2018-01-07 00:23:07 UTC

I think about 120 at the end

2018-01-07 00:23:11 UTC

@AC says sub to PewDiePie Not yet. I think the admins and/or Tim need to decide on them

2018-01-07 00:23:17 UTC

It was like 20 when I joined it

2018-01-07 00:23:21 UTC

Hmm

2018-01-07 00:23:29 UTC

Well I'm a admin a discord over 330 people

2018-01-07 00:23:52 UTC

It also depends on the people if they are spergs or not

2018-01-07 00:23:54 UTC

My server has 8 members, a fake test member that I registered to figure out permissions with, and a bot

2018-01-07 00:24:09 UTC

Revan that's called an alt

2018-01-07 00:24:11 UTC

or a sock

2018-01-07 00:24:25 UTC

Yeah

2018-01-07 00:24:34 UTC

Hello

2018-01-07 00:24:42 UTC

What's your sever about Jihad?

2018-01-07 00:24:49 UTC

Hello Weeb

2018-01-07 00:25:31 UTC

We get a random amount of people in text but we always have like 10 people in voice

2018-01-07 00:25:35 UTC

I'm looking for politics servers that aren't alt-right hate servers

2018-01-07 00:25:35 UTC

@AC says sub to PewDiePie Yeah, but I don't use it as an alt or a sock

2018-01-07 00:25:42 UTC

Surprised there isn't more people on this server

2018-01-07 00:25:43 UTC

I use it purely to test permissions for roles

2018-01-07 00:26:07 UTC

The server is manly for gaming

2018-01-07 00:26:10 UTC

So yeah

2018-01-07 00:26:13 UTC

@Converted Weeb there's 87 online and he just opened it

2018-01-07 00:26:19 UTC

That's a lot

2018-01-07 00:26:24 UTC

Ehh

2018-01-07 00:26:34 UTC

Well, it's been open for a little over a day now

2018-01-07 00:26:36 UTC

@Revan that's what an alt is

2018-01-07 00:26:40 UTC

Youtubers get a lot of people over a short amount of time when opening

2018-01-07 00:26:41 UTC

True true

2018-01-07 00:26:52 UTC

There's probably another 200 or more offline

2018-01-07 00:27:03 UTC

Yeah

2018-01-07 00:27:07 UTC

Lets see

2018-01-07 00:27:10 UTC

The roles are messed up a bit

2018-01-07 00:27:17 UTC

171 members

2018-01-07 00:27:24 UTC

@AC says sub to PewDiePie I think the typical definition of an "alt" is a profile that most people don't know to link to you so that you can say controversial things and people won't get angry with you in particular

2018-01-07 00:27:33 UTC

Because one can change it to where you can see people when they are offline

2018-01-07 00:27:41 UTC

@Revan that's a sock

2018-01-07 00:27:59 UTC

Alt is any other account applies to socks and alts

2018-01-07 00:28:08 UTC

alte socken?

2018-01-07 00:28:10 UTC

usually alt is good and sock is malicious

2018-01-07 00:28:19 UTC

Alt is like people make account and almost does the same thing as the old account

2018-01-07 00:28:20 UTC

but people use both for both

2018-01-07 00:28:44 UTC

If you get banned you make an alt to rejoin

2018-01-07 00:28:53 UTC

yeah like that's a sock

2018-01-07 00:28:59 UTC

but doesn't work on Discord

2018-01-07 00:29:06 UTC

the bans are by IP

2018-01-07 00:29:27 UTC

Well if you report it

2018-01-07 00:29:44 UTC

no

2018-01-07 00:29:54 UTC

the software bans the IP from that server

2018-01-07 00:30:01 UTC

there are workarounds but yeah

2018-01-07 00:30:25 UTC

People were able to enter after getting banned less than a minute

2018-01-07 00:30:46 UTC

They probably used a VPN

2018-01-07 00:30:56 UTC

true

2018-01-07 00:30:59 UTC

or rejoin with phone

2018-01-07 00:31:09 UTC

which is another IP if you're not on your network

2018-01-07 00:31:20 UTC

I like Teamspeak as we can tell if IP is a VPN or not

2018-01-07 00:31:58 UTC

and since this is the Tim Pool server, remember he interviewed his cute brother who talked about working this kinda stuff on Reddit

2018-01-07 00:32:30 UTC

Yeah I remember him interviewing his borther

2018-01-07 00:32:55 UTC

borther kek

2018-01-07 00:33:37 UTC

He should rename this "beanie server" kek

2018-01-07 00:34:34 UTC

I think just having the site name is better as he is part of it

2018-01-07 00:38:20 UTC

2018-01-07 00:38:20 UTC

2018-01-07 00:41:26 UTC

<:takeaseat:295979511491723264>

2018-01-07 01:00:32 UTC

So what other YT channels to people watch?

2018-01-07 01:09:40 UTC

2018-01-07 01:14:16 UTC

Watching DeFraco right now, and hating Logan Paul.

2018-01-07 01:16:54 UTC

Well I say its fake and shouldn't be trying to fake it if he already have a huge fan base

2018-01-07 01:21:26 UTC

Well, I find he's pretty fake to begin with, and thats how he gets so many fans.

2018-01-07 01:24:42 UTC

Yeah but think again his fan base is like Justin Bieber's old fan base full of pre teens

2018-01-07 01:26:13 UTC

True, they aren't looking for genuine and thought provoking. They only want mindless entertainment, and he provides it.

2018-01-07 01:30:10 UTC

I do think it's sad that Felix became an instant pariah though when he made a joke, and that Logan is still a champ to YouTube after this.

2018-01-07 01:31:46 UTC

Well don't all humans like mindless entertainment

2018-01-07 01:32:21 UTC

It's the reason why sports like MMA and American Football are so popular

2018-01-07 01:32:31 UTC

Sometimes. Logan seems to do it at other people's expense though.

2018-01-07 01:32:35 UTC

Whose base are airhead pre-teens

2018-01-07 01:32:42 UTC

True true

2018-01-07 01:32:57 UTC

But the question is?

2018-01-07 01:33:02 UTC

Who do you blame

2018-01-07 01:33:10 UTC

But I'm no pre-teen

2018-01-07 01:33:20 UTC

The consumer or the producer?

2018-01-07 01:33:25 UTC

I blame the Russians

2018-01-07 01:33:33 UTC

Damn Russian bots

2018-01-07 01:33:46 UTC

They made the Paul brothers popular

2018-01-07 01:33:57 UTC

Both, but surely the producer has the most control over the content

2018-01-07 01:34:25 UTC

satisfying a niche isn't always a good thing.

2018-01-07 01:34:44 UTC

lol

2018-01-07 01:35:17 UTC

True

2018-01-07 01:35:50 UTC

Russia Russia Russia

2018-01-07 01:35:57 UTC

@Converted Weeb How is American football mindless entertainment?

2018-01-07 01:36:01 UTC

Everyone Hillary doesn't like is Russia

2018-01-07 01:36:07 UTC

lol

2018-01-07 01:36:41 UTC

My last video was called Russia! Russia! Russia!

2018-01-07 01:37:20 UTC

MMA and football both take a lot of talent and thought behind what they practice. I wouldn't say either of them were mindless.

2018-01-07 01:37:48 UTC

I'm talking watching it

2018-01-07 01:38:22 UTC

Watching someone get the shit beat out of them is mindless (but fun mind you) entertainment

2018-01-07 01:41:47 UTC

I'll say on the surface it is, and for many viewers it is. However, if you are really into the sport, and actually have knowledge about what they are doing, like their footwork, or how they grip someone or how they move to take someone off their feet. There is a lot of physics involved in that, and those competitors are, or at least have, while practicing, thought about those things.

2018-01-07 01:46:13 UTC

I know I'm one of those who like to watch MMA and really enjoy when they are grapling on the ground. Many viewers don't enjoy that chess match, but thats really what it is. A challenge between 2 people trying out smart their opponent, and use tactics that put them into a better position to overcome any advantage their opponent might have.

2018-01-07 02:49:10 UTC

As a kid who's dad was a football coach, I can say with confidence theres a hell of a lot more to football than "mindless entertainment." My father and Uncle have gotten into arguements about formations and such I don't even understand.

2018-01-07 02:59:14 UTC

Football is a very tactical game, much like chess, and like others i enjoy watching the games with close scores and alot at stake. However, we (the general public) need to understand there is a time and place for that entertainment. The amount of effort we put into watching these games should also be put into watching our government and social structure. I'm sad to say that, although there are many that do so, the amount of individuals truly educated as to the events happening around them is far lower than what we must have inorder to defend our given liberties.
