in what ways was he shitty
He bankrupted the state, and spent the rainy day fund until it was just 68 cents
wow
He tried running for senator in the 2016 election, but his advertisement campaign was really shitty compared to Portmanโs
So he lost
58.0% to 37.2%
yeah, what a pathetic showing
the good news is that if the GOP does it right, a lot of races this November should look like that
The asshole thought that โsince muh trump is against abortion, so is Portmanโ. Thatโs what his advertisement campaign was. Portmanโs in the other hand was that since Strickland bankrupted the State, why would we make him our senator?
if only 51.1% of people who voted for Trump voted for Moore, he would have won
But the Dems scared the voters away with the pedo allegations.
Either ways, I donโt think Jones will make it to the next election
if 75.1% of people who voted for Trump voted for the GOP candidate in the Governor's race in New Jersey, the Republican would have won
tbh if I were Jones, I wouldn't even bother running for another term
But New Jersey is a blue state
I'd abuse my time to vote solid blue
New Jersey is a blue state and Alabama is a red state
doesn't mean that the underdog party can't win
Right
We could win New Jersey since Menendez is so controversial
@FLanon I remember hearing about AP Human Geography when I was a HS freshman, but never took it. That's how it is? Jeez
Southern NJ could carry a Republican to victory
Atlantic City is basically Las Vegas
Tossup city
Can I show you guys something
sure
Iโll put the first 3 up and the rest once you have red it
I fucking called it
https://twitter.com/altochulo/status/955940711496650754
idiots
he's residing in his DC home
Like I said, these people see Trump as the devil, and any deal will lead to riots.
The intentions are the same
If there's a deal, and we get to change the immigration system, w/ a wall, no diversity lotto, no chain migration, the net effect is a positive on our side , and these people will still riot over this not being amnesty open borders.
If there's no deal, every person in that video will be going right to Mexico.
They have no leverage, they're at our mercy.
the only bill I'll accept is the Goodlatte bill
And now they have to deal with the monster of their own making
With our advantage, we may be able to get Schumer to sign it.
If there's no deal, Trump can say "we were willing to negotiate but he wasn't up to the plate! Sad!", if there is, then the DreamerBrigadeโข and progressives will cause a split right down the middle of the Democratic Party
I see nothing but positives, really
here's the dirty little secret of the Democrats
Yes, I know, '86
they an interest in keeping illegal immigration flowing
to secure potential voters
of course, we know this, but the LEGAL immigration problem is as big
we've gotta get both on our side
If Trump can manage a deal where we get everything secured in Goodlatte and giving the Dreamers residency, I think that's best case scenario.
I hope there's a way he can navigate this w/out giving a path to citizenship
**NO AMNESTY**
As for potential voters, after these midterms we should get rallies going for voter ID
Also
Trump's going after California with the Census
by adding a citizenship question
I've seen that, it's a good play.
should cost the state 2 electoral votes and 2 reps
I trust Trump as a negotiator, this play he's been making on the immigration deal has been masterful
He knows how to play the game
The Dems have no leverage, we have all of it
wait
its possible the Dems want the Dreamers deported so they can use pictures of them being rounded up to sway voters
Well that's why Trump passed DACA to the legislature and didn't cut up the program and sent them all back
Jesus I missed a lot apparently
Yeah, it's been pretty turbulent
Anyways, the GOP and Trump can make the excuse that the Dems fumbled the deal, that's why he passed it to them.
SWITCH PARTIES ALREADY
Oh yeah I was going to say that Manchin looks like he won't be running for Senate again this year
That'd be good for us
Who else can they even run
Ehh I'm ambivalent
It's now competing with Oklahoma for the reddest state in the union
a democrat in WV is pretty rare really
7 out of 10 voted for Trump there
Post-2000, yes
You've got to understand that it used to be a blue state
Manchin isn't progressive by any means and he might have not voted blue all the time, but he still leaned quite Democratic. The only reason Manchin won was because he ran on coal
so did every rural blue collar union area, but they're jumping ship
He's not progressive, but people too often conflate the "blue dogs" as right wing, which isn't the case
Manchin isn't voting for Trump's agenda any more than the worst Republican senators
Most probably because Schumer's holding the reins tight, but the effect is the same
Votes are what matter in legislature, that's it.
And to be honest, Manchin is probably the only WV Democrat who could beat WV Republican. IDK about the progressive alternative, Paula Swearengin
Most definitely, Manchin does well in the polls
And it doesn't look like Swearengin isn't running on coal, since it is quite anti-progressive
I think if someone like that ran in a state like WV they'd be completely finished
Anyways, back to DACA
Goodlatte or bust
The Dems cannot put all of the blame for DACA failing on Trump
He can easily argue this on a constitutional basis
"I was willing to make a deal, but they didn't care enough!"
If he came out in September and decided to end DACA and send ICE down immediately, then you could make that argument.
I think this will end well for the Rs and for us 100%.
If they capitulate, we get everything we want and the "dreamers" will screech at them, if they don't then they can't get their new voters and the "dreamers" will screech at them (this time surrounded by ICE).
It's a catch-22 in the best way possible.
win-win
Hey
I wonder if I should take a look at Chuck Schumer's home here in NYC and see if I can talk to the protestors
it's a bit of a long trip away from me though
new thread
bump it every 10 minutes
how the fuck did this happen
https://news.sky.com/story/north-korea-calls-for-reunification-with-south-korea-11221519
huh
wow
is that a legit news site?
Sky News, yeah
Murdoch owns it
peaceful reunification?
They're going to be the same team in the winter olympics so i'd assume so
This is surprising, I never pictured that NK could be the ones leading the initiative
I wonder if Trump will rise in approval from this
Ever since the "I have a bigger nuclear button" line, they seem to have been pacified, opening conversation lines with the south, not really taunting the US.
You bet it would, no amount of media shilling could change that.
They can pull the "id's obama's egonomy" line when they're talking about the economic boom, but foreign policy as of J20 2017 is 100% Trump's responsibility.
I have no clue how this was accomplished
Maybe a backchannel deal w/ the Chinese/Americans in exchange for him living comfy
But if something this monumental is accomplished, it would be a major deal, we could pull our troops out of East Asia, and the only existential threat to the US would be completely neutralized.
We could stop needing to give aid to SK and Japan, and reallocate those resources back to the US.
Politically it's useful, and practically, it's even better.
I just hope they're legitimate.
Anyone there?
I'm here
We should bump the thread
someone bump the thread
YouTube is retarded
check em
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH
I REMEMBER MAKING A JOKE TROLL THREAD ABOUT THIS MONTHS AGO
this guy lost to Dubya in the prime of his unpopularity
this is the thread I made
If Trump's proposed DACA legislation on Monday is garbage, my support is rescinded
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst
lol come the fuck on
the Modus operandi seems to be to use it to fuck with the Democrats politically
BTW are there lots of Hispanics in your area
I'm part of the 4% White minority in an 75%+ Hispanic town
wow
what's the name of the place ?
I'm guessing you're in Socal
yep
hell on Earth,
I'd move away but us minorities have to stick together
Whites being the minority, in this case
which is why i'm more passionate about immigration than any other issue, so if Trump caves, i'm done.
I'm hopeful he will not because he surrounds himself with people like Miller, Cotton, and Kelly who are immigration hardliners too
I thought everyone who wasn't a shill stopped worrying about that #amnestydon bs because it really looks like he's just using it to toss the dems around
I'm a concern troll at nature, can't help it
being dedicated towards certain policies that can only be enacted once in a lifetime does that to you
did you live in that area all your life?
How white was it when you were a kid
a lot more, that's for sure
a lot of white flight has occurred since then
Sad. Remember to spread this around.
Anyone there?
yeah
These pictures make me sad
What life was like during a Better time
where's that
Rhodesia in the 70s
ah, yeah
Africa was better off under European colonization
how many black people are in your area
Not many
There are some but not a lot
one of my Jewish girls here in NYC shares a name with this chick
exact name
close to the same age
she gets random black people sending her hate messages on Instagram because of it
Wow
That sucks
wtf this proposal is garbage
>protect the nuclear family
it better be a carrot
Courtland Sykes is standing up against the feminist agenda of not having his dinner ready at six every night. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian, hosts of The Young Turks, discuss. This clip is brought to you by Squarespace. http://www.squarespace.com/tyt Read more here: https://www.rawstory.com/2018/01/gop-... "Republican U.S. Senate candidate for Missouri Courtland Sykes blasted โwomenโs rightsโ this week. In a statement posted to Facebook on Tuesday, Sykes said that he had been asked if he โsupports womenโs rights.โ โI want to come home to a home cooked dinner every night at six,โ Sykes said, referring to demands he makes of his girlfriend. โOne that she fixes and one that I expect one day to have daughters learn to fix after they become traditional homemakers and family wives.โ According to Sykes, feminists push an agenda that they โmade up to suit their own nasty snake-filled heads.โ
The candidate said that he hoped his daughters do not grow up to be โcareer obsessed banshees who forgo home life and children and the happiness of family to become nail-biting manophobic hell-bent feminist she devils who shriek from the top of a thousand tall buildings they are [SIC] think they could have leaped in a single bound โ had men not been โsuppressing them.โ Itโs just nuts.โโ*
looks like we know who we're supporting to oust McCaskill
in Missouri
sorry, sticking with Hawley
what's Hawley like
pls don't distract from the fact the WH is proposing a garbage bill
who's distracting
Hawley is the best option, end of story, no meme candidates
young, harvard graduate, perfect
anyway
it doesn't look good, but I'm not sure that this is his proposal
call congressmen anyways
it's always worth it
interesting
if Miller and Cotton don't change the bill, my DC office will rain hell on the WH
I was just browsing TYT (used to do it back in the day) and just stumbled across that
had no idea who Hawley was
looks promising
my agency has a lot of influence over congress, they'll kill the bill no matter what it takes
IMO, youth is a MAJOR boon
Hawley's not a ground shaker, but he's a brick and we need bricks.
we need our candidates to have youthful faces and bodies
I work for NumbersUSA btw,
your DC Office?
NumbersUSA?
lol wow, so you actually have a job that centers around lowering the amount of illegals in the country
nice
talk about dedication
If we could stuff congress to the brim with a bunch of Moores and Sykes, then we'd be going for these people.
our staff has been flooding the phonelines all day
The unfortunate thing is, we still have to put them into the office.
Beck is not happy about it and has put us on overtime to fix it
not rly DC, Arlington, but you get the jist
I think I remember Beck from the gumball video
ya that's him
very informative
i'm curious who the GOP will run in Indiana
I'm putting my money on Rokita
at a glance, he looks alright
this guy seems to be the frontrunner so far
with this other guy being 2nd
so it'll probably be Todd Rokita
and if not him, Luke Messer
It's not a loss either way, both are good on immigration.
it's weird how Donnelly won in the first place,
the state voted 90%+ Republican before the incumbent retired
Like I'm saying, US Representatives are easier to track, typically more to the right, and don't have too much in terms of controversy.
They're our best shot.
Both are representatives in this race in particular.
should the Senate pass the 20-week abortion ban?
I don't care much about abortion...I'm pretty pro choice, but wouldn't cry if they passed it
politically speaking....
it would motivate the pro-life base
so it would be a good mood
indeed
I assume you only care about immigration as do I
the pro-choicers who would resent the GOP for it, already resent the GOP anyway
