ok

2017-09-27 23:54:24 UTC

The trick to the whole process in understanding how gluten forms and behaves. If you do a little research on that specific point, it wil give much better insight into what's really going on, and as a result, more control over the end result.

2017-09-27 23:54:31 UTC

mhm

2017-09-27 23:54:34 UTC

duly noted

2017-09-27 23:54:38 UTC

thanks for the info

2017-09-29 04:18:30 UTC

What would you guys reccommend I grow first to learn the basics of gardening? My parents grow a few vegetables, but I wanted to start a small garden in my home (preferablly a small indoor one).

2017-09-29 04:19:54 UTC

Depending your climate, tomatos generally are pretty forgiving.

2017-09-29 04:20:58 UTC

I have a pretty good sized garden, melons, tomato, cucumber, beets, carrots, peppers, etc... Most of it isn't very tempermental. The melons are especially "aggressive" growers.

2017-09-29 04:21:33 UTC

How are the carrots growing? I would be interested in growing those

2017-09-29 04:21:34 UTC

Some of the peppers I've not had luck with. And birds can be an issue.

2017-09-29 04:21:54 UTC

They taste great, but don't look anything like what you see in the store.

2017-09-29 04:22:22 UTC

Much more imperfect. I think it's cool myself.

2017-09-29 04:22:47 UTC

A little variety seemse like it would be nice

2017-09-29 04:23:39 UTC

@Polak It really depends on your growing zone and annual rain amount.

2017-09-29 04:23:51 UTC

I have 8 chickens too, they are suprisingly easy to care for and they function as pest control and a garbage disposal.

2017-09-29 04:24:32 UTC

Indeed, highly climate dependant. I happen to live in a good area for it.

2017-09-29 04:25:21 UTC

We get ~50in of rain here. I have a decently sized yard, but currently renting. So i would need to do it inside or build something in the backyard

2017-09-29 04:26:01 UTC

A greenhouse is actually fairly simple to construct.

2017-09-29 04:26:11 UTC

Not much to it at all.

2017-09-29 04:26:13 UTC

@Polak I live in Wisconsin. This means that some vegtables like watermelon and sweet potatoes are off the table.

2017-09-29 04:26:53 UTC

Sometimes mine get so much water they burst.

2017-09-29 04:27:35 UTC

They are so prolific though, it hardly matters.

2017-09-29 04:27:37 UTC

@Rin if you don't care about it lasting more than a few years you can make a greenhouse from $50 worth of pvc and painter's plastic.

2017-09-29 04:27:56 UTC

Yeah, I've seen small ones made with PVC.

2017-09-29 04:28:21 UTC

I'll look into making one, will only be here for two years so dont mind it if doesnt last much longer than that

2017-09-29 04:28:41 UTC

That corrugated fiberglass stuff is not really expensive anyway.

2017-09-29 04:28:52 UTC

I like the pvc ones because they are super easy to move and cheap to make.

2017-09-29 04:29:01 UTC

Yeah.

2017-09-29 04:29:48 UTC

I had one with really thick plastic over a plastic tube frame, I got it for starters until they were big enough to plant.

2017-09-29 04:30:07 UTC

Was maybe 6' tall and 5' wide.

2017-09-29 04:30:21 UTC

It lasted until the first good storm.

2017-09-29 04:30:47 UTC

I weighted it down with bricks, but then the wind just shredded it.

2017-09-29 04:31:00 UTC

if you're willing to buy 8 or 9mm plastic it should last a few years.

2017-09-29 04:31:18 UTC

But this was a small shitty one, you could build something way better.

2017-09-29 04:31:25 UTC

With real PVC.

2017-09-29 04:31:53 UTC

And something more substantial for the walls.

2017-09-29 04:32:31 UTC

No duh. The real problem is that the larger diameter pvc doesn't bend well. I suppose you could use pex tubing instead.

2017-09-29 04:33:34 UTC

If you used the thicker walled PVC it would probably be fine here, the plastic that one was made of was junk.

2017-09-29 04:34:07 UTC

any idea what thickness it was? I'd guess 3 or 4mm.

2017-09-29 04:34:28 UTC

It's the walls that are tricky because most materials strong enough to withstand a good storm don't let enough light through.

2017-09-29 04:35:12 UTC

Other than glass and acrylic of course, but that's kind of expensive.

2017-09-29 04:35:23 UTC

Light shouldn't be a problem if it doesn't have to compete with shade.

2017-09-29 04:36:17 UTC

This stuff was maybe a 6 mil plastic clear sheeting.

2017-09-29 04:36:39 UTC

I was hopeful but it just didn't hold up.

2017-09-29 04:37:28 UTC

How was the plastic attached?

2017-09-29 04:37:36 UTC

the frame was mostly okay though, even being made of that shit plastic tubing.

2017-09-29 04:38:29 UTC

I'm talking about the plastic sheeting.

2017-09-29 04:38:34 UTC

So the frame built just like PVC would, and then the walls were essentailly a huge clear bag with a zipper around the front.

2017-09-29 04:38:46 UTC

Wrapper? I dunno.

2017-09-29 04:39:09 UTC

Hard to describe, like a skinn I guess.

2017-09-29 04:39:34 UTC

was it a solid piece that was glued on? I'd use zip ties attached to each support post.

2017-09-29 04:39:42 UTC

So you end up with basically a large clear box.

2017-09-29 04:40:33 UTC

No, it was flexible plastic that the PVC "skeleton" gave structure to from the inside.

2017-09-29 04:41:00 UTC

Let me see if I can find one, this was years ago and have since built something more sound.

2017-09-29 04:42:38 UTC

Something similar in concept to this.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/359496856113381387/363183772201385984/Outdoor-portable-small-greenhouse.jpg

2017-09-29 04:42:57 UTC

It's hard to describe without having pictures. It would be a pvc skeleton linked together with tees and pipe to make the frame work with zip ties through grommets in the plastic to secure the skeleton.

2017-09-29 04:43:14 UTC

With thicker plastic and a zipper running around the whole front side.

2017-09-29 04:44:31 UTC

Of course that would tear. It's like a giant sail that would catch the wind. It needs to have a bit of give to prevent it tearing.

2017-09-29 04:44:43 UTC

Yeah, I kow exactly what you are talking about, I think it would be fine as long as the grommets were installed properly and the sheeting was thick enough.

2017-09-29 04:44:59 UTC

Oh, it gave..

2017-09-29 04:45:29 UTC

Storms get pretty bad here though with respect to winds.

2017-09-29 04:45:57 UTC

I work in a hardware store that sells 8mm plastic. But for some reason I can't find it listed online.

2017-09-29 04:46:52 UTC

The problem with grommets is that they create "tear points" if they aren't crimped well enough.

2017-09-29 04:48:26 UTC

yeah, you could try to attach the grommets to another piece of plastic and then glue that on to the sheeting.

2017-09-29 04:49:05 UTC

That would probably work better. You would need a hell of a glue.

2017-09-29 04:49:14 UTC

Some of that industrial 3M shit.

2017-09-29 04:49:29 UTC

i'd lean towards a clear caulk.

2017-09-29 04:50:07 UTC

I don't think it would stick well enough. Polyurethane caulk maybe.

2017-09-29 04:50:12 UTC

Or liquid nails.

2017-09-29 04:50:20 UTC

The plastic is smooth.

2017-09-29 04:51:59 UTC

On second thought, canvass could be better glued onto the plastic without having to deal with the surface smoothness.

2017-09-29 04:53:51 UTC

Well, it would still be smooth on the plastic side.

2017-09-29 04:54:26 UTC

I wonder if it would be better to do it all in canvas and put clear plastic windows in it.

2017-09-29 04:54:43 UTC

Would allow for venting to reduce wind strain.

2017-09-29 04:55:31 UTC

you would glue the canvass first then let it start to dry (30%), then place the plastic and canvass in a vice.

2017-09-29 04:56:56 UTC

I ended up just using this on a wood frame.

2017-09-29 04:58:11 UTC

A full canvass structure wouldn't work. You need the light at all periods of the day otherwise most of the plants in the greenhouse won't get enough light to produce fruit.

2017-09-29 04:58:49 UTC

Yeah, just make window panels. It would be fine.

2017-09-29 04:58:59 UTC

Not as good as an all clear structure obviously.

2017-09-29 04:59:58 UTC

I think in general it's better to use solid materials if you have the option.

2017-09-29 05:00:06 UTC

You could probably get away with windows if you only used shade tolerant plants. You'd want plants that only need 3 or 4 hours of sunlight.

2017-09-29 05:01:04 UTC

If I made one here with windows in the sides and roof, it would get much more than 4 hours a day.

2017-09-29 05:01:54 UTC

So, a clear roof with windows every few feet?

2017-09-29 05:02:59 UTC

Maybe, I'm not sure. That sounds about right.

2017-09-29 05:03:06 UTC

MAybe every foot.

2017-09-29 05:03:17 UTC

The sides would still have to be mostly plastic.

2017-09-29 05:04:04 UTC

Yeah, probably not a great idea. Too much work. Just build it with solid shit..kek

2017-09-29 05:04:12 UTC

Oh shit, What if we used chicken wire attached the frame with plastic over that?

2017-09-29 05:05:05 UTC

That would definitely give it some strength. You could even make a few vent slits for wind resitance that way.

2017-09-29 05:05:42 UTC

Yeah, I can't believe that I didn't think of it sooner.

2017-09-29 05:05:46 UTC

How big are you trying to go here?

2017-09-29 05:06:22 UTC

Actually now that you mention it, I know someone who has one with chain link inner walls.

2017-09-29 05:07:07 UTC

He didn't use plastic on the outside though. I think it was a conversion from an old chicken coup.

2017-09-29 05:07:27 UTC

Well at least 6 feet tall at the apex. I have no Idea how wide to make it.

2017-09-29 05:07:38 UTC

How much room do you have?

2017-09-29 05:07:51 UTC

1 acre

2017-09-29 05:07:54 UTC

kek

2017-09-29 05:08:09 UTC

Dude, just build something permanent.

2017-09-29 05:08:51 UTC

No, I live on an acre and a half if you include the house. I can't, I don't own the land.

2017-09-29 05:09:03 UTC

Oh.

2017-09-29 05:09:12 UTC

Renting fucking sucks.

2017-09-29 05:09:25 UTC

Yeah.

2017-09-29 05:09:34 UTC

It has it's place though.

2017-09-29 05:10:22 UTC

Plus, I have a few large trees in the yard so making something that could move would be better.

2017-09-29 05:12:17 UTC

I have to ask, are looking to do something like orchid's plan? Or, are you gonna come be Bear Grills with ramen and me?

2017-09-29 05:13:40 UTC

I'm good either way tbh, whatever works out best. I think some civilization is probably good to have relatively near though.

2017-09-29 05:14:45 UTC

We aren't moving to Alaska, so there will always be civilization near by.

2017-09-29 05:14:52 UTC

I've been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to learn most of the basic skills needed to "homestead", but I don't mind city living either.

2017-09-29 05:16:19 UTC

I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but something like this http://www.eugsters.com/ has the ability to make a ton of money if we're close enough to a large city.

2017-09-29 05:16:40 UTC

It's 10 mins from where I live.

2017-09-29 05:17:21 UTC

When you say "a ton" of money, how much are you thinking?

2017-09-29 05:18:23 UTC

KEK "Come Visit the White Nationalist Petting Zoo! Fun For All Ages!"

2017-09-29 05:19:42 UTC

I don't even care about the money, that would be fun and awesome.

2017-09-29 05:20:29 UTC

enough to justify purchasing land to make something like this. Any left over produce can be eaten or fed to pigs. It also lets us establish a way to show that we aren't just a bunch of ted kacynski inspired skinheads.

2017-09-29 05:20:50 UTC

It would be all wholesome white families. No boons screaming about not getting enough food pellets.

2017-09-29 05:21:36 UTC

I think it would be worth doing just for the sake of outreach and fun.

2017-09-29 05:22:01 UTC

You also have to rember that these are rustbelt prices, not west coast prices.

2017-09-29 05:23:02 UTC

We could win the hearts and minds of our fellow white people while making some money to further our cause.

2017-09-29 05:23:44 UTC

yeah thats a great idea

2017-09-29 05:23:52 UTC

I'm still not sold on the revenue potential, it would definitely be region dependent. But I still think it's a good idea.

2017-09-29 05:25:57 UTC

Well, if we're two hours from seattle it probably wouldn't work. They have 15 acres of land and are somehow able to employ enough people to work 6 seperate locations and a bakery.

2017-09-29 05:28:28 UTC

Now, add into this plan the fact that we could grow stuff like this http://www.rareseeds.com/glass-gem-corn-/. I think it would take a few years to setup, but after that we'd have a profitable, legal buisiness that helps whites reconnect with their roots.

2017-09-29 05:28:36 UTC

now that I think about it, starting any kind of business would be great for local outreach, wether it be pubs, stores, restaurants, or even something like a church

2017-09-29 05:28:45 UTC

For sure.

2017-09-29 05:29:15 UTC

We, could work with the local 4H and boy scout troops.

2017-09-29 05:29:27 UTC

This is why it's so important to be palletable to the public.

2017-09-29 05:29:49 UTC

Well, one of the reasons why.

2017-09-29 05:31:50 UTC

We donate a few sheep or goats to the 4h, then right it off on our taxes and cash in like crazy when the local news comes to cover our donation. The possibilities are endless. Free food to feed the homeless, field trips, Pick your own fruit.

2017-09-29 05:33:20 UTC

The reason Cliven Bundy wasn't arrested for a year was because his community stood by him. We need the same thing to happen. (((They))) can't shoah us if the whole county loves us.

2017-09-29 05:46:11 UTC

have you ever tried growing any winter crops in a greenhouse?

2017-09-29 05:47:24 UTC

No, the weather in wisconsin is to unpredictable. Some years we have snow on the ground right now.

2017-09-29 05:49:04 UTC

@Orchid you actually have a better climate in toronto due to the great lakes. It limits how cold your area can get.

2017-09-29 05:53:30 UTC

true

2017-09-30 18:27:45 UTC

Tried re-organizing so that I do my compound lifts first now, feels great ๐Ÿ˜„

2017-09-30 18:29:11 UTC

how do you decide on what workout to do first?

2017-09-30 19:35:17 UTC

made a new loaf today

2017-09-30 19:35:23 UTC

double rose it

2017-09-30 19:38:17 UTC

awesome, how long did it take?

2017-09-30 19:58:14 UTC

a few hours

2017-09-30 19:58:17 UTC

2-4 at most

2017-10-01 11:50:36 UTC

/sig/ is whats up

2017-10-01 12:15:59 UTC

Gonna try to make bread, Maybe tommorow ๐Ÿค— With flour made from the quickroot

2017-10-01 12:22:12 UTC

Oh just saw you wrote @Orchid Compound lifts should be done asap because you have more energy for them then

2017-10-01 12:22:44 UTC

Like squats, deadlifts and bench press

2017-10-01 22:35:49 UTC

What's up, guys - I posted a mega.nz upload of a bunch of class material and notes I have from my study of kinesiology (basically exercise science + other stuff). Would you be interested in me re-posting that here? Are you more interested in specific things - resistance training, nutrition, etc?

2017-10-01 22:36:30 UTC

sounds like something for our archives channel

2017-10-01 22:36:46 UTC

Post it, sounds interesting

2017-10-07 21:28:53 UTC

this is a good beginners fitness program

2017-10-07 23:24:59 UTC

If there are any older people here (I'm only 18), that have had very bad depression, did it ever get easier? If so, what're the best methods?

2017-10-07 23:25:37 UTC

My family is too poor for a therapist, and my mom won't look for anyone to prescribe me anti-depressants because she's too lazy

2017-10-07 23:27:12 UTC

I've struggled with (((depression))) and let me tell you something, you have two kinds of voices/thoughts everytime you psyco-analyze

2017-10-07 23:27:26 UTC

wow sry my keyboard is flipping out 1 sec

2017-10-07 23:27:35 UTC

Np

2017-10-07 23:28:07 UTC

I was clinically diagnosed with depression. Some if it, when you're young, has to do with growing up. I never really took pills but I tried to make some lifestyle changes and writing things down really helps. Sometimes stuff gets overwhelming and having it all written down in front of you helps rationalize and compartimalize. You're 18 so you'll get the whole "you're young life has just started" speech, but there is truth to it. Things can always improve and realizing you have control over it helps tackle stuff.

2017-10-07 23:29:22 UTC

You probably get that negative voice in your head that shits on you all the time, and practicing positive thinking legitmatley helps and rewires how your brain looks at life and problems.

2017-10-07 23:29:51 UTC

Everything meek_manlet said is true and what I was going to say Bless you meek_manlet haha that's weird

2017-10-07 23:30:34 UTC

Find the Cain and Abel voices in you is a first step to see irl changes

2017-10-07 23:31:46 UTC

lmao no worries man. A lot of us guys have to deal with this shit and it's a vicous cycle that's hard to break. but it isn't impossible and you posess the power and ability to change your life for the better. No matter how hopeless and shitty things seem, there is always an option to take. I've always told myself that if I'm dead, I'm still in the game and I can still win

2017-10-07 23:31:59 UTC

*not dead

2017-10-07 23:33:02 UTC

It just seems so unfair to me, I'm not a bad looking guy, I'm actually really handsome and have considered modeling (I'm not sperging just being honest) and I'm a genuinely a caring and intelligent person, but everyone I see around me, just seems so distasteful and unapproachable so I've never been able to make any friends. I'm a fairly buff guy, I work out and eat healthy, I read, I study and work hard in school and plan on going to law school. I know I sound like Elliot Rodgers, I really do, but I'm just not the type of guy to play video games all day and hate others for not wanting to be my friend. I just want to know WHY it's hard to have friends

2017-10-07 23:33:45 UTC

Hey

2017-10-07 23:34:01 UTC

I'm 22 and I've had depression for about four, five years now.

2017-10-07 23:34:01 UTC

Guess what? with the internet you've just made some new friends.

2017-10-07 23:35:03 UTC

It's a bit sad that the only way to make friends for me, is to find those with similar political views

2017-10-07 23:35:06 UTC

I've seen a psychiatrist and have taken some medication for it. The first thing you need to ask yourself is this : What do *you* think is causing your depression? @Anti-rednibba

2017-10-07 23:35:25 UTC

A big part of it is genetic, my father has very bad depression as well

2017-10-07 23:35:28 UTC

It's the world we live in right now brother

2017-10-07 23:35:31 UTC

I'm almost the complete oppositte. I'm 5'5'', overweight, and I have physical deformities. Making friends can be daunting but sometimes it takes time and work to connect with people. Try to get involves with common interests and activities and try to be conciousley inviting and conversational with people - even if they can be insufferable.

2017-10-07 23:35:32 UTC

Chaos

2017-10-07 23:35:36 UTC

Same here. I have a history of suicide in my family.

2017-10-07 23:35:45 UTC

But that doesn't really explain it.

2017-10-07 23:35:49 UTC

That just means you are more prone to it

2017-10-07 23:36:00 UTC

If depression was a person, it would have an easier time catching you, basically.

2017-10-07 23:36:25 UTC

Do you think it's your lack of a social life that is causing your depression, or do you think it's something deeper?

2017-10-07 23:36:37 UTC

Another part, which actually ties into this server, is that I've grown up in a 99% black community and school system, so I've always had a stigma around me for being the white kid

2017-10-07 23:36:54 UTC

Sorry to dump all my problems, it's just been a really bad day

2017-10-07 23:37:00 UTC

Don't apologize, mate.

2017-10-07 23:37:03 UTC

it's cool dude

2017-10-07 23:37:05 UTC

Im 16 and ive been pretty fucking depressed since i was like 15 or 14. I used to be a huge normie conservative but once i got really redpilled ive been super fucked up. Its really hard for me to function around other people and i find it harder and harder to be around my friends

2017-10-07 23:37:09 UTC

What do you mean when you say people are unapproachable? I suggest not having too high standards of people, since you might not be very approachable yourself. You're going to always be disappointed if you think people need to have certain qualities before you can talk to them

2017-10-07 23:37:55 UTC

I used to think I was depressed because I didn't have a fine maiden to call my own, but when I was 20 and at university, I started doing casual dating, and that lead to casual sex. That didn't solve anything.

2017-10-07 23:38:28 UTC

@Orchid as in, I'm never worried about what other people are worried about, I find no interest in the things most people talk about, or how they act, getting drunk, petting every chance they get, having sex with whomever they want, it all just seems so foreign to me

2017-10-07 23:38:41 UTC

*partying every chance

2017-10-07 23:39:11 UTC

I actually have a wonderful girlfriend that I love, isn't a roasties and is very traditional

2017-10-07 23:39:22 UTC

Apply your time to learn new skills rather than people because when you search for those skills you will eventually find those other people who are like minded in the area.

2017-10-07 23:39:23 UTC

She's one of the few things that I can genuinely say makes me happy

2017-10-07 23:39:38 UTC

ah i see, then you need to reconsider where you meet other people

2017-10-07 23:39:58 UTC

@Jelly Jiggler I guess that's why it's so easy to make friends in political communities we share

2017-10-07 23:40:00 UTC

Lol

2017-10-07 23:40:03 UTC

haha

2017-10-07 23:40:11 UTC

thing about adulthood is that grownups are very good at segregating eachother, dumb people will always hang around other dumb people, and smart people will always find each other,

2017-10-07 23:40:29 UTC

I feel you nibba, that's a huge part of young people culutre. Jelly is right, getting out there and getting involved with various interests will increase your likelehood of meeting more likeable people.

2017-10-07 23:40:42 UTC

I have a pretty personal question, and you don't need to answer it if is too invasive. Do you watch porn? @Anti-rednibba

2017-10-07 23:40:47 UTC

I'm hoping this type of segregation you're talking about will be noticeable in college, because I start that soon

2017-10-07 23:40:57 UTC

@Lorenzo Yeah I do

2017-10-07 23:41:02 UTC

its okay if the people you comeacross in everyday life might not be particularily admirable people, you just need to rethink where you hang out

2017-10-07 23:41:03 UTC

College will open a lot of doors, especially with clubs

2017-10-07 23:41:16 UTC

I masturbate 1-2 times a day

2017-10-07 23:41:25 UTC

Porn is a source of depression because it messes up with your dopamine levels. This isn't psychological, it's neurological. So I think you should cut porn out of your life.

2017-10-07 23:41:28 UTC

That's way too much.

2017-10-07 23:41:38 UTC

I see, like a hard drug

2017-10-07 23:41:43 UTC

yeah definitely stop jerking so much

2017-10-07 23:41:44 UTC

Exactly.

2017-10-07 23:41:50 UTC

I have some studies on this.

2017-10-07 23:41:53 UTC

If you're interested.

2017-10-07 23:41:59 UTC

Should I cut out masturbating altogether?

2017-10-07 23:41:59 UTC

but it's pretty depression to read

2017-10-07 23:42:04 UTC

I don't think so.

2017-10-07 23:42:05 UTC

And yes please

2017-10-07 23:42:10 UTC

I'm actually interested in the studies too, not to hijack the convo or anythig

2017-10-07 23:42:19 UTC

Just do it less, and do it without anything else than your imigation to drive you.

2017-10-07 23:42:23 UTC

once a week is what I do and it's kept me pretty sane

2017-10-07 23:42:37 UTC

Did any of you do it and see improvement?

2017-10-07 23:42:45 UTC

I'm currently breaking out of it.

2017-10-07 23:42:47 UTC

Absolutley can confirm

2017-10-07 23:42:55 UTC

It's really, *really* hard to break out of porn addiction, believe me.

2017-10-07 23:43:49 UTC

I'll give it my hardest shot

2017-10-07 23:44:05 UTC

Another thing

2017-10-07 23:44:07 UTC

heh hardest

2017-10-07 23:44:11 UTC

Here's a place to start.

2017-10-07 23:44:13 UTC

oh you\

2017-10-07 23:44:15 UTC

To learn, I mean.

2017-10-07 23:44:18 UTC

Thanks

2017-10-07 23:44:42 UTC

Otherwise, use google scholar to find some more scientific studies. Also, type in "porn addiction" on youtube and you'll find a plethora of speakers.

2017-10-07 23:44:48 UTC

And don't mention it.

2017-10-07 23:46:06 UTC

The greatest advice I've received on porn addiction is this : You need to treat porn as sorcerer's spell. Imagine that there is an evil warlock that is trying to curse you with a hex spell that weakens you every time you get the urge to watch porn. Doing this will make the battle feel less like a battle against yourself, and more like a battle against something evil. It's been working so far with me.

2017-10-07 23:47:18 UTC

I know the golden one is a bit of a meme for most people, but this video has helped me a lot, personally.

2017-10-07 23:47:26 UTC

i had a friend who had that angel as his fb profile kek

2017-10-07 23:47:32 UTC

And fixing your dopamine levels will be required if you ever want to fix your depression.

2017-10-07 23:47:57 UTC

Another way to help your dopamine levels is through working out.

2017-10-07 23:48:07 UTC

I started to lift weights two years ago and I've been happier about it ever since.

2017-10-07 23:48:24 UTC

doesn't exercise help with testosterone too

2017-10-07 23:48:30 UTC

I believe so.

2017-10-07 23:48:38 UTC

It helps with self confidence

2017-10-07 23:48:44 UTC

which will in turn help your social life

2017-10-07 23:48:57 UTC

And plus you end up healthier, which is obviously good

2017-10-07 23:49:04 UTC

As for this, a big part of my depression was this girl I met my freshmen year, she was a year older than me, and to make things short I fell in love with her and all that yadayadayada, but I fell in love with her because, as I was depressed then too, she was really the only time I had experienced geniuine social interaction, I felt that she *wanted* to talk to me, and that she *enjoyed* my company, and I thought she really loved me too, I could actually feel it. We were a thing for about a year and a half, and it was great really, but to sum things up, I met these guys, and they seemed cool I just didn't know them that well, and this one guy named josh even offered to "be like brothers" ( if you're not from the south that might seem foreign to you) and then, after getting back from a trip, I learned her and 3 of those dudes, including josh, had fucked. I was too shaken to say or do anything, I had no idea how to feel or how to process it. My mind just went blank. Then, through a set of circumstances that are too long to type, I ended up watching her and josh make out and grind on eachother before I left.

2017-10-07 23:49:15 UTC

Wow that's a shitload of text

2017-10-07 23:49:17 UTC

yeah start doing the little things first, like cutting out certain addictions and lifting weights. Infact I think the best place to start is taking cold showers, it takes little effort and feel really good. That may then lead you to other imporvements in your life

2017-10-07 23:50:03 UTC

i had a crush get with a mutual friend names josh too wtf.

2017-10-07 23:50:15 UTC

it sounds like you're surrounded with people you can't connect with.

2017-10-07 23:50:28 UTC

I'm at university and my circle of friends are all liberals, so I have a similar problem.

2017-10-07 23:50:47 UTC

As difficult as it sounds, you have to detach yourself from ideology though at times.

2017-10-07 23:50:57 UTC

yeah that really sucks man, when youre in that type of situation you really just need to change your environment
