With mainstream religions, it's even more funny that you debunk them with their own material :U

2019-09-01 10:11:09 UTC

@ETBrooD What exactly have you debunked? Is your position that we SHOULD be partial?

2019-09-01 10:11:12 UTC

What does a religious person do when their personal beliefs contradict their religion? Make up things about their religion, of course!

2019-09-01 10:11:12 UTC

`` If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each personโ€™s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be savedโ€”even though only as one escaping through the flames. 16 Donโ€™t you know that you yourselves are Godโ€™s temple and that Godโ€™s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys Godโ€™s temple, God will destroy that person; for Godโ€™s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. 18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become โ€œfoolsโ€ so that you may become wise. ``

2019-09-01 10:11:27 UTC

The builder recieves the reward

2019-09-01 10:11:56 UTC

And they try to teach people compassion for others because they say that God is just a spirit

2019-09-01 10:12:01 UTC

Nah, they pick and choose things that their religion supports, and claim ignorance on the parts of that religion which opposes

2019-09-01 10:12:09 UTC

Yeah

2019-09-01 10:12:36 UTC

I wish I was making it up but that was what I was taught in school

2019-09-01 10:13:04 UTC

Nice thing about it being so horribly written. The bible is its own worst enemy.

2019-09-01 10:13:11 UTC

I was not taught the bullshit you just put in your heads allowing people from Islam to build schools and stuff on territory that is not their's

2019-09-01 10:13:40 UTC

"you"

2019-09-01 10:14:03 UTC

I did none of that, I oppose Islam

2019-09-01 10:14:37 UTC

@Lios Oh, you have to give them credit. They were all illiterate morons you know.

2019-09-01 10:14:41 UTC

i met some muslims

2019-09-01 10:14:44 UTC

That is fair...

2019-09-01 10:15:03 UTC

*Dealing With a Case of Incest*
``1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his fatherโ€™s wife. 2 And you are proud! Shouldnโ€™t you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this? 3 For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. As one who is present with you in this way, I have already passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus on the one who has been doing this. 4 So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord. 6 Your boasting is not good. Donโ€™t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? 7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batchโ€”as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed``

2019-09-01 10:15:06 UTC

They could not anticipate the internet to pick things apart and for a greater populace to become literate.

2019-09-01 10:15:28 UTC

And that is regarding incest which most islamic doctrines do not care about

2019-09-01 10:15:33 UTC

But hey, humans are fallible

2019-09-01 10:15:42 UTC

But not you, you're big brain

2019-09-01 10:15:50 UTC

lol

2019-09-01 10:16:01 UTC

It is apparently satanic to fuck your .... family members

2019-09-01 10:16:01 UTC

We're not saying we're right, we're saying you're wrong

2019-09-01 10:16:06 UTC

My brain's as shit as the rest, as least I'm willing to recognize and admit it

2019-09-01 10:16:30 UTC

Fuck I miss Socrates.

2019-09-01 10:16:56 UTC

i met this muslim family once , and they were the nicest people, they were ok with technology and ok with watching american propaganda like marvel

2019-09-01 10:17:00 UTC

Socrates didn't exist, don't you know?

2019-09-01 10:17:05 UTC

I recognise that is a law in the UK and in other European countries ... that you are put in jail for fucking a family member

2019-09-01 10:17:12 UTC

He was made up by marble bust companies to sell more busts

2019-09-01 10:17:32 UTC

Whether Socrates actually existed or not doesn't actually matter

2019-09-01 10:17:38 UTC

Because we don't worship him

2019-09-01 10:17:44 UTC

We just read his literature

2019-09-01 10:17:52 UTC

Are you pushing the "Jesus didn't exist" thing as a counter to me when I already conceded that Jesus probably did exist?

2019-09-01 10:18:01 UTC

and no kidding they had a pet like this

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/613769782461857813/617664443463237643/rottweiler_large.png

2019-09-01 10:18:02 UTC

Socraties realised that people needed some form of belief structure.

2019-09-01 10:18:10 UTC

so I dont know what to believe anymore

2019-09-01 10:18:22 UTC

Oh, but when you have an ideological enemy that has a supernatural ultimatum, you just deny he ever lived.

2019-09-01 10:18:46 UTC

I deny that he lived because it puts Christians under pressure to prove that he did exist

2019-09-01 10:18:58 UTC

That would be foolish. Never assume the negative, work on the evidence.

2019-09-01 10:19:00 UTC

Which rattles them, because they worship HIM

2019-09-01 10:19:05 UTC

Not just his teachings

2019-09-01 10:19:18 UTC

are you saying jesus is satan HIMself?

2019-09-01 10:19:27 UTC

No

2019-09-01 10:19:29 UTC

I mean shit, he might have been. Lucifer was a cool dude.

2019-09-01 10:19:56 UTC

And as an angel, he _is_ the son of God.

2019-09-01 10:20:00 UTC

good because that wouldn't be kosher

2019-09-01 10:20:13 UTC

1 Corinthians chapter 8
**Concerning Food Sacrificed to Idols**
``1 Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that โ€œWe all possess knowledge.โ€ But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. 2 Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. 3 But whoever loves God is known by God. 4 So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that โ€œAn idol is nothing at all in the worldโ€ and that โ€œThere is no God but one.โ€ 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many โ€œgodsโ€ and many โ€œlordsโ€), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. 7 But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.``

2019-09-01 10:20:24 UTC

I am pagan so I believe in many gods

2019-09-01 10:20:26 UTC

It's not like the Bible has his entire lineage from the beginning of time or anything.

2019-09-01 10:20:38 UTC

I do not get punished for believing in many gods in my country

2019-09-01 10:20:39 UTC

All 6000 years?

2019-09-01 10:20:58 UTC

Even if that's just the beginning of recorded history, that's a hell of a lot to disprove.

2019-09-01 10:21:11 UTC

Recorded history goes beyond 6000 years.

2019-09-01 10:21:12 UTC

I am all for the different forms. I just think that Christanity evolved and it was able to accept paganism

2019-09-01 10:21:18 UTC

It was just way fucking harder to read

2019-09-01 10:22:14 UTC

I think this is the reason why many times over they tried to tell people to give up but they are clear with it and would enforce some kind of non- islamic doctrination like they have done in Austria.

2019-09-01 10:22:41 UTC

I make a comment about racial and ethnic claims leading to infighting and injustice, and he comes at me with every possible offhand reference to justice and jurisprudence, and that somehow means that injustice never existed?

2019-09-01 10:22:47 UTC

I don't consider Christianity to be a threat nowadays. They've been pacified by the shutdowns and debunking, and unlike Islam weren't willing to behead everyone and start constant wars over who was right.

2019-09-01 10:23:04 UTC

It's like trying to list all the legal subdivisions of homicide to disprove the existence of murder.

2019-09-01 10:23:14 UTC

That's not debunking.

2019-09-01 10:23:18 UTC

thats why they should release the kraken

2019-09-01 10:23:28 UTC

i mean the Old old testament

2019-09-01 10:23:37 UTC

or the new new testmanet

2019-09-01 10:23:39 UTC

I think that Christianity needs to be more of a threat because most of you do not get that they form the laws in European countries. You are indoctrinated from birth in most countries

2019-09-01 10:24:52 UTC

Christian ethic teaches that stealing is unconditionally wrong. Islam teaches that stealing from your enemy is okay, so you should make enemies. In the Old Testament, when there is a tribe that needs to be wiped out for a very particular reason, God forbids looting and punishes people who loot.

2019-09-01 10:24:59 UTC

@juts kill nme What is your preference?

2019-09-01 10:25:07 UTC

I think they've begun to fear their influence in the modern era, though. Being a very income-focused organization ever since the Romans started shit, they cower when any bad thing said means less income, and less followers.

2019-09-01 10:25:07 UTC

I was taught that stealing is wrong by people, not by Christianity

2019-09-01 10:25:22 UTC

And who taught the people?

2019-09-01 10:25:27 UTC

People did

2019-09-01 10:25:34 UTC

Reading what?

2019-09-01 10:25:45 UTC

Something written by a person, from some person's ideas

2019-09-01 10:25:55 UTC

We know what you wanna say

2019-09-01 10:25:56 UTC
2019-09-01 10:26:09 UTC

Not stealing is not merely an oral tradition governed by superstition and bad luck. It's a moral imperative.

2019-09-01 10:26:24 UTC

These are human things, not holy things.

2019-09-01 10:26:29 UTC

Again refering back to 1 Corinthians chapter 10

** Warnings From Israelโ€™s History **

``1 For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. 2 They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3 They all ate the same spiritual food 4 and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. 6 Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: โ€œThe people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.โ€ 8 We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them didโ€”and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 9 We should not test Christ, as some of them didโ€”and were killed by snakes. 10 And do not grumble, as some of them didโ€”and were killed by the destroying angel. ``

2019-09-01 10:26:56 UTC

Pack animals also know not to steal. No god taught them this through a great revelation.

2019-09-01 10:26:59 UTC

Not stealing is people realizing that society works better if they don't steal

2019-09-01 10:27:01 UTC

It's not a moral imperative, it's a utilitarian one

2019-09-01 10:27:05 UTC

They already knew in the bible that there was war and there were problems with religious fractions.

2019-09-01 10:27:18 UTC

Christians steal as much as atheists do

2019-09-01 10:27:47 UTC

@Lios That's horseshit, or goatshit to be more precise. Goats have no concept of boundaries, they will eat anything.

2019-09-01 10:27:48 UTC

It's just instinctual. The gold standard is pretty much the only natural dogma we can apply.

2019-09-01 10:27:50 UTC

what ever dude ... it is in the bible

2019-09-01 10:27:54 UTC

They knew slaying and slaughtering of animals----- halal or kosha was wrong

2019-09-01 10:27:57 UTC

Goats are not pack animals, they are herd animals.

2019-09-01 10:28:39 UTC

Wolves know damn well when they steal, and often try to hide the evidence. Showing they know instinctually that it is wrong.

2019-09-01 10:28:45 UTC

Pack animals, carnivores if you want to be precise, have instinctive knowledge of territory and personal belonging, they will growl at you if you try and approach their food. They know what stealing is and guard against it.

2019-09-01 10:29:09 UTC

They also steal. Nature is fallible.

2019-09-01 10:29:11 UTC

This is all structural things that will come back into society again if people read and start to discuss.

2019-09-01 10:30:11 UTC

I don't trust religious people with morality, because they don't justify their morals with reason, but with "muh book"

2019-09-01 10:30:37 UTC

So you'd rather your morality come from people who say that all white people are racist?

2019-09-01 10:30:44 UTC

Because that's what we're getting.

2019-09-01 10:30:48 UTC

Strawman

2019-09-01 10:31:08 UTC

Do they have a rational basis for this reasoning to make it as a moral argument?

2019-09-01 10:31:09 UTC

It is a material example of the alternative.

2019-09-01 10:31:10 UTC

"If you don't like my bad way, you want another bad way instead"

2019-09-01 10:31:10 UTC

No it is not.
