Very white pilling day today, my church has taken a fascist turn. The short of it is that local churches were becoming degenerate so the denomination as a whole just did a vote to force errant churches back in line with what the Bible says. A public letter was written by one of the leader pastors of the errant churches consoling the "young men and women" of the church talking about how they are filled with fear and anger looking to the future.
It was a good day.

I suggest that everyone living in a state with a vulnerable Republican governorship start volunteering. Wisconsin, Florida, Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, Nevada, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Iowa are all vulnerable to flipping.

Why does reporting the facts of the case result in a mistrial and you get contempt of court? I get that if thatโs the rule you donโt report on it so you can put child rapists behind bars, but I disagree with that law

The reason it can result in a mistrial is because the jury is only supposed to get information from the court, so, theoretically, outside reporting can prejudice the jury
Not saying I necessarily agree with the law, but he knew what the implications of breaking it were
