I did grow up among many white army and ROA immigrants
so that's how my positions and viewpoints where shaped
A lot of people come to the same conclusions without that, though, so no biggie
The entire strip is Mexican tonight. They are an unbelievably proud people. Only a matter of time until the normies all wake up.
Vegas strip?
This was in FL
Lol I hate them soooooooo much
They act as if native Americans spoke Spanish
Do you ever see them post that "South Americans are Americans, too" stuff?
Or that, "all of this is America" showing the entire western hemishpere
Trying to rip off the American identity to muddle the immigration issue
Like we're going to call ourselves United Statesians or something
Theyโre the worst. Played them in soccer. Oh the number of times they cheated.
@Wotan Reborn
>Played soccer
>There's your problem!
@Alex Kolchak - NY Lots of Irish immigrants fought for Mexico in the Mexican American war because Mexico promised them citizenship. There are quite a few Castizo Irish in Mexico
Canelo รlvarez is pure Hispanic.
โ Pure...... ๐
Why are the most ethnically proud people usually the ones who should least be proudร
There is a Greek woman at my job who brings Greece up constantly, speaks Greek to herself randomly, and insults other nationalities any chance she gets while asserting that Greeks are generally better at everything.
She's also one of our worst employees and is very stupid.
Nor is she white, she's a half-Turkish second generation immigrant in America.
In the field of psychology, the DunningโKruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people of low ability have illusory superiority and mistakenly assess their cognitive ability as greater than it is. The cognitive bias of illusory superiority comes from the inability of low-ability people to recognize their lack of ability; without the self-awareness of metacognition, low-ability people cannot objectively evaluate their actual competence or incompetence.
THE CELTOID INVASION WILL NOT BE STOPPED
Hi
How's everyone's Sunday?
Oh crap, the Germanics are here. Hide your potatoes, boys
Das rite
I might go fishing before mass and my evening meetings.
I'd have to go to Walmart and buy a license tho...
It's been years.
What, like $20?
Yeah nbd
Just the added trip and the fact that it's been so long since I've gone at all.
Yeah, gotya
I'm taking a break from packing up. I'm moving to another city today
Interesting. For work reasons?
Yeah
You bought a home, right?
No, I didn't. I got talked out of it
I want a house very badly, but I should wait
Hmmm
Staying in Florida?
Yeah
Still Central
I'm so tired of paying what equals a monthly mortgage payment in rent.
For sure
Me too
But, most analysts say we're at the top of the market
Gonna look to buy in the next year. Was scheduled to look at 2 homes right after cville...but considering my situation at that time, I backed out.
Yeah this current economic cycle is gonna sour within a few years
How low will the market drop though?
Dat yield curve
Thatโs the question
@Deleted User no one knows
No one really even knows if it will drop
No one knows if we're at the top
It's just the consensus among experts
5%? OK on a 100k house that's 5K less than a years rent at 500 per month.
^^^^
Yea for sure, just stuff to consider.
Some people think itโs just the generic market correction that happens every 10 years or so, that happens every time the fed increases interest rates. Other people think itโs going to be really bad since a lot of assets are considered to be overvalued (which was prompted by the buy up after the 2008 recession.)
My thoughts as well, but it couldn't hurt to wait a year and a half
I did the math on that as well @Deleted User
There is no real predicting of a market cycle. For example if the average time between recessions is 7 years, none of the sample recessions will have lasted 7 years.
The S&P500 is like... doing better than it should be doing, honestly.
Ehh yeah and then another 18 months and another...
No explicit predicting, however watching for the yield curve to invert is a standard hallmark.
You're a bit older than me, though ๐
I'm in the get a house, get married, have kids mindset full stop though.
Oh no doubt.
@Deleted User and mow the lawn
If the market doesn't take a serious turn for the worse in the next year and a half, I'm buying. There's no stopping me
Hell yeah brother. BOOMERTOWN Usa
By then, my savings will be more than sufficient for a very sizeable down payment
Never get a 30 year
Iโm sure you know that but still
30 years are the worst thing on the planet
I plan on putting down at least half the value of the home
15 should be no problem for you then
Iโm not incredibly well versed in real estate finance but uh. Spending over twice what a property is worth just sounds unpleasant.
Obviously, given my profession, I won't be able to live like a king, but I'm very frugal and have some money tucked away
I'm looking at $150k properties
It's hard to do, but shit, it's a goal
A 150k property in central Florida probably isnโt *too* hard to find
You can get houses for 6k here
You wouldnโt want to live in them.
You can find tear downs around here for that kind of money, but it's hard to secure loans, and demolition is expensive
I mean, most here are that cheap because of the area.
Ooooooooh
*the area*
OOOOOOOOH
Yeah itโs cheap because itโs in Darfur.
False Flag
Mhmm.
Just something pretty I saw.
There's an Instagram account called "Cheap Old Houses" that features *gorgeous* old fixer uppers all over the country for less than 100k. Caveat, they're all in *certain neighborhoods* or really economically depressed areas. My Victorian renovation dreams are still on hold.
@micbwilli Cool, but holy crap, it's gonna send me into a seizure, lol.
I wish it would slow down a little. Definitely looks cool. @micbwilli
