hello

2018-06-19 16:04:36 UTC

hey whatsup

don't give up folks. Strong message here

2018-06-21 16:28:33 UTC

Can anyone tell me, what is a man?

2018-06-22 09:25:19 UTC

can you tell us?

2018-06-22 12:45:17 UTC

A man is a male human being, and has an individual nature. A man is the representative of God on earth as he was created in God's image.

2018-06-22 12:46:12 UTC

does having an individual nature not clash with being a representative of God?

2018-06-22 12:46:31 UTC

Is God an individual?

2018-06-22 12:46:55 UTC

i'm not sure. it's your god we're discussing here. you seem to know more than i do

2018-06-22 13:19:05 UTC

Interesting

2018-06-22 13:19:49 UTC

What is a man folks?

2018-06-22 14:29:12 UTC

i've already asked if you can tell us - it's you using the word here. granted, it's pretty common for people to have personal abstractions of "Man" so you can fire that out there as a semantic blank and have people fill in the gaps with their own definitions, which you can deal with a number of ways

2018-06-22 14:44:45 UTC

I canโ€™t tell you. I asked the question to hear from everyone, not for everyone to hear from me.

2018-06-22 14:52:26 UTC

a man is a male adult.

2018-06-22 14:59:03 UTC

i'm more curious about the question than people's answers. that's why i asked. i guess we'll both wait to hear from the others before we get our answers

2018-06-22 15:13:12 UTC

The only reason I havenโ€™t answered is because I donโ€™t want people to piggy back on my answer. The question is simple. What is a man? Donโ€™t be shy

2018-06-22 15:14:54 UTC

i'm not shy, but i didn't use the word and i rarely use it. i'll define it when i do though - and the reason i asked you is exactly because i suspected you asked in the first place just so you could piggy back on someone else's answer for whatever reason

2018-06-22 15:14:59 UTC

there are people out there that do that, you know!

2018-06-22 15:20:07 UTC

Ok let me know when you figure it out lol.

2018-06-22 15:21:13 UTC

i'm not opting in to this one, but seeing as you had to go there, i'll be keeping my eye on how you deal with this definition of "Man" when you're talking to others

2018-06-22 15:25:48 UTC

Thatโ€™s fine

2018-06-22 15:44:27 UTC

๐Ÿค” This is weird I guess some people are scared to define what a man is?

2018-06-22 16:09:10 UTC

๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Confused, scared, unsure, self-conscious who knows. No one is going to get ridiculed or criticized for their answer.

2018-06-22 17:12:28 UTC

what yall talking about

2018-06-22 17:12:33 UTC

yall tallking about mans

2018-06-22 17:34:11 UTC

Yessir

2018-06-22 17:34:20 UTC

Question: what is a man?

2018-06-22 19:15:46 UTC

a dude that does what is right and loves it. bases everything he does off of what is right. In turn makes him logically, and allows his decisions to be moral.

2018-06-22 19:16:04 UTC

sorry I am in and out, I am at work atm

2018-06-22 19:16:29 UTC

logical*^

2018-06-22 19:33:23 UTC

it's not that i can't or am scared to define it lol. it's funny that you've both jumped on that instant conclusion. i don't want to define it for a few reasons and... i can promise you fear isn't one of them

2018-06-22 19:41:53 UTC

its okay bud, some ppl are growers not showers

2018-06-22 19:42:43 UTC

hahhahahaha

2018-06-22 19:54:56 UTC

haha

2018-06-22 19:55:07 UTC

so how yall doing now?

2018-06-22 19:55:18 UTC

who all here has kids?

2018-06-22 19:55:29 UTC

how did yall run up on jlp?

2018-06-22 20:11:01 UTC

no kids over here. don't want them either. as for jlp, he got thrown up on my recommended videos list on yt. i think it was a compilation of him or something.

2018-06-22 20:11:42 UTC

ah yeah that's right... i caught his talk with gavin mcinnes, and wished it was longer

2018-06-22 20:13:47 UTC

Nice, csquare you took the words out of my mouth lol. Iโ€™ll add that men that love what is right have that natural integrity to guide them. That force that we call god/godliness.

2018-06-22 20:14:58 UTC

kids? yikes, am i the youngest person in this group?

i found jlp on twitter, though i've only just recently began to be an avid watcher. i have some mixed views on the guy. i just think he's funny.

2018-06-22 20:15:30 UTC

same here, narratory, with the occasional show of respectable values and intelligence

2018-06-22 20:15:33 UTC

i do agree on a lot of what he says though. i guess it's just his execution that bothers me.

2018-06-22 20:15:36 UTC

occasional.

2018-06-22 20:15:55 UTC

that's true, anomie!

2018-06-22 20:16:53 UTC

he's not the only peterson i've got my eye on at the moment. jordan peterson's on my radar these days. i'm unsure about him too, but he's gaining a lot of influence

2018-06-22 20:17:46 UTC

Another snippet: a man has no problem recognizing the higher power that influences them. Naturally a man loves god.

2018-06-22 20:17:50 UTC

has jesse had jordan peterson on the show? i reckon they'd both get on pretty well

2018-06-22 20:18:08 UTC

Jordan Peterson is a interesting guy. Iโ€™ve read his books, very good stuff.

2018-06-22 20:18:14 UTC

@PastPresentFuture can an atheist or agnostic be a man?

2018-06-22 20:18:22 UTC

ah, nice. i have one of his books coming

2018-06-22 20:18:55 UTC

When I took my first IQ test I looked him up to see what his degrees of intelligence lecture meant

2018-06-22 20:19:27 UTC

honestly, i don't see what God has to do with being a man.

2018-06-22 20:23:39 UTC

@csquare I donโ€™t have any kids, once I marry my girlfriend we plan on popping them out like popcorn though. I found Jesse through his fallen state interview with the two black lives matter people. At first I thought he was just a funny guy that trolled the left but i analyzed his message and I can resonate with it. The thing I respect the most about Jesse is that e teaches and preaches for folks to focus on themselves; to know yourself to overcome your struggles and let go of anger via forgiveness.

2018-06-22 20:26:03 UTC
2018-06-22 20:26:29 UTC

i automatically have to accept god to be rebuilt as a man, according to you and jesse?

2018-06-22 20:27:06 UTC

@4rthur i wouldnโ€™t be able to show you or explain it so... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

2018-06-22 20:27:13 UTC

i assume there are many men out there who'd love jesse's help, but at the same time are put off by the religious aspects that come along with it

2018-06-22 20:27:48 UTC

are we talking the God Christians believe or must it be inclusive of other religions?

2018-06-22 20:28:00 UTC

is it not possible to "rebuild the man" from the ground up, morals and value systems, motivations, life-goals, everything, without having to impose religious belief?

2018-06-22 20:28:15 UTC

@Anomie no, itโ€™s a natural thing. It happens at a level that you arenโ€™t aware of but is realized later on. And thatโ€™s according to me, not Jesse.

2018-06-22 20:28:33 UTC

hm. alright

2018-06-22 20:29:07 UTC

I donโ€™t believe in the indoctrination of religion or forcing it upon people

2018-06-22 20:29:38 UTC

People canโ€™t be brought to god they have to come to him.

2018-06-22 20:29:56 UTC

what if they don't? are they not a man? are they evil?

2018-06-22 20:30:15 UTC

Most churches and religious organizations mess their congregation up by trying to โ€œlead a horse to water who doesnโ€™t want to drink.โ€

2018-06-22 20:30:24 UTC

that's true

2018-06-22 20:31:15 UTC

If they donโ€™t then they will live missing that link and wholeness in their life. Itโ€™s a different experience with each person Iโ€™d say. And if people donโ€™t want to come to god and are comfortable where they are, thatโ€™s fine too.

2018-06-22 20:31:47 UTC

I wonโ€™t think less of them for it.

2018-06-22 20:32:38 UTC

but they can't be a man?

2018-06-22 20:32:53 UTC

some might say that's thinking less of them for it

2018-06-22 20:34:30 UTC

No, they can pretend to be a man but the holes and their hunger for wholeness is still there. That doesnโ€™t mean I think less of a person for it, I know theyโ€™re doing the best they can. If they want help and I can help them then great. Iโ€™ll show them love regardless.

2018-06-22 20:39:00 UTC

i hope, when you do start to help someone or if someone confides in you, they don't feel any judgment off the back of that. i hope they'll be ignorant of the fact that you live by this distinction, because, if they are sincere with their will to change but at the same time they don't want to or just can't accept god sincerely yet, then you might still be able to help them. if they get a whiff of judgment or being categorised or up against the silent knowledge that, if they haven't accepted some religious doctrine, then they're not really "one" with you, it can be so much more difficult to be effective

2018-06-22 20:40:27 UTC

you have to understand that a lot of people will struggle with that aspect of things - just as you struggle with it too, i imagine, because it seems to be a central point here. but just as having your beliefs might alienate you from certain groups, you have to know that not having your beliefs inherently alienates others from you. that's the kind of thing people pick up on when you get into serious communication with them

2018-06-22 20:55:26 UTC

You must have not seen where I mentioned earlier that I donโ€™t agree with how mainstream religions and religious organizations try to force their ideology on people. I said that it messes people up. I donโ€™t just say these things randomly, this is all based on my experiences and struggles with religion, churches, god, etc. I remember how I was, I can see myself in other people as well, I know that a lot of young men like me hated the idea of religion and god and tried to oppose it and debate it at any chance I could. The best way that I can help people is how I helped myself. If you think I am the Bible thumping type youโ€™re mistaken, I donโ€™t even read the Bible.

2018-06-22 20:56:09 UTC

Thanks though lol

2018-06-22 20:57:21 UTC

unfortunately, you don't need to say it outright. it's the implications of your definition of man, and how nobody who doesn't accept god can not be that. they can't be a man or even live like a man without god, according to you - they can only pretend to be a man

2018-06-22 20:57:46 UTC

Lol

2018-06-22 20:57:50 UTC

Iโ€™m glad you said that

2018-06-22 20:58:00 UTC

me too, because this part confuses me

2018-06-22 20:58:09 UTC

The thing is, a man doesnโ€™t need help.

2018-06-22 20:58:16 UTC

lol

2018-06-22 20:58:21 UTC

i'm glad you said that

2018-06-22 20:58:24 UTC

speak on it, please

2018-06-22 21:02:00 UTC

A man doesnโ€™t seek out help to be a man. So why would I expect them to be a man? I made a comment earlier that a man accepts god at a spiritual level that most of us are unaware of happening* (at least for me, I wasnโ€™t aware until after waking up that I had that connection to god) what Iโ€™m saying here is that I wonโ€™t even have to drill someone on accepting god in this manner, it will happen naturally.

2018-06-22 21:03:16 UTC

why do we have discussions like this in the first place?

2018-06-22 21:03:36 UTC

Good question csquare I like it

2018-06-22 21:03:52 UTC

I like to have them to make folks think and reflect

2018-06-22 21:04:03 UTC

it is almost the only time I am ever physically interested in having a conversation any more IRL

2018-06-22 21:04:15 UTC

Itโ€™s engaging

2018-06-22 21:04:31 UTC

i like them because we learn from each other, when we're both open to it. communication that isn't just empty is one of the main things i enjoy on this planet

2018-06-22 21:04:33 UTC

kinda helps to stretch out and grow your own

2018-06-22 21:04:44 UTC

so fellowshipping is good thing

2018-06-22 21:05:09 UTC

Yes, fellowshipping is a good way to put it

2018-06-22 21:05:27 UTC

@PastPresentFuture do you follow the idea that a man who isn't a man is a woman, and hence, an evil person?

2018-06-22 21:05:51 UTC

Mmmm no.

2018-06-22 21:06:47 UTC

alright cool. that's one thing i haven't been able to wrap my head around so far, not for a lack of understanding

2018-06-22 21:14:40 UTC

I know you didnt ask me but I would say that thing that is suppose to be a man that aint. He is capable of evil.

2018-06-22 21:16:22 UTC

Yup

2018-06-22 21:17:36 UTC

If you are a male and have anger you are a beta.

2018-06-22 21:23:23 UTC

hmmm so

2018-06-22 21:24:16 UTC

this is a very strict, specific definition on what it is to be a man. it seems inspired by jesse's definition of man, which is, as i can gather, the ideal human being; the perfect christian male, and no other type of male can be a man. do i have that right?

2018-06-22 21:24:59 UTC

your input is appreciated here, csquare

2018-06-22 21:30:18 UTC

yes a man is a man.

2018-06-22 21:30:44 UTC

lol

2018-06-22 21:39:13 UTC

Any you hot bois listen to Roy masters?

2018-06-22 21:42:53 UTC

why aren't people allowed to be angry? even for a little while?

2018-06-22 21:43:54 UTC

i'm sure we all get angry once in a while. what is it about anger that makes one seem weak? it can be totally justified.

2018-06-22 21:44:41 UTC

i've heard jesse say anger comes from the devil, but i've also heard him say it has more to do with being a woman - i can't quote him on those because i can't remember, but those 2 had me a bit confused

2018-06-22 21:47:14 UTC

wow...

2018-06-22 21:47:26 UTC

Iโ€™ve never heard of Roy masters

2018-06-22 21:48:05 UTC

And yes like csquare said. Boys are boys, men are men, girls are girls and women are women.

2018-06-22 21:48:44 UTC

sometimes i wonder if jesse is being serious 70% of the time

2018-06-22 21:49:40 UTC

haha, i do too, narratory. he's got a sense of humour for sure, and doesn't hide it! the only problem is, half the bloody time you can't tell if he's joking or not when he says some of the things he does

2018-06-22 21:49:45 UTC

it's part of his appeal to me actually

2018-06-22 21:50:08 UTC

No one is saying you arenโ€™t allowed to be angry. Be angry if you want to be lol. I donโ€™t see the point of anger or any benefit from being angry. I have lost the desire to be in that state.

2018-06-22 21:50:56 UTC

well, not saying that we aren't -allowed- to be angry, but if we are, then we're either beta, a woman, or of the devil (hope you don't mind me bringing jesse's words into this and chucking them next to yours. if you do, just say)

2018-06-22 21:51:29 UTC

again, this is about what's not being said. the subtle implications of this definition of man

2018-06-22 21:51:48 UTC

Hehe

2018-06-22 21:52:49 UTC

I say that men who have anger are beta because itโ€™s the truth. Itโ€™s just a funny way to phrase it.

2018-06-22 21:54:16 UTC

In reality anyone to carries or holds onto anger is living under that illusion. If theyโ€™re comfortable with that so be it, but it will erode and cause problems down the line. I know that from experience.

2018-06-22 21:54:27 UTC

Anger has NEVER helped me in life.

2018-06-22 21:56:17 UTC

no doubt anger can be destructive as all fuck. it's never helped me either - in fact it's taken me further away from who i need to be. the anger didn't make me feel beta though, or womanly, or of the devil. for example: i used to be really into debating when i was younger, and i was very naive, ill-informed and misled, in that i only wanted to win a debate, not learn from this person or journey with them to new insight. i used to say i got so fired up because i was passionate for the talk, but really, it's because i was stupid

2018-06-22 21:56:34 UTC

i noticed that i could stay on track in a debate until i got angry, at which point i'd get dirty as hell with it

2018-06-22 21:57:34 UTC

i worked on my anger. i'm pretty free of the bullshit it used to throw up in my brain

2018-06-22 21:58:20 UTC

i just bring that up as an addition to what you said, ppf. now i think there wasn't much point, lol

2018-06-22 21:58:47 UTC

i wanted to ask if it's possible for someone to feel angry in response to a given situation without necessarily "having anger," in the sense of carrying it around with them etc

2018-06-22 22:07:23 UTC

Anomie I understand 200% , I also notice a moment right before I am about to blow tf up, where it if I just pay attention I don't act like an out of control woman

2018-06-22 22:08:38 UTC

yeah csquare, i'm with you on that one. a distinction someone made for me which really helped was that between a reaction and a response, and how, in tense situations, you might need to take a few seconds before engaging something, so you formulate a proper response instead of just reacting

2018-06-22 22:08:44 UTC

Whew this is hard to articulate but I will try

2018-06-22 22:09:05 UTC

respect, ppf

2018-06-22 22:15:10 UTC

I'm at home with my seeds, I'll look at yall later

2018-06-22 22:20:46 UTC

Having anger and not having anger is black and white, no grey area; from my experience in the situation that requires a quick response and would โ€œnormallyโ€ provoke anger or rage it came down to discerning reality. Itโ€™s very complex to put into words but in the heat of the moment I stay calm and in control, i let emotions go through me without holding onto it, the devil (the deceiver, the negative energy/chi/darkness/the lie/ etc.) tries to fill me with doubt or persuade me to ignore reality and associate and link memories, feelings, pride, whatever to convince me that the lie is reality. If I buy into that lie I would garner anger and it will lead me to ruin. If I doubt the doubt I can see reality clearly, I can understand the situation and the pressure/need for anger disappears. Even in the event that I need to defend myself physically I can act without anger.

2018-06-22 22:21:18 UTC

Anger comes from the devil

2018-06-22 22:21:30 UTC

The devil used women to get to the man

2018-06-22 22:22:37 UTC

Women arenโ€™t inherently evil, but are used by evil to pull others away from good. Like men, most women are unaware of what they do.

2018-06-22 22:23:23 UTC

Good women are influenced by good men and are able to function perfectly

2018-06-22 22:24:13 UTC

Bad women are or were influenced by bad and weak men. Women hate and resent a weak man and that destroys a woman... And the poison spreads.

2018-06-22 22:27:13 UTC

Later csquare โœŒ๏ธ

2018-06-22 22:34:35 UTC

ah, ppf, ty for answering. i'm in a skype call. give me 5-10, then i'll read

2018-06-22 22:34:44 UTC

It is possible to see the anger coming and cast it away. In time the initial feeling of anger wonโ€™t even exist. You will have peace

2018-06-22 22:34:50 UTC

No problem man

2018-06-22 22:41:04 UTC

You literally have to love the hell out of your wife

2018-06-22 22:41:45 UTC

Literally love the hell OUT of your wife

2018-06-22 22:43:01 UTC

Hah that's it

2018-06-22 22:44:10 UTC

Not sure if Iโ€™m coming in this with the correct context but Iโ€™d like to join the discussion. I find that I rarely have anger, these days especially. What I do feel is nervous energy, trembling etc, when in certain situations that would usually have sparked anger in the past. I feel nervous because I want to respond appropriately, stand my ground if necessary, but also not respond the way the person or situation expects me to. I usually feel peace afterwards when I successfully skirt anger. But there is an energy there that is powerful in the moment for me. Speaking usually about debate or tough conversations.

2018-06-22 22:45:28 UTC

Sounds like joy

2018-06-22 22:46:06 UTC

Like conversations with black children of the lie especially. They have so much hate for me. I try to come from a place of love when I explain whatโ€™s wrong in black culture and society. I think maybe Iโ€™m nervous that I wonโ€™t succeed in defeating the hate they feel

2018-06-22 22:46:15 UTC

Hate me*

2018-06-22 22:47:06 UTC

If they do nothing of value will be lost

2018-06-22 22:47:12 UTC

You know that

2018-06-22 22:47:15 UTC

I dunno what typo I just corrected ๐Ÿ˜‚

2018-06-22 22:48:32 UTC

I do feel that changing minds is valuable. Maybe thatโ€™s where it comes from, I want to express myself clearly and nervous that maybe I will be misunderstood

2018-06-22 22:50:11 UTC

Things like standing my ground are easy to do without getting angry because I know the difference between being assertive and being angry and being bullied as a kid taught me not to let people push me around. But a battle of the wits is sometimes tricky for me.

2018-06-22 22:51:00 UTC

Lol

2018-06-22 22:51:05 UTC

Maybe itโ€™s the fear of being misunderstood and the other party spiraling into anger and attacking you? (Not just physical attacks)

2018-06-22 22:51:22 UTC

Maybe it is fear

2018-06-22 22:51:51 UTC

Fear is another form of anger. Essentially fear is born from resentment or anger from the past.

2018-06-22 22:52:00 UTC

Ah I see

2018-06-22 22:52:32 UTC

I fear being wrong too

2018-06-22 22:52:45 UTC

thanks for answering man @PastPresentFuture

Fear is of the same nature of anger* the deceiver wants to put any emotion he can inside you to steer you into destruction

2018-06-22 22:53:08 UTC

Cheers ๐Ÿ˜ @Anomie

2018-06-22 22:53:08 UTC

You can learn from being wrong

2018-06-22 22:53:18 UTC

Very true

2018-06-22 22:53:40 UTC

yeah, fear does operate a lot of the same ways as anger. for me, being strong isn't about never feeling fear. it's about what you do with it, or don't. same with anger, or situations that would provoke anger

2018-06-22 22:54:08 UTC

jay, could you say your fear of being wrong is something to do with your self-image, either how you see yourself or want others to see you?

2018-06-22 22:54:22 UTC

It has to do with credibility

2018-06-22 22:54:26 UTC

Strength to me is conquering fear and overcoming anger. Being in control of yourself and knowing yourself

2018-06-22 22:54:35 UTC

what happens when you're proven wrong?

2018-06-22 22:54:56 UTC

Like especially in this day and age, you say one โ€œwrongโ€ thing and it can stick to you

2018-06-22 22:55:10 UTC

I try to be impeccable with words

2018-06-22 22:55:23 UTC

Ya I hear my Co workers go on prosocialism rants all day. .. I don't day nothing bc I'm paid to design not debate. That fear keeps me getting a check

2018-06-22 22:55:36 UTC

it sticks to you unless you let it change you. if people see that happening, it's hard for them to stick it to you

2018-06-22 22:55:37 UTC

Lol

2018-06-22 22:55:51 UTC

I agree anomie

2018-06-22 22:55:59 UTC

csquare, better keep certain conversations on your own terms. not where it can fuck with your livelihood

2018-06-22 22:56:06 UTC

Let it roll off ya

2018-06-22 22:56:12 UTC

Yes sir

2018-06-22 22:57:22 UTC

Well I wouldnโ€™t say thatโ€™s fear necessarily csquare

2018-06-22 22:57:34 UTC

Knowing the time and place to act is important

2018-06-22 22:57:44 UTC

Jesse says thereโ€™s a time for everything and heโ€™s right

2018-06-22 22:57:45 UTC

Agreed, Iโ€™m the same. Luckily I live in a red(ish) state, and most people here are conservative Christians with good morals. Itโ€™s hard to find liberals around here, even at work

2018-06-22 22:57:56 UTC

Fear of not eating hah

2018-06-22 22:58:00 UTC

Lol

2018-06-22 22:58:30 UTC

You are right that you get paid to design not debate, and itโ€™s the right thing to do so you can provide for you and the family

2018-06-22 22:58:32 UTC

Well I live in Louisiana and I work at the one place that stores libs

2018-06-22 22:58:44 UTC
