I'm obsessed with mgs and have beaten every game. I run metal gear groups. My friends know to contact me if they have questions about canon or get stuck on a boss. I have a new boyfriend and things have been going well for several months so I'm ready to show him this part of my life. I want to play through one of the games together (not in one session). What should I start with, 1 or 3? (He's never played any of these games) 3 has the easiest control scheme for new players to pick up and I wouldn't need to talk his ear off with backstory, we could just dive right in. 1 would be harder but it's so iconic and there's something about the aesthetic of psx games that gives everyone a little nostalgia, even if they've never played that game.
