and then taxed the use of the region
Yeah they did nothing wrong.
Taxation is theft. Fuck the Republic.
the senate was entirely corrupt around that time
Everyone was taking bribes
ehhh I think the Trade Federation was also dependant on the Republic
and they were just bleeding naboo dry
I hope they bring him back to maybe give him not a shit end......
@Weaboo Kempeitai Check your mentions to raise your T level
Man that's Mary Sue bullshit. Rebels is Mary Sue bullshit.
i really hope this next star wars bombs. I don't see how it can salvage their story line
Rebels was gay
Tbh the Maul Arc seems like the only thing in this series worth watching, because of Sam Witwer's excellent voice acting.
Season 1 and 2 of Rebels was lit
3 was saved by Thrawn
4....... garbage on a Last Jedi level
are we talking about Rebels?
that shit was bad
Rebels did Maul good tbh. His send-off was excellent.
everyone looked like starved Ugandans
indeed
https://youtu.be/wRNsAWyLrj4 Fuck Clone Wars was sooo much better though, and more mature.
ha
The Maul/Obi Wan battle was exactly what it needed to be
the Maul vs Obi-wan in Rebels was what should have happened in Clone Wars
Obi-wan would have destroyed Maul, if we are talking Episode 3
old man Kenobi probably has arthritis ๐
Yes, and if you notice, it looks like it was a re-used script
it didn't fit into Rebels at all
had to be shoe-horned
Rebels copied the Old Wounds comic book that came out in 2004
darth maul shits in a colostomy bag now
I chose to believe he was given a robot colon
reusing a defeated major enemy seems like a cash grab,to me
it pretty much was
The old Republic is where it's at
which is a creative turn off as well
the prequels suck for its villains
no central figure like Darth Vader
Maul, Dooku, Grievous
too many unimportant villains
Dooku COULD have been a great villain. But they never get into his background and motivations
@Emperor of Atlantis Disagree.
He just seems like a confused old man
They even cut a scene out of Ep II that tries to explain Dooku
Maul and Dooku screentime is nothing
wow really?
oh yeah I remember that
when Kenobi is talking to the Librarian
yep
Episode 2 was a Young Adult novel
thats the one
There is a bust of Dooku in the library
I remember the scene where Dooku is like the Sith are in the senate
And she is talking about how good a person he was. Turned due to a political disagreement
and Kenobi said it was a lie ๐
the Senate part I mean
Maul was important, but Dooku and Grievous were greatly underutilised. Grievous was basically a comic-relief villain who couldn't do anything right despite how badass his abilities were. Dooku was some scheming old man whose schemes generally amounted to nothing, whose apprentices either went rogue or became cartoonish comic relief villains. You get the jist.
They should've focused more on Dooku's former ties to the Jedi Order, and Kenobi, considering that he was Qui Gon's master.
do you guys remember the one where Kenobi is floating in the chamber thing?
yeah, hehe. Dooku actually had decent intentions, but was ultimately a pawn of Sidious
why was Maul important?
he was pretty much irrelevant to the plot
he was also the weakest of Palpatine's apprentices
the Clone Wars ruined Dooku most
unfortunately, darth maul was irrelevant,
Although he could have been a cool character
it made him seem confused af
Clone Wars did but it didn't
Nah, the coup on Mandalore and the fight with Sidious. His quest for revenge against both Kenobi and Sidious. @Emperor of Atlantis
at least they developed Dooku more
Maul was almost just a Sith hitman for Palpatine
but that wasn't a part of the Prequels
that was Clone Wars
CW is prequels.
and Darth Maul was ridiculously over powered in Clone Wars
It's canon either way.
CW is more of a retcon
Nah, he still lost to Sidious.
Nah, it's canon, and actually redeems the prequels, by making Anakin's transition to the dark side seem more gradual.
darth maul wasn't OP.
it's the other jedi who were pussies
wut? Clone Wars did NOTHING to further Anakin. That is my biggest complaint with it.
his character didn't grow at all during the series
I disagree
over all those seasons we never saw any of his dark/light conflict
Incorrect
Clovis
Mortis
His constant use of force chokes
Ug.... from the 5th season....
God that was a terrible season
the Netflix season.....
Tbh, Legends all the way. Read the NJO
Thats the real sequels
CW actually got better as the series went on IMO, since Lucas actually got some creative freedom once they knew the series wasn't gonna get cancelled.
Vector Prime is where you should start
Yeah, the show got MUCh better after season 1, but that "lost" season was utter trash
Correct
Except for making Darth Bane canon
I want an Old Republic TV series
I've wanted a Rogue Squadron series since the 80s
Damn you're old
Whats that sonny? The ears aren't what they used to be
in Clone Wars Maul was OP as fuck
the actual Maul was never that strong
Correct and he should not have been
and Episode 3 Kenobi would have destroyed him
Episode 4 Kenobi DID destroy him ๐
Correct
But all in all
Like it was nothing at all
yeah but Episode 3 Kenobi should have done it
and Episode 4 Kenobi was really old
he shouldn't have been that strong in Rebels
Well so was maul at that point
darth maul HAD the high ground...
Grandmaster Luke >>>> Sidious >>> Yoda >>> Vader >>>> Mace >>>> Obi Wan >>>>Anakin
in Episode 3 Kenobi was one of the absolute strongest Jedi
Luke literally beat Abeloth. A being with a midochlorian count of 240000
in skill his Soresu couldn't be defeated
and his strategic ability was better than maybe all the Jedi
when Star Wars becomes Dragon ball z
it's over 9000 meme here
Tbh, GM Luke is the strongest jedi
His force potential is equal that of Anakin
Luke in the old canon was the strongest
But unlike Anakin, he reached it
but other characters like Vitiate and Revan are hard to quantify
so I don't really know
I think Vitiate might have beaten Luke
The ancient sith were a whole different beast
RIP old cannon
Vitiate was probably the strongest of all time
He was a god after all
But Sidious was stronger if you ignore sorcery
@21ooAB Aren't they adding the Vong to the Disney canon?
I dunno
@Emperor of Atlantis Yeah but has a character, he evolved, after stewing for so long and focusing his rage. Plus, he had help from his brother, Savage.
Maul did a lot of feats in CW which he shouldn't have been able to
Thoughts?
also Dooku was underpowered
Correct
Dooku was WAY stronger than Maul
Dooku was a proper sith lord
Like? Beating Pre Vizla, a non-force sensitive Mandalorian? Or killing a Jedi? I mean, he killed Qui Gon, who was Jedi Council material.
and would have probably killed Anakin 1 vs 1
And he lost to Kenobi every time, lost to Sidious.
Be was by no means OP.
no on Mandalore, Maul was able to Force Choke Kenobi and throw him
Any good sith lord could have killed Qui Gon
this shouldn't have been possible
because Maul wasn't that strong
also Episode 3 Kenobi was way stronger
and Grievous is way too weak as well
Yes
as a comparison Grievous is meant to be really strong
Savage overpowering both Dooku and Ventress, now that's OP.
Kenobi basically defeated him effortlessly
yes Savage is way too op
@Emperor of Atlantis Dude, his strength was totally reasonable. And you're agreeing with me.
Clone Wars 2003 Grevious is way better
Tbh his new legs made him more powerful.
No
He lost force sensitivity
That was the OG gevious, I don't know why they cucked him tbh.
his claws made him more lethal
.
And? So did Vader.
but at the cost of balance and losing power
Maul was never that strong to begin with
they just needed the fanboys to love the new Maul though
Maul could jump higher, and use his legs to grip onto things like Gevious.
Gevious was extremely underused though.
At least the 2003 series explains his weakness away by having Mace crush his lungs, even if it was ham-fisted.
But CW turns him into a laughing stock.
I suppose an exception was when he attacked the Mother Talzan
This grevious was OP as hell
Delivering dozens of strikes in seconds
yeah
everyone was OP in the 2003 CW
Tbh, Grevious in theory should have been able to kill any Jedi Master
As delivering 1000s of strikes a second cannot be blocked
even with max force sensitivty
Literally the only time Gevious was a badass outside the 2003 series. https://youtu.be/wIoIpJ5eou8
at least up close
the 2003 CW got Anakins slow slide into the Dark correct
Disagree.
Anakin went through a lot in CW, and his upbringing didn't teach him how to deal with it. He probably had PTSD.
I think 2003 got it better.
They actually show him struggling, and go into his hidden affair more
the re-boot CW never even touched on Anakins temptation over the course of 4 seasons expect maybe one time briefly
Tbh, I think TCW did it better
On Mortis
The torturing of the genosian
Clovis.
Okay
they didn't do it better
but they were competent
@21ooAB Pretty sure CW has a scene like that in an unfinished episode. Same race as Watto.
He's obviously prejudice against Watto's race.
hard to believe the entire run was barely over 2 hours
<:CHAD:396569198404435969>
Tbh his transition to the dark was always understandable, Lucas was just a shitty writer.
You have PTSD, wife is pregnant and your getting premonitions of her death in childbirth, so not only do you blame yourself, but you can't go to anyone about it because to do so would be to risk getting kicked out of the Order that basically raised you and gave you everything, but also indoctrinated you to never express any emotional distress, so your basically bottling everything up, only to be promised the solution to all your problems by one old man, who you trust, just as much, if not more than the Order.
I mean, Palpatine basically acted as a father to Anakin.
<:monkaS:299267496668692493> <:tucker:587843675413807106> <:black_pill:565703068478341151>
fuck the jury
Yeah, I have no issue with how it played out in the movies, but the CN Clone Wars never even touched on it. The Clone Wars should have had TONS of opportunities for him to struggle with the dark side temptation
palpatine is based
How did that jury decide that?
the dark side was the right side
<:CHAD:396569198404435969>
I can understand a pozzed judge... but a JURY?
the father should kidnap the kid and gtfo of the country
texas i'd set up a ship in Houston to morocco
<:basedmama:396156349676781569>
mad hash decent cities and no extortion
<:JFGOD:439598359628611604>
shit like that, should be the final straw for *any* father
jf serenade stream
^
Should take the kid and run off to Russia like that Swedish father did.
<:athUG:632619232852574208>
yea but they more then likely tag the father on watch
<:alex:401875510923100180> but hey texas has alot of gangbangers for rent
i would do what needed to be done
<:CHAD:396569198404435969>
a vacation to Russia with no return would be the best way to give a "fuck you" to the mother
and America
Yes
sad now a days i trust my kids more to mexican thugs then white women
<:mlady:389497741769703424>
