@Sojourner we know from the basic laws of physics that things accelerate towards the surface of the moon, so you don’t get super angled impacts because the angle is naturally reduced because of the change in velocity towards the surface

And we know that the angle doesn’t have an enormous impact on the shape of the crater from computer modelling and lab testing of hypervelocity projectiles

There are a lot of papers on it if you google round, I can’t right now because I’m trying to save data
