Admit you are wrong

2018-09-12 07:48:20 UTC

We wont think any less of you

2018-09-12 07:48:29 UTC

Admitting that Bible is open to corruption and maybe not entirely moral word for word

2018-09-12 07:48:38 UTC

But I get to openly call you a nazi piece of trash

2018-09-12 07:48:42 UTC

[Peter 2:18โ€“25]

2018-09-12 07:48:51 UTC

Even moderate christians do that

2018-09-12 07:48:53 UTC

:<

2018-09-12 07:48:57 UTC

i could admit i was wrong if i was wrong

2018-09-12 07:49:01 UTC

but im not

2018-09-12 07:49:02 UTC

XD

2018-09-12 07:49:15 UTC

[1 Peter 2:18-25]

2018-09-12 07:49:16 UTC

2018-09-12 07:49:22 UTC

B word please

2018-09-12 07:49:27 UTC

You know you are wrong

2018-09-12 07:49:43 UTC

thats not a true statement

2018-09-12 07:49:51 UTC

You are saying it doesn't condone slavery while it literally tells people to buy slaves

2018-09-12 07:49:56 UTC

You know what

2018-09-12 07:49:59 UTC

I cant do this

2018-09-12 07:50:04 UTC

Lol

2018-09-12 07:50:09 UTC

i love you

2018-09-12 07:50:09 UTC

Have fun arguing with the brainless christian

2018-09-12 07:50:13 UTC

try to be happy

2018-09-12 07:50:26 UTC

This is getting too cliche

2018-09-12 07:50:49 UTC

ok, here is how i would argue slavery with the bible Day, since the Bible sets up a frame for for slavery AND that there are multiple passages talking about how slaves should ibey their masters. It makes a logic concention at the very least the bible doesnt go against slavery, and also could even push that it supports it

2018-09-12 07:50:53 UTC

Christians telling people they love them while following a book that condones slavery

2018-09-12 07:51:25 UTC

you keep saying that

2018-09-12 07:51:44 UTC

ok, it does give a frame work for slavery

2018-09-12 07:52:06 UTC

and i just posted a whole quote that says you should obey your master

2018-09-12 07:52:14 UTC

Okay giving a frame work for slavery and telling people they can buy slaves from other nations is not condoning slavery?

2018-09-12 07:52:49 UTC

yes satan, you too :3

2018-09-12 07:53:07 UTC

๐Ÿ˜

2018-09-12 07:53:18 UTC

you guys really should read the bible more to pose better arguements atleast

2018-09-12 07:53:27 UTC

[Romans 6:16]

2018-09-12 07:53:27 UTC

2018-09-12 07:53:57 UTC

??

2018-09-12 07:54:05 UTC

So we should obey?

2018-09-12 07:54:11 UTC

That isn't helping

2018-09-12 07:54:37 UTC

it doesnt help my arguement, seemingly to you, i provided ammunition for you

2018-09-12 07:55:24 UTC

Day my orginal point was that you can and people did, that is the more important part i feel like, use the bible to argue both for and against slavery

2018-09-12 07:56:03 UTC

the bible is full of contention, you need the Holy Spirit to discern for you

2018-09-12 07:56:20 UTC

but you cant have people argueing both sides

2018-09-12 07:56:42 UTC

that clearly means one side is wrong and one side is right

2018-09-12 07:57:01 UTC

[Matthew 13:13]

2018-09-12 07:57:02 UTC

2018-09-12 07:57:37 UTC

You trolly christian you are

2018-09-12 07:57:45 UTC

Can't help much if the Christian continues to act blind

2018-09-12 07:58:19 UTC

are you projecting?

2018-09-12 07:58:31 UTC

so the bible can be interpeded wrong?

2018-09-12 07:59:05 UTC

sure, ppl can understand just about anything wrongly

2018-09-12 07:59:20 UTC

then the bible can be corupted

2018-09-12 07:59:33 UTC

no, people can be corrupted

2018-09-12 07:59:52 UTC

and then they twist the bible to support themselves

2018-09-12 08:00:08 UTC

do you accuse me of twisting?

2018-09-12 08:00:14 UTC

:^) almost like the bible was written in the first place

2018-09-12 08:00:17 UTC

no

2018-09-12 08:01:13 UTC

people know the bible is looked at by many as the highest form of truth, so some will kinda try to tailor specific verses to agree with them so they can seem more right

2018-09-12 08:01:35 UTC

How did you get your interpretation of the Bible @Christmas EveryDay many people on this server use biblical literalism as their agruments (mainly the flat earthers) however I know this way of looking at the text is only a recent development

2018-09-12 08:01:44 UTC

that is corupting the bible away from its true meaning to fit a differnt meaning

2018-09-12 08:01:50 UTC

[1 John 2:27]

2018-09-12 08:01:51 UTC

2018-09-12 08:02:13 UTC

Which is why Fluff Pepper and I tend to also use literalism in debate

2018-09-12 08:02:21 UTC

i didnt say people were right for trying to make the bible fit their narrative

2018-09-12 08:02:32 UTC

i am not saying they are wrong

2018-09-12 08:02:37 UTC

i am just saying they do it

2018-09-12 08:02:43 UTC

indeed

2018-09-12 08:03:11 UTC

and if they twist it away from the true meaning to support their own view, that is a corruption of the meaning of the bible. it is being used in the wrong way

2018-09-12 08:03:36 UTC

the word of God is alive though

2018-09-12 08:03:48 UTC

saying it only means 1 thing seems kinda limiting

2018-09-12 08:04:07 UTC

so then there is no true meaning

2018-09-12 08:04:19 UTC

I was about to say that

2018-09-12 08:04:27 UTC

every1 has a very personal walk with Jesus

2018-09-12 08:04:43 UTC

:GWchadThink:

2018-09-12 08:04:48 UTC

nah

2018-09-12 08:04:57 UTC

๐Ÿ˜ก

2018-09-12 08:05:04 UTC

if i get a differnt meaning from the bible then you do. that means there isnt 1 true absolute meaning

2018-09-12 08:05:08 UTC

[1 John 2:27]

2018-09-12 08:05:09 UTC

2018-09-12 08:06:06 UTC

it has a straight verse telling people to buy slaves (just an example) that cant really be interpreted any differently

2018-09-12 08:07:15 UTC

what bothers you about buying slaves?

2018-09-12 08:07:43 UTC

because you shouldnt be able to own people and force them to do what ever you want

2018-09-12 08:08:11 UTC

*forceably own them

2018-09-12 08:08:16 UTC

what if you wanted to marry my daughter and agreed to work for me until i said it was ok

2018-09-12 08:08:29 UTC

a) i am gay

2018-09-12 08:08:32 UTC

then i'd call you a dickwad

2018-09-12 08:08:39 UTC

b) what satan said

2018-09-12 08:08:44 UTC

c) you wouldnt own me

2018-09-12 08:08:49 UTC

^

2018-09-12 08:09:08 UTC

you would be my servnt for a period of time

2018-09-12 08:09:18 UTC

ok, do i get paid?

2018-09-12 08:09:32 UTC

yeah i really dont see problem with that, why would i

2018-09-12 08:10:11 UTC

well i would probably let you have a living quarters

2018-09-12 08:10:31 UTC

a few meals

2018-09-12 08:10:49 UTC

no

2018-09-12 08:10:55 UTC

i wouldnt do that

2018-09-12 08:11:16 UTC

A few meals

2018-09-12 08:11:24 UTC

also, buying someone as a slave is not the same as "they agreed to work for me"

2018-09-12 08:11:24 UTC

what if i caught you stealing and wanted you to work it off ?

2018-09-12 08:11:37 UTC

thats illigal

2018-09-12 08:11:41 UTC

in the US that is

2018-09-12 08:11:53 UTC
