Alright gents. The topic of today is SAPI plates. I'm looking to purchase some in the near future and would like to know some good brands. Is AR500 just meme plates like I've been lead to believe?

I'm going with ceramic. I dont keep much on my kit; just an IFAK, double stack magazine pouch, MBITR pouch and hydration pack. I try and go with as little as possible. Many of my buddies have started using a load bearing belt

Only thing ill rock on the belt will be my pistol, my vest has places for additional mags so i can go heavy whenever i want. I can keep my radio close to my body as well. Personally not a fan of belts because i dont have hips

The basic point is the receiver, depending if you want one stripped or want to mill out an 80% complete one. After that all the mass produced milspec stuff should work fine

If i had tools, id mill my own. Unfortunately, id fuck that shit up bad with what i have

They chamber a 7.62x54r cartridge and they kick pretty decently, but when you get like the right feeling one, you just meld right into it. I'm a superstitious person, and I'll absolutely tell you those weapons have fucking souls. When Lyudmila, my m91/30 mosin, and I go to the range, we are like extensions of one another. When I shoot her, it's like fuckin' ballet. Sounds really gey and super stupid, but there's just something about em
