2019-09-25 23:14:34 UTC

They are a mouvment not a party.

2019-09-25 23:17:08 UTC

They want Manitoba Saskatchewan and Alberta to leave the confederation and become a federation

2019-09-25 23:19:45 UTC

What does Canada need us for we arenโ€™t the agricultural and natural resource hub. The east already has been buying Middle eastern blood oil

2019-09-25 23:20:58 UTC

Yeah, I don't know why we can't use our own oil. It's really dumb, and Trudeau's imposed carbon tax doesn't help.

2019-09-25 23:24:36 UTC

And after the oil crash western Canadians suffered while when the automotive industry had a smaller crash and the federal was all over it

2019-09-25 23:26:15 UTC

I take it kinda personally cause my family went from stable to now there are times where we have to wait a week with an empty fridge till we can go to a grocer

2019-09-25 23:27:07 UTC

So when I heard the the federal was doing its best to help one group while one still suffers

2019-09-25 23:27:17 UTC

Really annoyed me

2019-09-25 23:28:35 UTC

You either help all Canadian economic victims or none

2019-09-25 23:33:02 UTC

I can see where you're coming from. I thought it was odd for the government to do the bailout, because businesses rise and fall all the time, it's part of the open market. You don't see them bailing out some random small business.

2019-09-25 23:36:02 UTC

That really sucks about the oil crash, though. I hope things got better, now.

2019-09-25 23:40:27 UTC

Weโ€™re almost back on our feet. But the itโ€™s hard see as a kid financial struggle when they canโ€™t help and donโ€™t understand.

2019-09-25 23:58:59 UTC

Sorry for bringing that up I just wanted known where my prospective was developed.

2019-09-25 23:59:07 UTC

Every province between the Rockies and the Red River should join the US, or failing that, form their own country.

2019-09-25 23:59:35 UTC

I want guns but Iโ€™d rather be separate from the us

2019-09-26 00:01:17 UTC

Main issue is a currency. If they join the US that's taken care of. If they're independent they have to launch their own. Not impossible, but trade and investment will be extremely volatile for years.

2019-09-26 00:02:23 UTC

Also access to ports will be covered if they join the US. If they're independent they can be isolated. Can't export their oil.

2019-09-26 00:03:06 UTC

I think if Berta to Manitoba leaves nwt Yukon might wanna come with

2019-09-26 00:31:44 UTC

2019-09-26 01:38:20 UTC

Thanks @randomNPCno3 May it be good for the entire country

2019-09-26 01:39:46 UTC

The only reason Nunavut is that red is because they were prolly promised lots of funding

2019-09-26 01:41:59 UTC

And why do our territories have colour I seriously doubt Alberta but angrier and Yukon are populated enough to even be eggshell

2019-09-26 01:42:35 UTC

No offence greater bear lake are towns you matter just no one knows you exist but us

2019-09-26 01:45:09 UTC

Hey, Alaskans know too, and the border States. We're not all ignorant. Except angrier, never heard of it but I'm glad Canadian naming sense is what it is

2019-09-26 01:45:51 UTC

How did Canada choose it's name?

2019-09-26 01:46:03 UTC

They pulled three letters out of a hat

2019-09-26 01:49:10 UTC

Itโ€™s in the dialect

2019-09-26 01:49:26 UTC

C eh n eh d eh

2019-09-26 01:49:57 UTC

Actually though it was the freanch explorer that โ€œfoundโ€ it

2019-09-26 01:50:03 UTC

2019-09-26 01:50:08 UTC

2019-09-26 01:50:19 UTC

2019-09-26 01:50:26 UTC

2019-09-26 01:50:39 UTC

Do you not see my fingers when I โ€œโ€

2019-09-26 01:51:06 UTC

Those are tiny fingers, I overlooked them

2019-09-26 01:51:23 UTC

Itโ€™s how we adapted to the cold

2019-09-26 01:51:50 UTC

Jordan Peterson has massive fingers for a northern Albertan

2019-09-26 01:52:54 UTC

The colours in our flag were from the founding countries red for Britain and white for baguette

2019-09-26 01:53:08 UTC

I thought you adapted with alcohol

2019-09-26 01:54:14 UTC

We started with that

2019-09-26 01:55:10 UTC

Blame the celts

2019-09-26 01:55:34 UTC

Question, how popular are the arrogant worms up there? Because they're popular as fuck in Washington

2019-09-26 01:55:45 UTC

Same with BNL

2019-09-26 01:56:35 UTC

Only in Alberta and Saskatchewan. BNL is popular all over Canada

2019-09-26 01:57:09 UTC

I donโ€™t doubt Washington uses it for educational purposes

2019-09-26 01:57:15 UTC

Really? Have they been lynched for any of their songs yet?

2019-09-26 01:57:31 UTC

Kicked out of Quebec

2019-09-26 01:57:49 UTC

Seriously? Did they name which song?

2019-09-26 01:58:02 UTC

The band name

2019-09-26 01:58:16 UTC

How is the band name bad?

2019-09-26 01:58:55 UTC

Quebec had modesty laws. Like no strip clubs kinda thing

2019-09-26 01:59:14 UTC

Isn't Montreal in Quebec?

2019-09-26 01:59:19 UTC

Iโ€™m mean bnl

2019-09-26 01:59:32 UTC

Ah, I was asking about the worms

2019-09-26 01:59:39 UTC

Not arrogantworms

2019-09-26 01:59:55 UTC

Nothing wrong with them

2019-09-26 02:00:09 UTC

I'm surprised, they get pretty un PC with some of their songs

2019-09-26 02:01:09 UTC

We are not tyrants we let nickel back

2019-09-26 02:01:13 UTC

2019-09-26 02:01:45 UTC

2019-09-26 02:02:39 UTC

BNL hasn't been nearly as good since they kicked out the guy writing all their hits for having some weed

2019-09-26 02:03:21 UTC

They already took a hit when the brothers left

2019-09-26 02:03:43 UTC

Iโ€™m not anti weed but Iโ€™m anti trash and bieber always been trash and drake was trash after he stopped acting

2019-09-26 02:04:11 UTC

He was trash when he was acting too, I saw Degrassi

2019-09-26 02:04:33 UTC

2019-09-26 02:09:33 UTC

Amazing

2019-09-26 02:11:38 UTC

Why does google say Ted Cruz is from Calgary

2019-09-26 02:12:04 UTC

There's a Calgary TX

2019-09-26 02:12:17 UTC

Oh

2019-09-26 02:12:31 UTC

Thereโ€™s also a Canadian Texas

2019-09-26 02:12:44 UTC

There's also a Springfield in every state

2019-09-26 02:12:51 UTC

Oh

2019-09-26 02:13:20 UTC

Pretty sure thereโ€™s a Haysboro in every city in Alberta

2019-09-26 03:06:38 UTC

2019-09-27 08:00:52 UTC

I didn't even know Rubin was coming. And to speak with Bernier, no less.

2019-09-27 14:00:49 UTC

You should sign up to the PPC newsletter then

2019-09-27 14:01:04 UTC

its at Mohawk College in Hamilton if you're interested.

2019-09-27 14:08:29 UTC

Thanks

2019-09-27 21:28:32 UTC

For any of you that want to see what might happen in our election

2019-09-28 00:32:22 UTC

I know itโ€™s wrong

2019-09-28 00:33:46 UTC

Who tf is voting bq

2019-09-28 00:35:35 UTC

Itโ€™s literally the stupidest thing I have heard of. Letโ€™s make a party that focuses on one province. Do they have a problem the the government focuses on Ontario aswell

2019-09-28 06:11:01 UTC

I don't trust the CBC to give unbiased information.

2019-09-28 06:13:54 UTC

They're far left media, of course they'd want to prop up the Liberals.

2019-09-28 06:43:02 UTC

PPC all the way

2019-09-28 10:10:50 UTC

I mean I hate the BQ but, there is nothing inherently wrong with regionalist parties @RAM II

2019-09-28 10:11:23 UTC

We don't elect a Prime Minister, we vote for 338 different MPs

2019-09-28 10:14:11 UTC

And the task of those MPs is representing their constituents, not governing the whole country.

2019-09-28 13:09:19 UTC

Does canada even have a news service anymore, because they all seem to have turned into propaganda outlets.

2019-09-28 13:29:43 UTC

The thing I find most peculiar, is that the polling graphs show that the LIBS now have an advantage vs the CONs right after the blackface incident, like "nani the fuck" ??

2019-09-28 13:33:48 UTC

maybe the trudeau is right canada is a racist country with a rascist leader and the only way to stop being racist is to vote for the only candidate that participated in racism to stop racism.
Also scheer NEVER Apologized. PICS or dIDNT HAPPEN!
and Bernier is mean!

2019-09-28 13:35:41 UTC

2019-09-28 13:35:57 UTC

2019-09-28 17:01:30 UTC

@Settler's Lament yeah i didnโ€™t pay attention in social studies

2019-09-28 17:03:32 UTC

I think the even weirder thing is the Yukon, NWT, and Nunavut are lib. They arenโ€™t but theyโ€™re represented as such

2019-09-28 17:04:46 UTC

I used to live near greater bear lake and if itโ€™s not good for the working people they donโ€™t want to hear about it

2019-09-28 19:22:13 UTC

I really think the Libs are going to win again.

2019-09-28 20:10:55 UTC

@Wercal3 Yeah, that's what the polls say at least. I really don't see much difference between the Liberals and Conservatives on the important issues. I hope its a minority government on either side and the PPC gets at least 5% and the vote and they retain Maxime Bernier's seat.

2019-09-28 22:51:42 UTC

Thatโ€™s all the ppc are gonna get if the even get in. All they can do is put The libs into a minority

2019-09-28 23:00:13 UTC

@Settler's Lament no offence to you video just a suggestion. Blankets on the walls is a good sound proofing technique. It just sounds like itโ€™s 4 am and youโ€™re not supposed to be playing call of duty cause itโ€™s a school night

2019-09-28 23:03:09 UTC

2019-09-29 06:26:48 UTC

>what is it to be canadian

2019-09-29 06:28:20 UTC

It is my personal belief that the only thing that makes someone who only knows canada and has no ties to any other culture 'canadian'

2019-09-29 06:28:21 UTC

is shame

2019-09-29 06:28:26 UTC

plain and simple

2019-09-29 06:30:25 UTC

that is what is taught in our schools, be ashamed of our past, deconstruct what is left of the old

2019-09-29 06:30:54 UTC

nothing that canada has done in the past will ever make up for our transgressions in the eyes of our people

2019-09-29 06:31:15 UTC

therefore it can never and will never be our shared history that bonds us

2019-09-29 06:31:22 UTC

but a shared sense of shame

2019-09-29 11:16:12 UTC

Although the schools do teach us to be ashamed of our past now that was not always the case

2019-09-29 11:17:00 UTC

I remember back when I was in school we learned about how the British brought civilization and modernity to the savage Indians

2019-09-29 11:26:02 UTC

How old are you lol

2019-09-29 15:30:40 UTC

I'm in my 30s

2019-09-29 15:40:21 UTC

@Some Fucking Leaf well it will be like that for the time being, I don't believe any nation can survive constantly at war with itself. I don't think I'll have much of a stake in what comes after either though.

2019-09-29 15:41:05 UTC

@Thejross Wow, that sounds pretty based for what the 90s? Did you live in a more conservative area?

2019-09-29 15:41:50 UTC

Ontario

2019-09-29 17:32:28 UTC

In Alberta we learned a lot about Canada bad, but I think that when you learn history looking at the bad can be good. How are we supposed to learn how to make good and just decisions. We should know when we did wrong. We should try and teach the glory and honour of our nation, but for schools should have the those who donโ€™t learn from the past are bound to repeat it.

2019-09-29 17:34:33 UTC

We have heroโ€™s that are unknown to our people like major Leo, and that saddens me greatly but history doesnโ€™t get learnt in 14 years, the world is too vast for all the history to be known in such a short amount of time

2019-09-29 17:35:42 UTC

What I donโ€™t like seeing is the liberal party or the conservative parties stamps in text books

2019-09-29 21:30:06 UTC

The schools that I was in used to teach very objectively, minimal narrative spinning if any

2019-09-29 21:30:46 UTC

Also back in the 90's

2019-09-29 21:31:29 UTC

Political conversations were about as open-minded as they could get, no one was shut down or shamed (I think)

2019-09-29 21:31:41 UTC

But that was in Austria

2019-09-29 22:22:01 UTC

We did learn plenty of positive things about Canada in a sense, just none of it was history. All of the positive things, and I mean all as in like 99%, were firmly in the progressive mold and posed in opposition to Americans 'free healthcare and peacekeeping.' The history was all negative, residential schools, Chinese immigrants, persons case and a million different things about racism.

2019-09-29 22:22:28 UTC

Plus, I was very often the only white kid in a class where we learnt all about all the awful things white people did.

2019-09-29 22:26:15 UTC

Overtly political division was actually a bit less then America though, I grew up hearing about how G.W. Bush was Hitler and all the awful stuff white people have done but, I never really heard much fear mongering about the Conservative Party in particular.

2019-09-29 23:20:18 UTC

Bush = Hitler? Wow, Hitler must've forgotten a lot of his lines

2019-09-30 00:00:26 UTC

Bush's image has been almost totally rehabilitated already

2019-09-30 01:25:04 UTC

2019-10-01 01:00:46 UTC

^

2019-10-01 01:51:02 UTC

Is it bad that I, a Canadian citizen, obsess over US politics, but couldn't give less of a fuck about the politics of my own nation where I actually have a vote I can use?

2019-10-01 01:51:19 UTC

The answer is yes; yes, it is.

2019-10-01 01:53:41 UTC

I just don't want to double my despair. Politics are miserable, and Canada's doing well enough, I guess. Still, I really should pay a little more attention; I'm kind of a hypocrite if I don't use my vote.

2019-10-01 02:48:56 UTC

Well beside the fact trudeau wants to you d.i.e.
he wants everything to d.i.e.

2019-10-01 02:49:28 UTC

Diveristy inclusion equity (you have to this in hiring and getting government grants now)

2019-10-01 03:08:52 UTC

The Trudeauโ€™s diversity is Canadas strength, letโ€™s force people to eat dairy and grain at unhealthy levels because it lines my pockets. Gude ol John A: CANADA CANADA CANADA Quebec isnโ€™t really Canada CANADA CANADA

2019-10-01 03:16:06 UTC

@Hylia, there is nothing inherently wrong with not voting. Checking out of the electoral system is a valid strategy in some circumstances. A few months ago I was intending on not voting at all (or maybe spoiling my ballot). But, as it stands now I will be voting for the PPC because they are the only party that cares at all about free speech and immigration.

2019-10-01 03:47:15 UTC

It would be cool if our politics were calm and collected like they sounded before all this

2019-10-01 04:27:26 UTC

@RAM II Meh I think that is mythology, I doubt politics was every really particularly 'calm.' At least not democratic politics, that just isn't in the intensives. In the 1800s we had revolutions and civil wars, the first first half of the 1900s we had world wars, in the second half we had assassinations and domestic terrorism. By 'we' I of course mean the west as a whole, not specifically Canada. But, even Canadian politics weren't incredibly civil the smears between J.A. Macdonald and Wilfrid Laurier were particularly notoriously bad.

2019-10-01 14:33:48 UTC

Oh my goodness I had no idea that our prime minister was a light skinned Cuban

2019-10-01 19:11:51 UTC

Does anyone know what channel the debates will be on for Oct 7?

2019-10-01 22:36:54 UTC

My problem with the blackface:
I really dont care about his tendency become a black person. However, how can any other world leader take this mf-er serious?
Progressives, how can you have trudeau 'hold trump accountable' when trump will laugh trudeau's black ass out of the whitehouse?
Trudeau: TRUMP you're a RACIST!
Trump: whatever you say Mr. blackface

How can you seriously think trudeau can be your pope of progressivism when all his opponents will laugh at his black ass?

2019-10-01 22:39:29 UTC

Pretty sure the military would side with their civilians. So more of a take over

2019-10-01 23:47:40 UTC

2019-10-02 03:41:26 UTC

Any truth to these things? Thought I'd ask here, idk much about what's going on in canada

2019-10-02 04:02:24 UTC

Had no idea cpcml was a thing

2019-10-02 04:05:20 UTC

Sounds like there's some truth in it, but I doubt this is the whole truth

2019-10-02 04:07:08 UTC

I mean 150.000 kids, that's a lot. If that number is true it should be possible to have historical documents available. Buf it those don't exist then imo we should err on the side of disbelief, as harsh as that may be.

2019-10-02 04:08:20 UTC

Basically I think this is exaggerated

2019-10-02 04:19:38 UTC

We get a red problem the commies are too comfy handing out propaganda flyers

2019-10-02 04:32:43 UTC

@9th Error The basic facts in that video are all pretty much true, there are a bunch of small things I could nit-pick but, that's true for basically any pop history so that's a bit besides the point. The big narratives are more important. The insinuation that the social problems that natives have is all thanks to residential schools (or whity more broadly) is ridiculous. Sex segregation was near universal in boarding schools in this period so you could argue its bad but, it was hardly a thing specific to natives.

2019-10-02 04:34:08 UTC

@9th Error I haven't personally looked into the stuff to do with abuse enough to really get a handle on it and that type of stuff is very difficult to quantify.

2019-10-02 04:40:02 UTC

@9th Error The death rate is a bit more interesting since its much easier to quantify (since you know, you have a body). We do see that they had significantly higher death rates then the Canadian average for a similar age range (stats from that period are poor though, and note similar age range, not identical). The image bellow is from the Truth and Reconciliation Report and I do notice one interesting thing. The death rate for the first few decades of the schools for natives was similar and sometimes lower then the ruff Canadian average. What's interesting about that is that period was when the people running the schools were most explicitly racist and wanted to destroy native culture, yet its the period with the lowest average death rate.

2019-10-02 04:46:46 UTC

Also, I can't remember if it said it in that video but, most natives did not attend residential schools during this period, it was about 30% iirc. Residential schools were never mandatory, schooling was mandatory and many natives didn't have other schools if they lived on reserves.

2019-10-02 04:56:29 UTC

@Settler's Lament oh okay, thanks, canadian friend sent me that vid saying the schools are showing it all over but wasnt sure what to make of it, did seem a bit hard to believe and the friend was ranting about how the country was covering it up but the government doesnt care and "orange shirt day"

2019-10-02 04:57:16 UTC

anyone that lives in canada seen anything else like that or conspiracy stuff my friends on about?

2019-10-02 04:58:40 UTC

He thinks the government is trying to cover up the residential school system? @9th Error

2019-10-02 04:59:01 UTC

The government right now?

2019-10-02 04:59:38 UTC

kinda, more like canda is trying to cover up natives being forced to drink "cancer water" and lots of other stuff, and yes right now

2019-10-02 05:00:04 UTC

but said the government doesnt care, just "Canada" covering it up

2019-10-02 05:01:22 UTC

idk what they were o about but as i dont live there i dont wanna pick any sides without opinions from other people and what else i can find in news etc.

2019-10-02 05:01:53 UTC

eh it isnt even picking sides tbh its just weird

2019-10-02 05:02:38 UTC

oddly tho i dont find it hard to believe cnada would have a problem like murdering natives and not giving them clean water and then covering it up, its clown world after all and canda is the most progressive, lol

2019-10-02 05:05:51 UTC

He just sounds like a delusional conspiracy nut progressive imo. I've learnt about the residential school system since I was in elementary school, granted that is a recent phenomenon (I'm in my early-to-mid twenties, someone 5-10 years older then me probably would have never heard about it in school). But, the government, and the mainstream media promotes native grievance politics constantly. That video was from the state funding broadcaster, hardly a coverup.

2019-10-02 05:09:07 UTC

And Indian reserves are autonomous, self-governing entities. Building their local infrastructure isn't the government's job. The government gives them money and they can do what they want with it, some of them are extremely corrupt and because of the autonomy they have the federal government can't do very much about it.

2019-10-02 05:10:27 UTC

yeh, he seemed perfectly normal till he said that, never thought him 1 for conspiracies, and didnt know that was a state PBC, thanks for the info tho, idk shit about canada or native reserves

2019-10-02 05:11:37 UTC

Yeah they get over half their money from the government, CBC, Canadian version of the BBC.

2019-10-02 05:16:37 UTC

And I'm assuming by 'murdering natives' you are referring to the 'missing and murdered indigenous women.' If so that is the most blatantly false of all of those, at least in the way it is portrayed. Granted it was about four years ago I read about this topic but, assuming the info is the same people sized on it because of the supposedly high number murdered and totally unaccounted for native women. And they portrayed this also some sort of racist conspiracy against natives by whity. It is of course true that native women are disproportionately murdered compared to the Canadian average but, that's just a result of the fact that natives have a higher then average crime rate in Canada, and of course most of the people killing those women are native men.

2019-10-02 05:17:54 UTC

And the 'missing' part is supposed to imply that the racist Canadian police just don't care about dead native women so they don't even properly investigate the case. But, the solve rate was identical for both murders of native women and Canadian women in general, 90%.

2019-10-02 05:20:43 UTC

okay then, interesting, thanks again, ima try to get some sleep but might bother u some more tomorrow, lol, ill see what else i can find tho, thanks for your help

2019-10-02 05:22:03 UTC

Okay, no problem. I have a (very small) youtube channel if you are interested in checking it out, I make stuff about history and politics, only one video so far but, I'm not planing on sticking with only Canadian stuff. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJMaXRtyWZzdr34aPLsQ2bA

Is it illegal to burn Paper?

2019-10-03 12:56:53 UTC

No. I've had a power outage this morning and that would been a better use of paper.

2019-10-03 15:04:23 UTC

In My part of Canada as long as thereโ€™s no fire ban you can burn what ever you want. As long as what you want to burn is already legal

2019-10-03 16:42:55 UTC

2019-10-03 17:35:09 UTC

I donโ€™t think Iโ€™d have personally burn currency but if a make it to that point Iโ€™ll let you know
