Anyways, as I've said before. Ketogenic diets are okay for short term weight loss goals or for those who don't do HI workouts. For those who live a sedentary life or whose workouts are as intense, it could be okay in the short term. But the fact is our bodies are designed to run off of glucose for a reason. While there are some genetic limitations, proper caloric intake combined with a varied exercise program, adequate sleep, and proper supplementation is a much easier and healthier approach to sustainable weight loss

All I know is I lost 70lbs in 3 months by intermittently fasting and eating vegetarian every other day.
I went from size 38 to 31
I've lost nearly 40 lbs and have maintained the majority of my strength since then ๐
Having an active job helps too. I was behind a desk, now Iโm a blue collar A/C guy.
>Not deciding how to eat based on the evolutionary diet of white people
True. Go full Paleo.
b but your brain burns glucose before anything else! That means it's the preferred fuel source
>eating anything other than whole eggs
Imagine you're a Cro-Magnon in the middle of a European winter. You aren't living a sedentary lifestyle and you sure as hell aren't running on glucose.
I mean if you're eating a diet filled with fruits and vegetables that were often forged, then yeah you were
And there's a reason why populations with more varied diets tend to be healthier
Carbohydrate intake doesn't mean you should be scarfing down simple sugars
>fruits and vegetables in the middle of winter
>these weren't stored for the winter
>Not 20,000 years ago, no

I dunno how I feel about basing my entire strategy off the species that lost
Trump is on his way to my hometown, do I flyer the area ?
All I know is that consuming low glycemic carbs one day of the week is enough for me.
These Amerindians seem to be winning, let's all eat like them
Incontrovertible proof farming ghey

Make America Paleolithic Again
>wanting to be preyed on by the American Lion this much
I like ordering floral dresses online as much as the next girl but tbh civilization was a mistake
the virgin paleolithic vs the CHAD ironage
@Salo Saloson No one is talking about going to Chicago
oosh
tfw no giant nightmare predators to worry about
tfw people are so comfortable they fantasize about the struggle for survival
Spending my whole life engaged in surrogate activities makes me very uncomfortable
yeah but you aren't exactly fighting cave bears
unless CA is _way_ weirder than I remember
>cave bears
Where else do you think bears live?
the woods
we also can't forget short-faced bears, beardogs, or dogbears
(note: not all alive during the paleolithic)
Woods have caves. We just call them "bears."
It would be nice to be engaged in a fight as concrete as getting mauled by a some paleolithic monster. It's tough to get modern whites to accept there's even a threat, let alone e to convince them to act.
I'd say our fight is against something as concrete as any other, even if some parts of it aren't as tangible as we'd like
perhaps not as... primal as we'd all prefer
Im so cereal you guys manbearpig
He only eats those who shun the keto diet.
This porkloin and brocolli sure is satisfying. Sure would hate if some carbs were to ruin it.
Keto works. Making bullet proof coffee. Oh yeah!
Keto + intermittent fasting + exercise is a foolproof way to lose weight
who got the keto/intermittent fasting diet plan
still dont really know what keto is
The one that I read was in The Bullet Proof Diet.
Keto = basically no carbs
I'm going to go eat some oatmeal and then go deadlift a quarter ton just to spite you guys ๐ค
Intermittent fasting = only eat during an 8 hour window
Just wait until you get older @Suomi Stronk ๐
Keto is when your body uses fats for its primary fuel source rather than carbs OR proteins.
There's kind of a cheat you can do with Keto and exercise. If you do high intensity training you'll burn tons of ATP. But because you don't consume carbs with Keto your body then uses fat to replenish all the lost ATP. So do like 5-10 sprints once a week and your bod will burn tons of fat the entire week.
Proteins can also spike ones insulin levels, and don't forget about gluconeogensis.
When you're body literaly *converts* other things into carbs.
man, swype not doing me justice with all these typos
@Wotan Reborn damn
does it disturb anyone else that the Democrats are now open to breaking the law and committing treason?
thats kinda genious
lol they have been for a long time
treason is progressive
unelected bureaucrats personally believing they have the moral authority to actively undermine elected officials
Does anyone here study architecture or know someone that does?
Just to be clear 16/8 isn't the only criteria for intermittent. Some people do 24 hour fasts (or longer) once a week (or more).
@Kenneth - NV Architecture expert needed
I don't exactly study it formally, but I know more than a thing or two about it
What do you guys think of these water fasts? Are they good for a detox?
I've done water fasting
PM me
Does intermittent fasting actually work, what exactly is it supposed to do
the science is somewhat shaky
Science is always "shaky" on things that can't make anyone any money
tell that to kinobody
@Wotan Reborn @Kenneth - NV @Deleted User
Okay, the question is . . .
"I am trying to calculate whether the fluting on a Corinthian Column taper relative to the entasis of the column, or if the fluting remains constant but the spacing of the flutes tighten up near the top."
A study recently came out that proved that fasting highly correlates with longevity for mice. The control group had access to food at all times where as the experimentation group of mice had access to one meal a day. The mice that had access to only one meal a day on average lived 40% longer than the mice that had access to food at all time. However it is unknown whether the effect will translate to human longevity
Hmm
Yeah, Mangan writes about that often
Fasting reduces autophagy
That's actually an interesting question
A model is being created. @Deleted User
I gathered that
@Reinhard Wolff love that guy. He's friends with your bestie N.N Taleb iirc.
