@Windatica i saw Mark Ryden apparently are some featured brand now on the front page
check them out
a lot of their models have the USB charge thing too tho so idk if you'll find a good one that doesn't have it
USB Bullshit is nice, tho. I just wish it had a cover or plug
tbh like those sorts of backpacks arent fit for active/outdoors type stuff so it makes sense that they wouldnt care about people wanting to toss it in a washing machine
The cord itself is removable
although the one i bought has material that's somewhat oleophobic
So you can wash it with no issues
it is?
Mine is.
You just pull it out from the inside
on mine it's fixed to the port, there's a pocket inside where the cable runs to the outside port
RIP
i guess im sticking with my 7 year old jansport superbreak
so your port has like a female USB thing inside as well as outside?
It's a female port on the outside that leads to a male on the inside, so you can connect a battery pack to it
yeah i know
but like you can't remove the cable itself right?
Yes, I can
OHHHHHHHHHHHH
i literally have the same
i thought it was all a fixed assembly
so you CAN remove the cable
nice
The included M>F cable is very low quality, it might be worth spending a few bux to get a better one
this one doesn't QC 3.0, for whatever reason.
uh what
are you pulling the female connector out of the black plastic housing
yeh
ok
thats a lot more appealing
i was convinced it wasnt modular for some reason and i owned this bag for a while
The little pocket on mine actually extends the entire length of the pack, so I can retract a cable entirely into the bag and pull it out as necessary
Looks a little jank but w/e, QC
what bank you packin?
a grommet might have been a better idea
A Vida VA04@onoderaSecurity
It's a literally who battery I got from amazon, but it has QC 3 and wirelss charging, along with a USB C port
i got a Xiaomi 2C in mine, tight fit in the pocket you put the bank in
Mine doesn't have a dedicated pocket for the battery
also my cable which seems to be kinda low quality and unremarkable works with QC 3.0 ๐ค
the one in the backpack i mean
i use an anker usb-c
Why are non-gook Android controllers so overpriced
:c
Samsung makes cheap Android controllers?
what about chinese copies?
The 8bitdo I got wasn't great, but wasn't terrible either. Maybe go with one of those.
asus gamepad
literally top tier Xbox-PC and Android controller
Are these any good? I like how it looks
sorry about the reflink, i just copied from the app :(
sure, but didnt want to give off the idea what i was spamming reflinks~
installgentoo wiki says this is a recommended solder station:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/920335654.html
Is that still the case or are there better ones out there?
t12 clones are nice too
The aliexpress app always comes up with ref links by itself, they're not linked to you. The app links are indistinguishable from actual ref links so the bot cleans it up regardless
@Magnius KSGER T12 is much nicer
https://g-csg.github.io/electronics.html Read the fucking page desu
that being said 937D isn't bad apparently
Huh
I didnt even know Xiaomi Mijia had a multitool under its brand
In the process of getting that KSGER T12.
@the_cook if you end up deciding to buy it, buy it through here and use code BG26KKF to drop the price to $26.99
https://www.banggood.com/HUOHOU-Multi-function-15-Functions-Folding-Bottle-Opener-Screwdriver-Pliers-Tools-Kit-p-1378936.html
Arghhh, which one do I get? Just the one with the most orders? What's the difference between them all? :(
@onoderaSecurity help this man
Oooooh Ikea has some flushmountable BT speakers
@Magnius okay so, there's one that has no power supply "mini" that takes a 24v 5a barrel jack
but i assume you dont want that
there's also the 2.1 vs 2.0 revision and there's barely any difference
i'll link you the listing
there you go
you can also add whatever tips you want from their store, i added an ILS tip along with the K one
although the JL02 hook in Set 3 is good too
2.1 revision is quite a lot more expensive and i'm pretty sure the difference is negligible, the PSUs are good throughout all revisions
Cool
And the one where i need to have my own powercable, is that all?
Because Iโm sure i can snag one from work
We have those in abundance
yep, IEC C13
the one for PC power supplies, that's all you need
Nice cool, gonna go for that one then
Thanks mate!
ILS tip on its own if you want it
Any difference in tips?
Like is there a specific reason to go for one and not the other?
yeah no shit
you will use different tips in different situations, it depends what you work on
thin conical like this would be like soldering small points on a motherboard or something
Yeah thats one of my first projects i had in mind
Soldering together a motherboard? As your first project?
i mean i meant working on a motherboard because you need to solder wires onto specific vias/resistors/points to do what i'm doing
@Magnius if this is your first time then you should get those small project kits that teach you
It's a laptop motherboard. the barreljack isn't making a good connection with the motherboard itself
ohhh
So either I get a free laptop or I have a dead laptop
WHich it already is right now
So nothing to lose
like i said, i'm chipping my ecksbawks
The XBone?
Does modchips exist for it?
nah, 360
Ah, still cool
>360
>in 2019
isn't there an emulator for that
yes, Xenia
recently its been getting big improvements but its not flawless
RPCS3 recently made MGS4 playable which is great
Red Dead Redemption is also in a really nice state
older vid but if you're interested in the history: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qN62ts4aUQ

@Cole willing to sacrifice $27 to compare a xiaomi multitool to a leatherman?
why is this still NOT an emote
this
"its not multitool unless it has corkscrew"
also
I.. don't know
what multitool
in <#287939846662651906>
I don't really like the style tbh
those are key sized toys
Wave+ or bust
(and gerper mp400 ec etc etc etc)
Gerber more like Derper
^on that we agree
also id rather get leathermans crunch or skeletool if so~
i mean .. style is not bad and it has scrissors
Gerber centerdrive is ok looking but ultimately the usability fucks up always
they're just unreliable
then there is Roxon S801 .. quality is tolerable but it has it all
@Tervy I have the skeletool and it's ok, but I don't get why it gets so much praise
it's a big tool with.. not many tools
its the clip on it
that sounds like me <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
for backbag,work belt etc
the CX model makes it more tolerable
relatable
/csg/ is over

@Cole >read news article
> first thought is to bantz with the American you know
Yeah, it's pretty obsessed
value of the pound against the $ is dropping so bad recently
sucks for britbongs too
everbody getting fucked
roblox_oof_sound.ogg
tfw I get paid in euros
and then get to convert them into gbp
uhh
how much is this?
Oh nvm shipping costs extra
bin that blade
High quality post, Mod. Good job
He's government-mandated to say that
Is there a guide for TV boxes
no
mi box > all
I am now more successful than ever
it's the emoji
mi box is great but the HDMI-CEC issues are driving me mad
HDMI-CEC fucking sucks with my LG TV and Nvidia Shield, too
only thing that works is power on and power off
automatically change input? nah
volume? lmao
and even then, power on/off works about 80% of the time
Meanwhile my odroid c2 works perfectly
<:alismirk:230784726615588865>
i have a LG TV as well, everything works, but the 'change input' is a bit aggressive and keeps changing to itself, even when not in use
have to unplug it after a while
im sure the odroid is great but i kinda want to stop DIYing everything, especially with other users in the house
Get a proper Sony tv <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
Fuck Sony for having only 2 hdmi ports in 2018 tv models though
I hope they fixed that shit
iunno, i really like LG, had a ton of problems with Sony instead (mostly about gettnig the resolution right, it wouldnt communicate with my PC about that)
but maybe all these problems are fixed with my new tv
(LG OLED C8 thingy)
Interesting, Sony TVs never failed me
Those LG oled TVs are nice
I've always wanted one
But I never even use my current TV so it would be a waste to get one
I accidentally unplugged it like 3 months ago, and I still haven't gotten around to plugging it back in
will give my remarks when I actually relearn how to do this shit
You got that pretty quick, didn't you just order it the other day?
no sir
i'm the one who shilled it
not the other guy who wanted one
Oh ok, That makes sense
came through pretty quick for aliexpress standard tho
ordered it on the 20th
a week from china is pretty quick
Yeah that's pretty good
I need to learn to solder
i'm essentially starting over and it's gonna be harder too
since im going for more difficult work
tinning small vias for wires and shit like that
I bought a macropad kit so I could learn on it, but I never actually got an iron
I'll probably end up with one of those USB irons that get shilled here every so often, and I since I don't really have desk space for a full setup, and I doubt I'll be soldering *that* much
tbh the KSGER isnt that big
KSGER mini is also an option if you have a power brick
TS80 and TS100 are good irons mind you just slightly more expensive and i'd prefer the interface of a stationary unit
Being a self contained thing I can just chuck in a drawer when not using it is the most appealing thing about the TS irons
ksger mini being equaly sized if not larger when you account for the powerbrick
Fair enough
I'll put it in the consideration whenever I finally get around to getting one
also im pretty sure the ts80/ts100 tip standard is different
its not t12
i guess the mini could save space if you also have lab-PSU capable feeding it
then you can just throw the barrel in its ass and lead to station and have a go with it
i mean you can put the brick on your floor
if you're starved for desk space
and yeah TS80/100 uses similar but separate tips
difference is 40mm versus 130mm
<:alismirk:230784726615588865>
quickly looking at banggood measurements at least
It used to
poor

Wrong channel IDIOT
@onoderaSecurity Mine is in the mail :))
`awaiting shipment`
So I'll guess it will take another month before I have the soldering station
Ah well, I can wait
@Matthew is shitpostbot, as they say, "one of us"?
@Billy Yum Yum Two-By-Two it's a bot
Yeah but I mean, whoever made it, is it a csg guy
I keep seeing the Ali smiley in its posts
