pro82 hmm
Oh wait I thought you meant the kannons
The ones with like a built in rumble thing?
It's so hard finding the perfect suiting cans for your preferred bass heavy sound signature.
Anything that sounds like car audio with bass cranked to 11 in the settings is near impossible to find, I miss my dad's audi q7 with bose audio.
<:sadmitu:331056421342806026>
wat
All you need to understand me
https://youtu.be/cedfX-gzHuM
redpill me on lower frequencies
Anything below 20hz is good to break windows
bass is for deaf men without taste
just buy CAL
I just need headphones that sound clean but are so heavy that they start vibrating on my head
get one of those chair vibrator systems
Nah
Just get a vibrator and sync it with the music smh
Best I ever saw getting close to that are beat mixers for bass but sound like garbage for the rest of the spectrum.
But yeah mixing headphones for live performances isn't good
At this point I would switch to actual big ass speakers if I didn't have complaining neighbors <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
As windatica pointed out 85db is the reference for ya neighbors to start knocking on the door
every time Im having a party a visit from my neighbour is guaranteed
my friend is a drummer and legit every time he uses his electronic drum kit with speakers his neighbours complain without fail
I can hear my neighbors play piano and the trumpet clearly
Sounds like beats through the wall <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
toot toot
now in DSD 1024, experience the unheard.... you can't hear it
i realize im surrounded by like superheroes
you all can hear shit i cant
lol
what
B A L A N C E
ree
I made a big misconception
The way my new eq Works is by listening level ร1.(boost percentage)
So 70dbร1.3= 84db of maximum bass
What about treble
Its not 30 decibels but 130% of the listening volume
Wow what the fuck is wrong with that B A L A N C E?
I use this, its just werks tm
https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/
i lost my headshrooms at college
should i just order new ones, or buy something else
what are headshrooms
headroom ms16
w8 until 11.11 ;)

lemme look it up
they look the same as monks, but they bump so fucking hard
yeah
i kind of like the red and cream color
though they do look just like monks, yeah
the red on them is really nice
he has it all wrong
Eiaosi X6 is where it's at
<:hahayes:330459104495665153>

<:googlethink:328536447219138561>
emx500 r appreantly good as well
don't lube your headphones with graphite kids
it just slides off the plastic ๐ก
>teacher says that 24bit is placebo
LMAO
ONE OF US
its not tho
it is
16 bit has more than enough dynamic range as long as its not implemented retardedly
b-but higher is bigeg
HTC 10 specifically
Noise floor is kinda shit
Tho as a whole, all that doesn't mean too much
I'm getting SD820, 4GB RAM, and 32GB storage with a good camera and alu build for $100aud with barely any use on it
Been in a case all it's life
Tbh just get anything with type c and get a pixel 2 dongle
it has TypeC so Pixel2 dongle is on the cards
get a chord mojo
and som ruber bands :^)
q
Would you guys recommend Bludio?? I'm looking for an inexpensive pair of wireless over-the-ear type headphones for casual use. I'm currently using Audio-technica m20x's, but the cord is annoying. I don't do much with them - just mostly Netflix and YouTube.
from what i've seen on interwebs , bluedio is lit
๐
bluedio ๐คข
t3 is nothing but bass, t4 is supposedly better
t3 is unlistenable without eq
Ooh. I don't even really care for bass.
oops
they're both pretty fucked but t4 is far less fucked
๐ฆ Aww
The actual fuck?
hear NOTHING but the bass
what
what is that graph
It's t4 and t3 combined
I think t3 is for dr beats kiddies
What other brands should I look at in that price range?
You can join the meme

```the world thrives on disposable income
don't judge, be humble
high audio quality for all
peace,```
but its only a $1700 dap
```Haha once again a bunch of butt hurt poor Massdropers. If you can't afford, move on and go buy one of the $9.99 MP3 players. Stop trying to put down successful people who have money to buy nice things you can't afford in an effort to make yourself feel better. This is about half of what this package used to sell for. And to the genuis who linked to the Amazon page; if you spent five seconds to read the ad instead of jumping to conclusions you would see that it is being sold for $1,900 and it is the player only. This is selling for $1,700 and is the complete package you see on the front page. I have the original AK240 that I bought when it first came out about three years ago and I have never regretted it. It is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I paid $2,500 and use it almost daily. It has brought me immense joy experiencing music in a way I had never before. Remember some people think a pair of beats and an iphone is the pinnacle of the music listening experience while others want a bit more. To each his own, but just because you can't afford something does not make it overpriced junk. ```
***be humble dear***
LOL
2purchased
imagine shitposting so hard to defend 2 people
1700 is a p good deal tbh
help
