gen x and boomers went through disco fever
gen y had it's own fever with mtv and rap culture

2018-09-10 03:15:55 UTC

Entire swathes of the country have been ruined thanks to globalism

2018-09-10 03:16:45 UTC

Itโ€™s not really a personal responsibility issue. If you remove economic opportunities from a certain area, people are going to fall into poverty.

2018-09-10 03:17:18 UTC

Letโ€™s find a new topic please

2018-09-10 03:18:23 UTC

So what are approved topics that we can actually discuss?
Why can there not be some pushback on subjects like this?

2018-09-10 03:18:34 UTC

Can we just sperg about Juice and race/IQ?

2018-09-10 03:19:07 UTC

how about this...
Anyone got some recommendations for good classical music?

2018-09-10 03:19:39 UTC

No vocals, I'm not really into Opera or the like.

2018-09-10 03:21:12 UTC

Rule 2 is open-ended for a reason. If a topic becomes too divisive, we ask people to continue the discussion elsewhere.

In terms of classical music, Iโ€™m a fan of composers like Beethoven, Strauss, Holst, etc.

2018-09-10 03:22:16 UTC

Does Carl Orff count?

2018-09-10 03:26:08 UTC

the Choir i sing with performed "Requiem for the Living by Dan Forrest" last year and it was such a beautiful piece. Mostly in Latin... very moving. Dan Forrest is a pretty young guy but he comes up with amazing stuff.

2018-09-10 03:28:00 UTC

Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff and Paganini for me

2018-09-10 03:28:23 UTC

*jots all these funny European names down for Spotify later*

2018-09-10 03:31:17 UTC

Schubert is also really good

2018-09-10 03:32:11 UTC

if you guys want to listen to it as you fall asleep tonight... it is such a beautiful touching piece. and .... i d like to point out the entirely white choir LOL

2018-09-10 03:33:41 UTC

Tchaikovsky

2018-09-10 03:35:06 UTC

My absolute favorite piece of all time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqAOGduIFbg

2018-09-10 03:35:59 UTC

Anyone excited for deer season?

2018-09-10 03:36:53 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN gonna try to head up north to my buddies land this season

2018-09-10 03:37:03 UTC

Fill the freezer

2018-09-10 03:37:24 UTC

do you guys have Mule deer in OK or just White Tailed Deer?

2018-09-10 03:37:33 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN Iโ€™m pretty pumped

2018-09-10 03:37:48 UTC

Deer chili is my fav

2018-09-10 03:38:29 UTC

The original NazBol composer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4U7wNZu-CU

2018-09-10 03:39:05 UTC

I like the impressionists alot, both in music and art.

2018-09-10 03:39:12 UTC

people have given me shit for it before.

2018-09-10 03:39:27 UTC

Mostly white tail and elk in SWOK. Mule up in the panhandle.

2018-09-10 03:39:36 UTC

Turkey and Boar everywhere

2018-09-10 03:39:59 UTC

right on.

2018-09-10 03:40:48 UTC

Because impressionism was perhaps the first deviation from classical art and painting and signaled a step away from objective beauty to a slightly more subjective study of the topic - I read impressionism and viewing art through a lense though.

2018-09-10 03:41:01 UTC

@Virgil I wouldn't want to be listening to "Storm" in my car...I'd end up getting a speeding ticket first time out. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

2018-09-10 03:41:20 UTC

The land my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were raised on still has our hunting "lodge" on it. No place I value more.

2018-09-10 03:41:22 UTC

Gotta get myself down to hog hunt down south. I'd love to do that sometime.

2018-09-10 03:41:27 UTC

@Deleted User Impressionists are like fancy color by number artists.

2018-09-10 03:42:05 UTC

@Asatru Artist - MD perhaps yeah, some are more talented than others. I still enjoy it though.

2018-09-10 03:42:16 UTC

I remember as a kid, one of my friends moms (Peruvian lady) was a really talented paint by number artist.

2018-09-10 03:42:19 UTC

@Asatru Artist - MD Honestly I listen to it to go to sleep lol

2018-09-10 03:42:26 UTC

Yeah most states with a hog problem don't require a license for it as long as it isn't another season and you are on private land. In OK there are no limits on hogs taken OR firearms used!

2018-09-10 03:42:33 UTC

I would be awake for hours after this music.

2018-09-10 03:43:01 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN that's awesome. I'd love to arrange a private trip in a year or two.

2018-09-10 03:43:17 UTC

Considering getting a 50 Beowulf for hogs lol

2018-09-10 03:44:02 UTC

Well if we ever meet at a national event, then maybe you can come down here!

2018-09-10 03:44:13 UTC

I'm at most of them.

2018-09-10 03:44:23 UTC

For hogs all I will charge is beer

2018-09-10 03:44:36 UTC

What a deal!

2018-09-10 03:44:45 UTC

If I did hog hunting, it would have to be from a helicopter...that looks bada$$.

2018-09-10 03:45:09 UTC

Hogs are dumb and easy enough to kill. Feels unsportsmanlike - even if they are invasive pests

2018-09-10 03:45:29 UTC

Unironically my dad's friend's dad when he crashed into a hill, shooting coyote from a biplane

2018-09-10 03:45:36 UTC

It does look fun though, I'll admit it!

2018-09-10 03:45:43 UTC

well you can always use a spear

2018-09-10 03:46:48 UTC

Impressionism is a travesty

2018-09-10 03:47:04 UTC

I'm not into hunting, but if I did it, it would have to be with a bow or spear or something more "personal" and challenging.

2018-09-10 03:47:18 UTC

Trad_art_critic14 has logged online

2018-09-10 03:47:21 UTC

And I would have to eat whatever I killed.

2018-09-10 03:47:59 UTC

Bowhunting turkey and deer is cool. Of course I support using the meat

2018-09-10 03:48:12 UTC

sport hunting is big ghey to me

2018-09-10 03:48:18 UTC

@Deleted User I have alerts set for when someone mentions impr*ssionism

2018-09-10 03:48:29 UTC

I'd expect nothing less.

2018-09-10 03:48:35 UTC

I disapprove of hunting predators in anything but defense

2018-09-10 03:48:55 UTC

it doesnt let me asterisk everything now thats big dumb

2018-09-10 03:49:07 UTC

although I have met fur trappers up north and have grown to understand them better

2018-09-10 03:49:10 UTC

All I need is some fried chicken and grape drink!

2018-09-10 03:49:36 UTC

wow @Wotan Reborn very woke and healthy as well!

2018-09-10 03:49:57 UTC

nothing will get you in "shape" faster than fried chicken and faygo

2018-09-10 03:50:18 UTC

Round is a shape

2018-09-10 03:50:27 UTC

Lol

2018-09-10 03:51:26 UTC

but yeet Impressionism is the first art period where artists really started promotng individual perception of art. It was arguably good because these guys were European, and Classically trained, but being a personal and individualistic style, it very quickly degraded. @Deleted User

2018-09-10 03:51:59 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN Unless that "fur trapper" is actually wearing what he's trapping...I disapprove completely. But I'm admittedly not "in the know", so...

2018-09-10 03:52:18 UTC

Impressionism isn't bad, in fact I like the experimental nature of a lot of impressionist art. It was a welcome relief from the increasingly stale and photo-realistic.

2018-09-10 03:52:29 UTC

can anyone give me the tldr of the swedish election?

2018-09-10 03:52:30 UTC

@Kingfish yeah I appreciate the critique but I still like the art that was produced. It wasn't good because these guys were European - it was good because they were talented.

2018-09-10 03:52:32 UTC

I am talking the Canadian border and north of that. Yes, most of the fur is used as riffs on anoraks

2018-09-10 03:52:41 UTC

i missed the results as well.

2018-09-10 03:52:50 UTC

*ruffs

2018-09-10 03:52:52 UTC

from what one member reacted, it sounded like the cucks won again

2018-09-10 03:54:11 UTC

@Deleted User well I said it was because they were both European *and* classically trained. Impressionism enabled these two aspects to no longer be relevant to making good art. Imo Impressionism was good because it was made by well trained classical artists

2018-09-10 03:54:23 UTC

and wildlife is actually well managed in this country for the most part. ( because it is usually a state instead of federal purview). Most weavers, otters, etc taken are at a sustainable level

2018-09-10 03:55:27 UTC

Endangered species act etc is federal, but non threatened game animals are handled by State governments

2018-09-10 03:56:24 UTC

@Goose The Moderate Party won, and their are center right and a center left coalitions that both stand at about 40%. Sweden Dems got around 18% of the vote and are in a kingmaker position. But since neither coalition will work with them, Sweden might have some sort of snap election soon.

2018-09-10 03:57:01 UTC

dang. Why can't Marcus marry some princess and become king?

2018-09-10 03:58:03 UTC

@Kingfish glad you're admitting impressionism is good now.

2018-09-10 03:58:07 UTC

welcome to the winning team!

2018-09-10 03:58:08 UTC

@Virgil so i'm guessing, bad?

2018-09-10 03:58:19 UTC

Alright so the next elections in Europe are in Bosnia, Latvia, and Luxembourg. All in October I believe. Latvia doesnโ€™t concern me since theyโ€™re virtually 100% white and probably wonโ€™t change based on party control. Bosnia is is pretty white besides the occasional Turk. And Luxembourg is just about what youโ€™d expect. Are these elections we should be paying attention to or not?

2018-09-10 03:58:31 UTC

no

2018-09-10 03:58:47 UTC

I never denied that the art Produced in Impressionism is bad per say, it did kind of start the beginning of the end of Classical art

2018-09-10 03:59:03 UTC

Latvia is worth watching due to the NATO vs Rus dynamic

2018-09-10 03:59:17 UTC

Bavaria has state elections in October

2018-09-10 03:59:21 UTC

that's more worth watching

2018-09-10 04:00:13 UTC

Latvia has a rising right wing base so thatโ€™s always good. And the AfD is polling fairly strong in Bavaria. What matters now is whether or not the CSU will form a coalition with them

2018-09-10 04:00:21 UTC

I'm mostly messing with you now. I agree that it's probably the high water mark of classical art - even though it opened the door for artistic decadence I appreciate it in it's own right.

2018-09-10 04:01:20 UTC

not 'high water mark' - "swan song" that was the phrase I was looking for.

2018-09-10 04:01:48 UTC

I also saw some people counter-signaling sports hunting. won't say those folks are wrong. but... they're wrong.

2018-09-10 04:02:05 UTC

That timing

2018-09-10 04:02:13 UTC

as for Bavaria: the only real question is how many votes from the non-party affiliated people and the CSU AfD steals
