People who have radically different modes of cognition from one another may not be able to operate in the same philosophical framework. If one believes that the world is socially constructed, a philosophy that is libertarian isn't going to work for you because if others are free to believe what they choose they might invalidate your existence.

But I guess on the other hand if one believes in an external objective reality that exists independent of oneself, one has to make a leap of faith that the information available about that reality is accurate. Like Mickey Mouse said: 'hypocrite that you are, for you to trust the chemicals in your brain to tell you that they are chemicals'

hey guys, does anybody know a good way to look up old articles? Searchable Archives dating back a decade or so?

im trying to find some articles from about 2008 related to traffic safety in very different towns

iirc there was a town called "Slough" that ran a traffic experiment (at the time was named "Safety Town" iirc), likewise across the pond another town named "Drachten" ran a opposing traffic experiment (Slough added signage and increased rules, Drachten did the opposite.), Drachtens approach by all metrics appeared to have won out, massively while Slough held and i believe still has one of the highest accident rates in its region.
Various articles addressed reasons this happened but although i can find articles relating to Drachtens benefits, i cannot find articles which point out Slough's Faults (To the contrary i can find a page that says the "Safety Town" experiment was a success, when its accident rates clearly prove it is not.) So thus im trying to find articles that i think are not listed anymore due to being 10+ years old
