Wtf is up with the cat strength training?? Is that real? Attaching weights to an outdoor cat is a death sentence, dogs, coyotes and other cats would fuck it up.
I've never heard of that
I've seen studies attaching a weight to one wing of a bird but not that
If you're referring to the chan post ... lol
I remember that thread, was a joke
WOuld like to plan a climb
Any suggestions for a mad lad?
Finally went to the gym sauna
I always thought it sounded heinously unpleasant but it was p nice. Gonna sit in there after workouts now to bump up my heat tolerance because Iโm a bitch when it comes to high temperatures.
Approved
I had no idea how the 200 degree temperature was tolerable but it surprisingly is. The 105 degree steam room is much worse.
You sat in literal 200 degrees?
You don't?
I wish I could
My school has a sauna but it's in a dumb location
Sauna after working out is ๐๐ป
It would be nice if I could get convenient sauna access
I don't even have gym access during the Summer
well, I have my mom's condo gym, but it sucks
better to just do pushups and the like
wait, I should see if the condos have a sauna
Get a gym membership for the summer my slav friend
Yeah I didnโt know how it was possible to sit in 200 degrees and not die.
Itโs apparently because thereโs like. Zero humidity.
So you can kinda just chill.
If you ever get the chance, take a cold shower within a sauna
Best
Experience
Ever
... within?
How
I took one after. Was p nice.
As in having a shower within the sauna
I've had the pleasure, and it was amazing
I took like a 30 minute shower
How did you not die
Wouldnโt that make it intolerably humid in there
Mighty Spurdo genetics
Plus I think I've built up a tolerance with all the times I've made trips to the sauna
I was thinking of doing that
But it seems that most gyms want you to pay a large up front fee
If I can find one with a reasonable monthly price and no fee, though...
I got my parents to pay for a pretty pricy one for me, which was very nice of them. Kind of an unfortunate necessity here. My trip to the Y when I first came here was... interesting.
The one at my school was fine but there was literally always someone at the free weights area, never got a chance to get any lifting in.
Sauna after gym is a must
I go to a boxing gym and bought a crunch membership just to hit the sauna after
Sauna/jacuzi after working out actually has incredible anabolic effects
Interestingly enough high heat burns more calories to stay in as well
I work in 140F heat, 20 minutes on 20 minutes off
But I also always sauna after jiu jitsu. I feel like it helps with the aches and pains
I also read an article that Sauna releases more Hgh if you do it at least 4 times a week for over 20 minutes
Hate shoulder day
Boy I die
I think Iโm mercilessly fucking up dumbbell shrugs
Itโs my only thing today that doesnโt go until failure
Do I just need to use more weight?
dumbell shrugs?
How much weight?
45
Well, work up to that
Start at 30
4 sets
Use a barbell, and go heavy af
traps need weight
i've noticed wrestling naturally gives you traps for some reason
Traps support shoulders and neck which you use a lot during wrestling
Also physical competition with other men raises testosterone and trapezius are the first muscles to respond to raises in testosterone levels
Just ran for the first time in about 2 months
wew
Sprinted up a big hill and back to my apt, little over a mile. Amazing how much you deteriorate in such a short time,.
I'm getting so fat compared to what I was. Felt good to get back out in the sun and just sprint. Ready for Warrior Dash 2018 ๐ ๐
As much as I'm running and doing cardio I still know it's going to kick my ass lol
I'll be looking forward to a nice cold beer when we get back lol
a 5k shouldn't be too bad for you bro
Join me in August for a Spartan Race at Breckenridge, 12-14 miles. You learn what pain is at those races
You're in such good shape these days.
Long distance running and me have just never gotten along it seems like ๐
Whatโs up with Mexicans and exercising in jeans
Tell me about it. I'm glad I get to workout in the school's gym alone now that I'm coaching.
Just finished leg day cardio
Iโm tingly
The lying leg curls are hella tough for me.
This is good tho
Real leggy hours
Sauna time
I specifically got Stretchy/durable jeans of all types so I'd be able to fully utilize my mma in any occasion
@Austen I did wrestling for most of my life, it gives you traps because wresting is all about finding โlevers in the opponentโ (neck, arm, leg, etc) for example a duck under will work your traps because youโre pulling the opponent towards you.
Also the Chad Iowa Hawkeyes and Penn State vs the Virgin everyone else.
Dan Gabel ftw
Wrestlers gain a toughness and mental grit applicable to all facets of life.
Hard workin SOB's
Wrestlers are badasses.
They're also lots of fun to guillotine choke.
Proud to say I wrestled ๐ช๐ป
@Suomi Stronk letโs grapple in NE!
@Deleted User You're on brother!
I wrestled 8 years Let an iowa goy show you how it's done
Are you coming to the Warrior Dash next month? @Austen
not likely due to my work schedule
Damn. Not even for a single day? It's in Tekamah, which isn't too far from the border.
i work 7 days a week in the summer
tbh
That sucks. It'd been nice for you to stop by, even if you're not running.
I know, i will stop by during school semester time when I'm not working as much
Sounds good man.
Is it hard to find a good gym without intitiation fee?
I just need a place to work out for 2 months while I'm not in school
After that I'll just go back to my school gym
4.76 mile run tonight taking it easy
Switched to a 4.02 run, finished in 26:44
Way too slow
Should be 22-23
Hey, props for getting out and running that distance.
It's fun knowing there is some progress to be made too
I'm in the same boat.
Who in here has a good feel for estimating bodyfat from a selfie?@here
@Jacob You could just use the 2 months to go on a hardcore calisthenics kick, if gym shopping is going to be a hassle.
Theres lots of these on the inter-tubes if you search โbody fat pictures menโ
@Deleted User Yeah, these search results are so subjective.
There's no consensus.
I just going to claim 15% bodyfat
It's hard to estimate, because muscle size and fat distribution are also factors
I think im about 12 right now
maybe 13
If definitely claim though that the 13% looks pretty accurate for me
You're probably closer to 10-12% based on that picture you posted a while back
you guys should check out DexaFit. A DexaScan is the most accurate reading of BF % currently available
@Tyler0317 That might be what I'll have to do. I guess I'll need to read up on different exercises I can do without equipment so I can switch it up and affect more muscles. Still would be cool if I could figure out a way to get a gym membership for the time being. Largely for the sauna.
Check this out. They are making calisthenics great again!
I ended up finding a 3 month gym membership for $99
This is still useful though
Thanks
Jesus Christ
100$
home gym master race
That's a decent price for three months
Yeah, the 24 hour gym I used to go to was about $30 a month. I can go to my local YMCA for free due to me going to college, but I much preferred the 24 hour one
Good thing though is that both have a sauna, a must for me
@Deleted User Well... I don't really have a "home" for a home gym
I'm moving into an apartment when school starts back up
But I'll just use my school gym then
knowing how to work out without equipment is a great thing to know
Of course
Lol
Still confused on why the 1000lb total isn't yet a prerequisite to join IE
lmao
Some motivation at its finest
Nice, met that guy in Finland
Really nice and mild mannered, which is funny given what he talks about
Really Love that guys speeches. Listen to them when ever I feel down or lack of motivation on why we do this
Does this guy have valid complaints, or is he just butthurt that the trainer made him *actually work out*?
It sounds like it could be a bit of both.
eh, I'm leaning towards calling him a bitch but *I guess* trainers are supposed to make normies feel safe or something
It's not like he can't recover from any of that quickly, he's a beginner.
Lol โwell itโs obvious you need *tons* of improvement.โ
Would anyone in here want to do a Pikes Peak climb in August?
@Deleted User make sure you post some of the warrior dash photos in here.
@Der Seeteufel - SD theyโre in the <#395571432974843915> channel
@Deleted User It's gone now ;-;
Is it okay to do light cardio after working out legs?
Yes
Best time to do cardio is after lifting -- burns more fat since your glycogen stores are low/empty
Thanks
or early morning fasted, another great time
Where them warrior dash pics
He's read *Bronze Age Mindset*
Great video and song from Ukrainian nationalist band

@everyone can anyone here help me lose some weight? Unfortunately when I quit smoking I gained some Weight and I could use some help
Iโm sure we can.
pro tip, eat less and try a ketogenic diet
@Whitelash how frequently do you excercise? what sort of excercise do you do? What sort of foods do you consume on a weekly basis?
@Whitelash Like @Deleted User asked...
We need to know your current state and goals in order to be truly helpful.
This is where I started with weight lifting.
https://startingstrength.com/
aside from his ridiculous speaking, he puts out good info that and isnt trying to sell you on some diet other than prolonged fasting and cleansing your body.
@Whitelash look up vertical dieting by Stan Efferding
DON'T FALL FOR THE (((KETO DIET)))
HIGH CARB LOW FAT THAT
GET STRONK AND SLIM
Best way to lose weight is to just not eat...
rather, eat less
yes but matched with fasting it will give your body time to eat the fat youve stored and would like to get rid of as well as helping your body detox.
along with short walks after a meal to better regulate insulin response and get in LISS cardio
Its funny but I notice that the more I train, the less prone I am to aches and pains.
To a point I guess. I average about ten hours a week right now and except for a minor issue in my right knee, I don't generally feel any aches at all
High carb, low fat, high bicycle = lean
@Tanner - SC A man of culture, I see
One day mma and a healthy lifestyle will be synonymous with the nationalist movement
Not a bad article ๐

Shoulda ThotSlammed er
Hilarious. I cant wait to show this to a couple powerlifters I know and see their reaction
Thought on this new design I'm working on?
looks great
Thats sick
Id say make all that bad stuff even more visible. Let everyone know that all that crap makes you weak! But thats awesome man
@Robtheroman eff yeah
Yeah I'll brighten the chaos at the bottom going to make into stickers and the back of a shirt
That is a really great graphic. There is so much garbage in this world and it's set up to be so convenient (like drive thrus) that people forget it's even bad for them. This is a good reminder.
The garbage we consume has become so normalized
@Robtheroman I canโt wait till the dayโs when all of the cool kids at the high schools are wearing right brand and you have stores in all of the malls in the country.
@Deleted User Hey, can you get a server invite into the main server for @Rogue
@Deleted User rogue isn't in the national server?
How did someone get into this server without being on the national server?
No no, haha. I meant post a server invite to this server *in* the main server, for rogue
>get rogue in here
Gotcha
Curious what ya'll think of this part specifically:
`Frequency: 5-6 Workouts a Week
I've used the six times a week split during times I wanted to improve body composition (fat loss with muscle retention) at an accelerated pace. Essentially you're just burning more calories each week (duh) than if you were training four times a week.
Any time you're training with such a high frequency, be cognizant of both workload and effort. The three variables you have to adjust to meet the demands for recovery are frequency, volume, and intensity (both relative and perceived).
Since frequency is very high with this split, then either intensity or volume should be limited. If you enjoy training balls-out, stick to a very low volume approach. If you enjoy doing a lot of volume, then back off on the weight selection and leave some reps in the tank on each set.`
Only difference between 5-6 workouts a week, compared to 4 a week, is accelerated fat loss. Do ya'll think that's true? 4 day gives similar mass gain and strength gain compared to 5-6 days?
`Go With Your Goal
For strength-focused lifters, three times a week works best.
For guys looking to build mass, four times a week is money.
For those wanting to improve body composition quickly, six days a week will get the job done.`
oh man
It really depends
@Rogue I've heard that more than once.
Body needs rest
Depends. If you're sitting in a cubicle all day I would say go for 5-6x a week..if you work a physical demanding job then just stick with essential lifts at 4x a week
Right.

Some one red pill me on supps for joints. I am in my early 30โs and have never had joint pain until recently. Iโve red up on some forums but each post contradicts the next and I donโt know who to trust. I think my diet may be hurting me a bit there but Iโm not sure.
