so if I draw a circle 6371 radius, then draw a vertical line from the 0 degree mark up for 0.27, and then from that point, a tangent line to the circle, the line is 58km

so on paper, somehting will only be dissapear from the bottom, after 58km... this is paper, not something with an atmosphere where the desity of light may have an effect

I modelled it in 3d in the DWG i sent, try import that and give us the view form top of the 0.27 line to the horizon

But it is as you described. I do a circle with the given radius, then on North (0 degrees) i draw a line that goes op 0.27km. From the top of that line to the tangent of the circle, that line is 58km

But we should have that gene work it out himself

its wing span is 10m so in the model it is only 10mm

1 unit = 1cm

I changed that height to a higher elevation, max altitude of 4.5km

4.5km is 4500mm is 45cm

so in the engine the 45cm in my model will be 45units

I would actually like to purchase a package for UE4 to create planets and such, could be interesting... al though, there is that outerra engine that has earth in a 1 to 1 scale, but i think you will need to buy into it to get the cessna plane, could then just use it to fly up to desired altitudes and take screenshots

@MR VLAK that is a pretty good illustration. The horizon lvl with wing doesn't seem to be from a lvl perspective. But I note the elevation matching eye lvl. This would make a good video from a POV. 🤔
