Well, in defense of the public I will say that the system we have set up is designed specifically to keep peeps in the dark about politics, whether local, State, or Federal... Just one small example? We are Bombarded with local election advertising right now, yet not one single commercial tells the date or day the vote will be held... Thats just one tiny tiny example of a much more sinister system...
And obviously, some local governments aren't bad. So keeping the gears oiled is good enough. Those are generally the county governments though. heh
I'm not trying to top you, my friend, but I have never seen anything as sinister as what's happening here in my county inside of California. My locality found it necessary to vote by mail. We were all mailed ballots and we fill in the squares, walk to our mailboxes, raise the flag, and the very trustable mailman delivers your votes to the officials.
From what I've seen in many articles from both sides, New York and Cali are topping the charts for sinister every year LOL...
This is to make sure there's not obstacles to voting rights/access. Seems fair. But the minute I start to think of the potential for fraud, my rational head starts spinning.
