I think it's more than just money, it's what that money can do for them. it's the value they place on material desires and pleasures that motivate and drive them, which money can buy. Others can have different values and not be corrupted by money in the same way, so it really comes down to the intentions and the reasons behind it, the way I see it.
@Sheamus definitely, money, power or things, fact is there is no way they did not know what will happen in SA. I mean HF Verwoerd said in his day already what we see today will happen, FW had access to all the intel on ANC documents, yet they supposedly thought the ANC would respect the constitution? Just makes me so angry.

@Penkop couldnt agree more, that is as objectively reasonable as you can get on the matter.
Even if FW negotiated deals for the minority whites. The ANC would have still changed the constitution sooner or later. I don't think we could have done anything either way.

@Karooboer would never have been allowed. Roelf should have negotiated that the constitution say that laws such as BEE should not be allowed for a minimum of per say 50 years. Things like that.

@Penkop I heard from colleagues who worked in a big company back then how the white management threatened them if they dare talking about and voting โnoโ. The whites in the upper class forced people to give in to the ANC.
A lot of people say that the NP lied to them and therefore they voted yes. I was too young to remember those details. I come out of a KP home so I mostly remember the rightโs speeches and arguments so I might be biased. Educate me...
