I am perfectly happy that it's real and has been part and parcel of the Hollywood entertainment complex from the beginning, starting maybe with Walt Disney himself. Flat Earth I will defend with everything I have - from the Giant trees onwards - this is all very new and is an amazing discovery that we can all share and get our teeth into. It's where we live - and we need to know EVERYTHING about our home. As a community project it can be a lot of fun, and because of the abundance of supporting evidence all over the world, including South Africa, it's something real, practical and provable. Flat water, flat horizon. (And the "space" Shuttle - oh the irony). Have look at the nose-up attitude of the 747. All planes fly like that - a few degrees of positive pitch. You don't push the nose down in an aircraft to descend, you simply close the throttle a bit. When there is less thrust there is less lift from the wings, resulting in the aircraft descending while still maintaining a positive rate of pitch. For an aircraft to fly around a sphere, the nose must constantly dip down to prevent the aircraft from flying off into outer space, because remember the earth is curving further down and away from the plane exponentially, with the nose of the aircraft pointing in the opposite direction. Diverging lines. At which point during a long commercial airline flight (or any other flight) does the pilot start pushing the nose down to go around the ball? Have you ever felt it? Conclusion: It's literally impossible for that 747 to fly around a sphere with that nose-up attitude.
