You get fairly new packages, a fairly up to date kernel and everything has sane defaults

the package manager is idiot proof, and since they abandoned yum for dnf, it's also fast enough

yum was piss slow to be fair

the only bad points are systemd and the fact that you do free betatests for RHEL
