2018-11-10 18:48:02 UTC

He used to call shit out

2018-11-10 18:48:05 UTC

he used to be in the field

2018-11-10 18:48:09 UTC

he used to be *doing* something

2018-11-10 18:48:15 UTC

Now he just orange man bads at the TV all day

2018-11-10 18:48:18 UTC

I went into the Capitol building to pray despite not having a pass.

2018-11-10 18:48:18 UTC

We went to visit a friend of mom's on that evening (I was 8) and turned on the radio before leaving for some reason. All channels were reporting on the story nonstop, and when we got where we were headed, turned out all TV channels were stocked with the very same reporting. I remember wondering what the big deal was, since we got blown up buildings over here often around that time. The building looked way taller than anything I'd seen up to that point.

2018-11-10 18:48:20 UTC

it's depressing

2018-11-10 18:48:39 UTC

Happened to a lot of the big TV anchors from the 90s and 00s

2018-11-10 18:50:40 UTC

I appreciate the anchor desk newsman who reliably reads the news

2018-11-10 18:50:48 UTC

I appreciate the guys in the field getting the stories

2018-11-10 18:50:54 UTC

I don't appreciate pundits pretending to be anchors.

2018-11-10 18:51:01 UTC

The fall of the Berlin Wall was just freaky. It was so surreal we couldn't really celebrate. Same with the fall of the Soviet Union in Aug 1991. It happened as we were migrating to university. The idea that after the cold war it would all end like a candle blowing out was impossible to fathom.

2018-11-10 18:51:02 UTC

And that's all most of CNN and Fox is nowadays.

2018-11-10 18:51:12 UTC

That's wild, man

2018-11-10 18:51:26 UTC

Yeah I never experienced how absolute the USSR must've seemd

2018-11-10 18:51:38 UTC

Yeah

2018-11-10 18:51:40 UTC

I've heard that it felt like a titan that would never fade and then

2018-11-10 18:51:42 UTC

poof, fucking gone m8

2018-11-10 18:52:02 UTC

That glorious national anthem lives in in memes, though. So we have that.

2018-11-10 18:52:04 UTC

So we have that.

2018-11-10 18:52:11 UTC

much of their vaunted strength was lies and exaggerations.

2018-11-10 18:52:27 UTC

It lives in the new national anthem as well tbh

2018-11-10 18:52:35 UTC

I remember I was home sick from school when Reagan was shot. That freaked me out since I was home alone and at 11 years old lacked a frame of reference.

2018-11-10 18:52:38 UTC

I remember a story about some soviet who came to america and was convinced that a grocery store he visited was a setup by the government

2018-11-10 18:52:46 UTC

because he couldn't fathom so much food available.

2018-11-10 18:53:10 UTC

That's true

2018-11-10 18:53:18 UTC

It was a common reaction

2018-11-10 18:53:22 UTC

That's brutal

2018-11-10 18:54:01 UTC

I was on vacation when the Challenger exploded. My parents and I cried along with Peter Jennings.

2018-11-10 18:54:05 UTC

oof.

2018-11-10 18:55:01 UTC

hey 10th

2018-11-10 18:55:07 UTC

have you seen the clouds that the spacex rockets create?

2018-11-10 18:55:09 UTC
2018-11-10 18:55:27 UTC

Yeah

2018-11-10 18:55:42 UTC

I've seen pics

2018-11-10 18:55:44 UTC

that's the story I was thinking of @Atkins

2018-11-10 18:55:46 UTC

they're super cool

2018-11-10 18:56:14 UTC

"we pretend to work and they pretend to pay us"

2018-11-10 18:56:50 UTC

You know something's wrong with the system of government when one of the heads of your central administrative unit is shocked to see prosperity

2018-11-10 18:57:37 UTC

Unfortunately, that's what happens when people lack access to alternatives to look at and compare themselves to

2018-11-10 18:58:15 UTC

Which says a lot about the future of current day political debate that uses echo chambers as its cornerstone in a lot of countries

2018-11-10 18:59:38 UTC

mem

2018-11-10 19:17:53 UTC

@King Canuck why is it, that every time spacex launches a rocket in Cali at night, they are always calling it a UFO? Like are people in Cali that stupid? Even the redknecks in Florida are like "UFO? It's been on the schedule for months and it came from the ground not the sky you morons"

2018-11-10 19:18:07 UTC

Because it looks spooky

2018-11-10 19:18:19 UTC

I heard a story once about LA people reporting "strange lights in the sky" during a blackout.

2018-11-10 19:18:25 UTC

They were talking about fucking stars.

2018-11-10 19:18:30 UTC

might be urban legend though.

2018-11-10 19:18:57 UTC

I would not be surprised if City slickers didn't know what stars looked like.

2018-11-10 19:19:13 UTC

Lights are never really off in a city and light pollution sucks

2018-11-10 19:19:42 UTC

It's a shame, you can see the milkway when there is no light pollution

2018-11-10 22:29:52 UTC

"You thought I was *MAD*!"

2018-11-10 22:30:08 UTC

"I showed them! I *showed them all*!"

2018-11-11 00:03:33 UTC

Goddamn it, I hope the CIA keep an eye on Elon, surely he is up to something

2018-11-11 00:21:31 UTC

Or knows something we don't

2018-11-11 00:22:02 UTC

Maybe it's the CIA we should be worried about

2018-11-11 00:23:57 UTC

Is this their Russian collusion? To keep chicks from telling the public, and through extension his wife, about an affair?

2018-11-11 00:29:33 UTC

is it because Melania lived under communist USSR? is that what they mean by russian collusion this whole time?

2018-11-11 00:32:24 UTC

Then he has been colluding quite a bit. Or not if he is having afairs.

2018-11-11 01:05:38 UTC

The article Tim covered today

โ€œ Palm Beach election supervisor bans cameras from public ballot-counting โ€œ by Lulu Ramadan on The Palm Beach Post

NBC and Fox News sued after election officials illegally banned them from filming the recount. The judge agreed with them and forced them to allow the media back in. What were they hiding?

2018-11-11 01:18:02 UTC

@4AM_critter ๐Ÿ‰ try to find another news outlet that covered it.

2018-11-11 01:21:33 UTC

I was actually looking into this yesterday. The death of the prosecutor is real and there's some suspicions around it, but the investigation never found anything they could say proved foul play and I never found anything conclusive linking the prosecutor to investigating Schultz.

I used mainstream sources only for this hunt. Not sure I could find them all again, but I'll confirm the prosecutor was shot and the investigation concluded he did it to himself.

2018-11-11 01:26:19 UTC

I found a Miami Herald article about it from last year, it, but it was updated 9 hours ago
https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/crime/article158305419.html

2018-11-11 01:33:01 UTC

The Miami Herald is probably alright. @4AM_critter ๐Ÿ‰ it says he had no connection to anything related to the Democrats. Is their evidence to the contrary? Looks like he chased Illegals and did asbestos lawsuits.

2018-11-11 01:33:23 UTC

Still strange though.

2018-11-11 01:47:09 UTC

Good grief. I read that yesterday and don't remember most of that last section. Unfortunately NewsDiffs doesn't track this article. I guess the cover is happening as we speak.

2018-11-11 03:36:23 UTC

Oh, look, now Georgia too.

2018-11-11 03:36:46 UTC

Just close the polls. Democracy isn't for us.

2018-11-11 03:51:39 UTC

@Bookworm Agreed, let's end this silly democracy now and just accept that God Emperor Trump knows what's best for this country. If we believe the leftists, it'll be just like Nazi Germany. And lemme tell you, that would be glorious. The Nazis were brutally efficient and turned a failing country around into a mega-success of such unprecidented level, that even after the war, the better ideals they created lived on and allowed them to become the defacto leader of the EU today. If we had another leader with that much clout and forward thinking, without the red tape bullshit of his opposition, we'd have colonies on Mars within the next 10 years.

2018-11-11 03:53:27 UTC

I, for one, am looking forward to signing up for Trump's Space Force. Service guarantees citizenship!

CO2 is real. You just exhaled it rn.

>Nazi salute: feeling afraid
>Implementing authoritarian/Nazi like policies: a-okay

2018-11-11 11:50:35 UTC

Yeah, absolutely.

2018-11-11 17:32:05 UTC

Hahahahaha they called the police!
The media loves to point out when white people call the police for stupid reasons, wonder if theyโ€™ll cover this like that๐Ÿ˜‚

2018-11-11 18:06:07 UTC

"'Frankly, when you think someone is being too authoritarian there are more effective ways of communicating that point,โ€ he said, โ€œthan using a โ€˜Heil Hitlerโ€™ or Nazi salute, which as we see can be deeply offensive and trivializes the horrors of the Holocaust.โ€'

I'd say it worked pretty well. So well you had to silence the oppressor in fear of them having a point.

2018-11-11 19:09:32 UTC

Thank you, based Mikke.

2018-11-11 19:40:39 UTC

@Grenade123 Can't read your post :(
Those nice people blocked all of Euroland

2018-11-11 19:41:45 UTC

A guy at a school meeting threw up a Nazi salute to protest the authoritarian practices being suggested and implemented.

2018-11-11 19:41:50 UTC

He has been put on leave.

2018-11-11 19:54:31 UTC

@Stefan Payne can probably thank the EU for that. Basically some school professor took issue with policies that were being proposed. So he held up a Nazi salute as protest/joke. They called campus police and basically make it should like he punched someone.

2018-11-11 19:57:27 UTC

2018-11-11 21:57:46 UTC

It will go nowhere

2018-11-11 21:58:35 UTC

Although it will be interesting to see who aligns in relation to the posturing bill

2018-11-11 22:43:13 UTC

Why will it go nowhere?

2018-11-11 22:46:40 UTC

Because hopefully, most politicians realize that banning protests and boycotts is political suicide in America.

2018-11-11 23:09:23 UTC

Ahahaha. This whole thing is such a love letter it's actually hilarious. I think this is completely delusional. Anyone else's thoughts?

"
She has decisively to win those Iowa caucus-goers who have never warmed up to her. They will see her now as strong, partisan, left-leaning and all-Democratโ€”the one with the guts, experience and steely-eyed determination to defeat Mr. Trump. She has had two years to go over what she did wrong and how to take him on again.

Richard Nixon came back from his loss to John F. Kennedy in 1960 and won the presidency in 1968. He will be the model for winning again. Mrs. Clinton won't travel the country in a van with Huma Abedin this time, doing small events and retail politics. Instead she will enter through the front door, mobilizing the army of professional women behind her, leveraging her social networks, and raking in donations. She will hope to emerge as an unstoppable force to undo Mr. Trump, running on the #MeToo movement, universal health care care and gun contorl. Proud and independent, this time she will sideline with Bill and Mr. Obama, limiting their role to fundraising.

The generation of Democrats who have been waiting to take over the party from the Clintons will be fuming that she is back and stealing their show. But they revealed themselves to be bungling amateurs in the Brett Kavanaugh nomination fight, with their laughable Spartacus moments. She will trounce them. Just as Mr. Trump cleared the field, Mrs. Clinton will take down rising Democratic starts like Bowling pins. Mike Bloomberg will support her rather than run, and Joe Biden will never be able to take her on.
"

2018-11-12 01:34:13 UTC

Note: the authors of this op-ed are Hillary staffers.

2018-11-12 01:38:24 UTC

I wonder if Tucker Carlson's son would be protected from charges under the Fighting Words Doctrine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fighting_words#United_States

2018-11-12 01:40:22 UTC

Also note how the original doctrine was inspired by someone being called a "damned fascist ".

2018-11-12 01:42:58 UTC

That Hillary stuff is bullshit. Dems won't do it. Not when she keeps shooting herself in the foot.

2018-11-12 01:43:24 UTC

There are definitely Hillary partisans. Millions of them. But not tens of millions. Not nearly enough.

2018-11-12 01:44:20 UTC

@Schedrevka I wouldn't be surprised. Throwing wine is rather low on the list of things that people care about that qualify as assault (lower than spitting, which people get away with all the time). Southern culture is also more tolerant of fighting words defenses (if this applies in Northern VA, I'm unsure).

Realistically, if it goes to jury, it'll end up being politicized at this point. If I were Carlson or his son, I'd be looking into good appeals lawyers who could try and potentially nullify a hostile jury.

2018-11-12 01:53:04 UTC

Cat, since when has the lack of democratic support stopped Hillary Clinton?

2018-11-12 01:53:33 UTC

It didn't in 2016. She'll just use her political blackmail to rig the primary again.

2018-11-12 02:15:10 UTC

The superdelegates will be less of an issue in 2020

2018-11-12 02:16:20 UTC

This will make it much harder for the will of the primary/caucus voters to be supplanted by party zeitgeist

2018-11-12 02:16:54 UTC

Hillary also managed the impossible - losing to Donald Trump

2018-11-12 02:18:19 UTC

The man reveled in grabbing crotches and still managed to take the rust belt. Her shame should make Michael Dukakis' look like accidentally spilling some coffee on a table.

2018-11-12 02:18:28 UTC

That'll happen when it's patently obvious that you're way more corrupt than your competitor.

2018-11-12 02:18:49 UTC

So anyway, most democrats I know don;t want to hear about her ever again

2018-11-12 02:19:20 UTC

And I'm sure if the DNC cared about the opinion of their constituents, that would be more than enough.

2018-11-12 02:21:45 UTC

I'm pretty sure Hillary is a goner. She was a goner since 2016. The progressive activists have people higher up the oppression hierarchy that they prefer for policy (Warren or Harris). The centrists have more 'centrist' candidates to pick (Bloomberg, who was elected mayor as a Republican). The majority of the Democratic base seems tired of her. She couldn't fill a classroom on her speaking tours and collected less speaking fees than even milquetoast politicians at universities.

2018-11-12 02:23:38 UTC

She's well connected, an clearly has fans. But I expect the Democrats will probably dig out some far-leftie minority again (the activists seem to have a thing for "making history") that no one has ever heard of.

I've got a couple guesses of people it might be, but I'd rather not list names lest people get ideas. Let's just say, you probably have heard of this person by now, but never thought of them.

2018-11-12 02:28:13 UTC

No Oprah.

2018-11-12 02:28:50 UTC

Michelle Obama has about as much interest in partisan politics as I do

2018-11-12 02:29:47 UTC

Cortez is the road to Trump's 50 state strategy. *maybe VT and DC might still vote for her*

2018-11-12 02:31:27 UTC

Bloomberg could be amusing. The Dems run a billionaire dude that use to be a Republican against the Repubs billionaire dude who used to be a Democrat.

2018-11-12 02:32:44 UTC

Honestly I'd like to see some rust belt or midwest moderate. Who's the gal who just won Kansas? It's a bummer she's so new.

2018-11-12 02:33:11 UTC

Run Manchin. Brilliant.

2018-11-12 02:33:48 UTC

"Honestly, I'm kind of sick of everyone's shit and wish you people would calm down and get to work."

Trump: "Seriously, after I win, name a cabinet position, it's yours."

2018-11-12 02:35:31 UTC

After seeing how Trump treats his cabinet no sane and dignified human being would take that bet.

2018-11-12 02:37:06 UTC

Manchin also knows he'd never be able to win blue state Dems. He's unique to WV, God bless him.

2018-11-12 02:37:11 UTC

Why do you think he wants someone else so badly?

2018-11-12 02:41:09 UTC

Manchin would be hilarious. If him and Trump didn't have politics getting in the way right now, they'd actually probably be good friends.

2018-11-12 02:41:26 UTC

I don't see Oprah running, it's too dirty for her.

2018-11-12 02:41:57 UTC

Cortez *can't* run. There's a legal age limit on the presidency that she doesn't match. I was actually concerned she could be the little 2020 surprise, but she can't be.

2018-11-12 02:43:36 UTC

Bloomberg seems viable to me. But gun control would have to become a centerpiece issue. It actually could. Urban progressives love shitting on "backwards, racist, hick" rural voters.

2018-11-12 02:43:38 UTC

Yeah, some states allow you to be on the ballet if you will turn the required age by the time of inaguration... many states won't let you on the ballet period.

2018-11-12 02:44:16 UTC

President is 35. Cortez will be nowhere near that in 2020.

2018-11-12 02:44:42 UTC

I thought 36

2018-11-12 02:45:19 UTC

Age and Citizenship requirements - US Constitution, Article II, Section 1
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.

2018-11-12 02:45:42 UTC

Or so the website I pulled this off says. I don't have my pocket constitution near me at the moment.

2018-11-12 02:46:46 UTC

Ok. Which site?

2018-11-12 02:47:32 UTC

Ok.

2018-11-12 02:47:49 UTC

I was working off memory

2018-11-12 02:52:40 UTC

I actually had to look it up. I remembered it was mid 30s but not exactly what age it was.

2018-11-12 02:53:53 UTC

what'd happen if trump endorsed all the dems favorites to run against him?

2018-11-12 02:54:26 UTC

Something funny but inconsequential.

2018-11-12 02:55:13 UTC

idk, i was thinking if he went all in as a strategy it could deter democrats form voting for them and just vote trump

2018-11-12 03:01:00 UTC

The thing is that if he endorsed all of them, they'd just ignore it. He might be able to pick off one or two by working with them, but he couldn't hit all of them.

Apparently the WSJ thinks Hillary is going to run in 2020: https://www.wsj.com/articles/hillary-will-run-again-1541963599

2018-11-12 05:12:14 UTC

Everyone with a brain knows Hillary wants to run again

2018-11-12 05:12:43 UTC

and everyone with a brain knows the DNC will DNcuck to her

2018-11-12 05:13:33 UTC

The only person who has a real chance against her is Biden and he is afraid if Hillary

2018-11-12 05:13:48 UTC

OF*

2018-11-12 05:25:36 UTC

What if in 2020 Trump ran as a democrat?

2018-11-12 05:27:37 UTC

Heads would explode

2018-11-12 05:29:52 UTC

@Khanclansith Correction: Heads would implode.

2018-11-12 05:30:37 UTC

Nuclear implosion explosion

2018-11-12 05:31:10 UTC

Is an implosion even physically possible?

2018-11-12 05:47:17 UTC

if you have an area with lack of material, yes.

2018-11-12 06:08:57 UTC

"we are gonna tear down the wall"

2018-11-12 06:46:41 UTC

With what?
Concrete vs. your hands??

2018-11-12 06:46:45 UTC

Concrete probably wins

2018-11-12 07:47:28 UTC

Tell them to try their faces

2018-11-12 15:28:15 UTC

Palestinians appear to be firing rockets in large volleys in an attempt to saturate the Israeli C-RAM systems.

2018-11-12 15:28:39 UTC

and it appears to be working

2018-11-12 16:03:11 UTC

rockets of peace

2018-11-12 16:03:16 UTC

they are learning from america

2018-11-12 16:18:41 UTC

How so?

2018-11-12 16:20:10 UTC

because our governments idea of bring "peace" is bombing random places and installing dictators.

2018-11-12 16:23:02 UTC

Ahhhh

2018-11-12 16:23:26 UTC

Except when we take those dictators out with no replacement plan.

2018-11-12 16:23:38 UTC

Cough cough Iraq cough

2018-11-12 16:24:04 UTC

we like to think we know better but do we really know anything besides how to bomb people?

2018-11-12 16:25:02 UTC

Not really

2018-11-12 16:25:16 UTC

Not recently at least

2018-11-12 16:25:29 UTC

Not since Kissinger

2018-11-12 16:26:12 UTC

We lost our touch with Johnson.

2018-11-12 16:26:32 UTC

Kissinger at least was a pragmatist

2018-11-12 16:26:46 UTC

typical Americans. destroy the wall, don't bother figuring out if its load bearing. Then blame someone else when the building falls down

2018-11-12 16:26:47 UTC

And then it went to shit

2018-11-12 16:26:59 UTC

Heh

2018-11-12 16:27:30 UTC

then bomb them for causing the building to fall down

2018-11-12 17:02:26 UTC

I've seen the iron dome in action many times. It's pretty cool.

2018-11-12 17:02:43 UTC

Don't think I've ever seen them fire that many before.

2018-11-12 17:04:01 UTC

"A mortar fired from Gaza directly struck a bus in the southern Israeli regional council of Sha'ar Hanegev, severely wounding a 19-year-old Israeli. The wounded man was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva, along with the 25-year-old driver, who suffered from shock. "

2018-11-12 17:04:06 UTC

guess its time for war?

2018-11-12 17:05:58 UTC

Sadly that is about everyday in Isreal

2018-11-12 17:07:20 UTC

It happens so often that it's hard to know if it will be war or not.

2018-11-12 17:07:28 UTC

not at this volume with actual civilians behing hit though?

2018-11-12 17:07:50 UTC

i thought it was just the odd rocket here and there, sometimes hits empty buildings becausep eople get too shelters in time

2018-11-12 17:08:36 UTC

Still hard to say for sure.

2018-11-12 17:10:34 UTC

yeah its hard to say, but i'd wager if the *fireworks* don't let up israel will go all in again.

2018-11-12 17:10:56 UTC

It's been long overdue for sure.

2018-11-12 17:11:18 UTC

Usually wars only happen in the summer.

2018-11-12 17:11:53 UTC

Ny post is semi reliable but definitely right leaning. So take it with a grain of salt.

2018-11-12 17:14:16 UTC

Alyssa Milano did refuse to attend the women's March due to anti semitism though. So she probably knows better than the media what the other leaders think.

2018-11-12 17:58:48 UTC

Israel getting hit with rockets is basically a daily occurrence. What is abnormal is the volume and concentration of rocket fire. 100+ rockets and mortars all fired in a short time all at the same rough area was enough to saturate Israeli C-RAM, which is why they actually hit stuff this time.

2018-11-12 18:48:19 UTC

It just gives israel a reason to go back into palestine

2018-11-12 18:48:45 UTC

Hamas is in control now and they will escalate the conflict because its in their intrest to do so

2018-11-12 18:49:51 UTC

The goal is to provke a retaliatory strike which kills civilians. Thus israel becomes more hated internationally plus hamas gains new followers

2018-11-12 18:56:23 UTC

BREAKING NEWS: Stan Lee has passed on. Too many legends has passed in the past 5 years it's like God is punishing us.

2018-11-12 18:56:53 UTC

Got there before you lol

2018-11-12 18:59:23 UTC

95 is pretty good though

2018-11-12 19:00:10 UTC

๐Ÿ‡ซ

2018-11-12 19:02:02 UTC

He could of gone to 100 if it wasn't for the undue stress of gold digging people

2018-11-12 20:26:29 UTC

Apparently the largest number of rockets fired in a single day.

2018-11-12 21:17:41 UTC

Ah, yes, because an organisation revolving around the worship of a middle-eastern asexual isn't intersectional enough

2018-11-12 23:04:51 UTC

If only there were some sort of system where men and women could choose work together to pool their resources for the betterment of their children. ๐Ÿค”

2018-11-12 23:44:54 UTC

friend of mine shared this

2018-11-12 23:48:41 UTC

2018-11-12 23:48:54 UTC

Ukraine has a real gucked up history with the NAZIs

2018-11-12 23:53:29 UTC

Hey we gave arms to ISIS

2018-11-12 23:53:33 UTC

why not train Neo Nazis

2018-11-12 23:53:53 UTC

not going back to Isolationism after WW2 was a mistake.

2018-11-12 23:55:40 UTC

we trained the Taliban so this isnt entirely surprising

2018-11-12 23:56:10 UTC

An Ukrainain officer explained it to me like this, "To the Ukrainains the Soviets and the NAZI were just as bad as each other, so they aren't viewed as differently as the Americans do."

2018-11-12 23:56:21 UTC

United States Foreign Policy Causing Problems for later decades since the early 1900s

2018-11-12 23:57:17 UTC

The US didn't train the Taliban, we trained the trainers of the Taliban after the Soviet War ended.
