Also i like having medical care certain everywhere over eu too
But yeah total shit dude
๐
Eu does lots of things right tbh
It does lots of things bad too
But seeing only half picture is not a way to have reasonable view on things imo
not saying that the organization is bad
its just now its not needed
like whats the point anymore?
Depends on what you want personaly
Its great for business supply chains for one thing
So great in fact that they grown dependent on it
and then the us cuts off trade from germany
That was part of the problem with brexit
i mean they dont need to be part of them anymore afaik
Idk imo there is more advantages then disadvantages to beeing a member
Also thanks to populist revolt it seems eu will strengthen borders which will help with mogrant crissis
Only way for eu to fall apart is if eurozone blows up imo
which it will
more and more are leaving
And it would have to be bigger shitstorm then the last financial crisis
danm straight
and now we get soft brexit
or none at all
ye
Well you were destined to soft brexit the moment you ask for no border in ireland
Thats what annoys me about brexiters
None of them admited this
of course not
out of sight out of mind
Yeah pretty much
Rn their strategy is to hope for no deal hard brexit
and well it worked
Which will mean hard border
With them saying its not their fault
The problem is the 52% who voted for brexit didnt voted for no deal brexit
its not their fault ๐คฃ
lets face it
the uk is done
I doubt you would get 40% for that
Well in a way it is
huh?
is that a typo?
What is ?
```The problem is the 52% who voted for brexit didnt voted for bo deal brexit
```
you see it there?
i will say it again and again
everybody was missinformed about brexit
even the brexiters
The promise wasnt no deal brexit when they voted for it
Is what i mean
No deal brexit is extreme option
Not the prefered one
pretty sure most brexiters just wanted control of their country again
what that looks like is not something they were worried about, but basically not wanting to be subservient to another power
*could* be wrong
Yeah but that phrase can have different meanings to different ppl
Like i dont think my country is subservient to eu for example
At least have not noticed it so far
but it is
My country is czech rep
oh
well, I meant the UK
but sure
Just to be sure we talking same one lol
yeah
my appologies
and yes
I just assumed your country
fight me
Nah i dont care
๐
I dont realy know about uk being subservient either
But i guess its all how you define things
Why do I get the feeling with the Hard/Soft/No Brexit, The current state of free speech, and Article 13, we are looking at a V for Vendetta type situation in England?
Sitting here in the US It feels like we are a couple mass murder/terrorist/false flag attacks away from permanent martial law.
I told tim to keep fly ticket handy
Lol
Anything can happen
There is very real split between remain and leave
I think that is the problem. Currently stability isn't certain.
And its not getting any smaller
Its possible there can be huge country wide protests if may carries on with her current plan
I think ppl are w8tin for eu response
Because eu will not accept current proposal
But yeah its building up
Well.. Whatever happens over in Europe and the UK, eventually filters over to the US, so I guess "we live in interesting times"
Yep
Instead of leaving the eu the uk should work to reform it because the concept is a good one - its just the execution that sucks
Reforming eu is extremely hard to do tho
What you need is ppl movement spreading across borders
Like acta protests
They were effective because they spread all through the eu
One country on its own cant realy reform much at this point
You can't reform the EU because all of the EU laws are written by the executive in the European Commission - which is a bunch of unelected bureaucrats and civil servants.
Therefore the commission decides the direction of the EU.
Yeah this is nice show of the nararive power
And who apoints those bureaucrats ?
they appoint themselves...
No
They dont lol
They are appointed by elected representatives of eu countries
That much should be obvious
Ok but the executive is not appointed by MEPs.
Which executive ?
You mean eu commission?
Members of eu commission are appointed by member states
Each state appoints one
And then they grill them
the EU probably wont work because you're trying to align multiple systems of goverments, cultures, etc under a single umbrella
this was bound to happen once the honeymoon period was over
Well we will see
Its true there is some cultural friction rn
With east and west seeing things differently
But i think you can still talk things out
perhaps, but its much easier to talk things out as sovereign nations when you can go your own ways when you disagree, instead of being highly entangled
the best part of negotiations is being able to walk away
right now, you don't have that with the EU outside of a very intricate process (which has never happened before)
Well my country refused refugees
And got away with it

The music really ruins it.
yo
anyone knows how to look up if a person was to testify in a case?
Always eating their own.
๐ intersectionality
Tbh this conflict has quite a history
Yep, just look at the roots of the term 'womyn' which was made by TERFs. That's why you'll see womxn used sometimes.
Nigel Farage says he will seek to return to his former position as the leader of Ukip โif Article 50 is suspended or delayedโ. In an article for the Daily Telegraph, he writes:
Hold on !
Isnt sargon supposed to be the next leader of ukip ?
Wtf !
๐คฃ
I missed this and now sure how else might have, but a complete alternative viewpoint of Article 13
basically the complete opposite here in the US
wait so i can use photos i find for my own gain?
i think the most damning piece is that 1/3 of the times the guy got paid for that image, was after the "infringement", which was used more for the fact it portrayed (aka showing a location with little to no alteration), than any creative part of it. So its hard to him to claim he was hurt financially. Also that it was taken down near immediately as soon as he made it clear it was his work.
also he had uploaded twice, once was without any copyright mark
which shows DMCA works
which makes the claim the company made: that is didn't know it was copyrighted, very plausible
its not like they necessarily cropped out a watermark
also it was an ad, so they didn't get any direct monetary compensation, if anything they lost money. and it was a cropped tiny piece of the whole overall image
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/07/09/manafort-filing-unmasks-doj-meeting-with-ap-reporters-questions-if-grand-jury-secrecy-violated.html Can the collusion between the anti-Trump government insiders and MSM be any more blatant than this? Where does 'due process and civil rights' fit into this equation?
So I just watched Timโs new video on secret journalist groups. He mentioned GamerGate. He says something about a larger project on the subject. Heโs mentioned in the past that he was thinking about doing a GG documentary. You guys think this is it?
just ask him
lol
I thought he may have already answered this. I havenโt been paying close attention to this sever in the past few days @Ghostler . I just threw the question in general with him tagged.
blasphemy you must pay close attention
@Timcast can you cover this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nJcl4HAE68
not really his style, but I'll leave him to comment
he covers more of the culture war than politics, especially overseas politics
Elon Musk developed a submarine to help the children trapped in that cave in Thailand.
And people are bitching about it being a 'publicity stunt'.
Wasnt that fake news ?
Did it work, I heard they were being rescued but didn' tknow if he ended up being invovled?
The beheading i mean
^
@LotheronPrime yeah i know he doesn't cover much foreign stuff
Also that elon musk thing was a stunt but he offered help
yeah that's what I thought
And there is nothing wrong about it
im not sure if he actually was able to help out
its like Rodman going to NK ::
๐
lol
good gesture, but end the end, pointless
He's reporting that it's on site if it's needed.
Except Rodman could rebound back in his prime ๐
and Musk sent his car into space
HEY YOOO LMAO
To call building a submarine from scratch, testing it, and shipping it to a site where it can be useful a publicity stunt is kind of demeaning to the gesture.
Kind of reductive.
didn't say it was that
buuut, did say end the end pointless
Zutt did.
at least until now
that could change at any moment
well they got 8 kids out already out of .... 13 i believe right ?
I mean... if you've got multiple teams brainstorming solutions to a problem
If only one solution gets used, do you tell the other teams to fuck off?
nope
Because people are essentially telling Elon Musk to fuck off.
and also, this happens often enough
could be useful in the future
That's the point, people are berating Musk for trying. :/
isn't it more like the msm is attacking musk ?
probably
msm hates him now
"Who do you think controls the media?"
he turned on them
I used to like Joshua Topolsky
back when he was at engadget
the engadgt ddude
yeah i memba wen engadget was gud
and verge wasn't too bad either when he and his pals started that
then they jumped on apple's dick and shit on android
this was back before reddit existed and back in the slashdot days
digg days
oh shit digg by whats his name kevin rose
he used to be on .... The Screen Savers right ?
those were the tech days .... back when politics were kept seperate from the tech
Still, looks like the people who are cynical about it are the minority.
i love how people are bitching at musk, who offered to help, was brain storming different solutions, and literally built a fucking sub in like 2 days. Which is an incredible feat if it actually works and don't just like sink.
yeah who can bitch about that
they're just envious
if it was just a publicity stunt that might have even had a shot of working, thats 110% better than most publicity stunts pulled
now, if the sub is a piece of shit that doesn't do squat, then yeah, bitch a bit
honestly
JBP latest video with JRE
is his best long form ever
his points are succint
and he covers this
the value pyramid with envy, etc
it's easier to bring others down than you improve yourself
fuggit
Nah frabkly this is probably biggest atention story of current year
Ppl want those kids to be saved
I expect they dont realy care for elon musks intentions
Besides from his initial response it seems to me he was fascinated by the technical difficulties of the problem
Thats why he involved himself
there is only a few kids left to be safe
this didn't even happen in Austin, I went to that lecture
>try
like an actual attempt?
yeah. there wasn't even an attempt in Austin which is strange that it's SA
Is this the new "civil war" that they are talking about?
yes
civility literally out the window
also the hole looks like pikachu
omg lol
so true
these radicalized pokemans need to be stahped
pokemon go to the polls
i just told my brother that and he agreed
That's not a pikachu, that's a mimikyu
lel
I stand by my comments on the star wars movie being a cucky Mc Cuck face.
Solo however, I thought was good. The bot L3 was an sjw, but it seemed more like a parody, nobody gave it the time of day and ignored its shit, joking about wiping it's memory. Han was being more traditional bloke than cuck by wanting to save his bitch. The black dude never admitted to robot sex, it was the bot saying that shit, and his emotions towards the bots death is equal to getting ya laptop smashed in half. Everyone acted like cunts as you would expect, unlike starwars where they all acted like snowflake lovers. The only character out of place was the rebellion girl, maybe a goth bitch or older storn woman would have suited better than a typical teen girl.
OK, but regardless of any of that I feel the need to point out just how goddamn stupid it is that they named a droid L3-37. Jesus Christ, it's 2018. Did they really think they were being hip with the nerds on that one? How did no one speak up and tell them how bad of an idea that was?
I don't get the reference :(
<---- this guy is sometimes mentally slow
Old hackerspeak for 'elite'. Then used by gamers in the late 90's.
Just some REALLY outdated slang
