This is in the same vein of saying 'nationalist' rather than 'ethno-nationalist' and for the same reason, by default-defining these phrases we reinforce that america was founded as a type of ethnostate, and that nationalism is ethnocentric by definition. Thoughts on shifting our language to be more default defined?

I think it's good to have identitarian and nationalist initiatives coexisting and cooperating. Nationalism's more pallatable, but incomplete, and tends toward chauvinism. That's where we come in.
