oh my god
5g?
fuck
guys, in that infowars interview on the front page of the channel
They had adopted cell phone coverage a little later, which resulted in their 1st tier cities actually having better and more modern coverage.
he's wearing a speedo
or is that a huge can of worms?
For example, the coverage in Shenzhen is really good and even more modern than in some parts of America.
In America, because they are often first adopters, it can also happen that some infrastructure takes longer to update.
developing countries usually get better stuff
when they actually develop it ;^)
lol
Appairently my personality type is ENTJ
yeah, it's cheaper to start over than to redo
whcih is extremely rae among my age group
It's a bit like the effect of being second adopter. You get to skip the early hurdles.
I remember SerpentZA having made a very good video about this. For those who don't know him, he is one of the first and longest standing English speaking YouTubers in China, originally from South Africa, a bit of a refugee.
I'll look him up. Thanks ๐
Okay.
Stay awesome.
I think most of the people who watch tim are people who used to be leftists
and have been kicked out when the left turned super cult mode
so we like hearing the perspective of someone who's gone through the same
Tim claims to still be on the left.
tim is losing faith :v
By sane standards, he still is, and so are most of us.
I don't believe Tim is on the left
in every video i feed on his suffering
His videos are constantly "The left is losing", "Why the right is winning" etc
Constantly
But, I don't like the left/right dichotomy very much anyway. I think most people would be hard pressed to define who would be center and what is left or right.
he just want sane left that cares about the poor
not 1/1024 indians :3
he's losing faith as am I
In particular, considering the origin of those terms, it referred to the general alignment during the French Revolution, in terms of who was on the side of monarchy and who was not.
the labels are useless
atheists conservatives ๐๐ฟ
I think a better distinction nowadays is a dichotomy between moralizing busy body and libertarian.
Or even libertarian and authoritarian.
I was wondering if conservatives are just liberals from past generations
holding onto whatever ideals were liberal at the time
Strictly speaking, it would make more sense to place the authoritarians on the right wing (with the monarchs of olden days and centralization of power) and us on the left, which would also align the term with liberal, in the way it was used in Britain and in its original meaning.
they didn't get on the 72 genders hype train and got ditched ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
banding together with other people trying to conserve some sense of sanity
Strictly speaking, we are the liberals, we are on the left - as are libertarians - and Antifa are on the right.
the 72 genders hype train was where I jumped ship
antifa more like fa
I think, one of the first steps of bringing sanity back to politics would be to stop misusing these terms, because they let people claim ownership of bodies of thought that they have no claim to.
there's no talking to these people
labels are counterproductive as fuck
No, they are not.
if you mention anything that goes against their world view they bring out the bullhorns and go full NPC attack mode
Misused labels are counterproductive.
Shorthands and categories are one of the most fundamental ways to communicate.
they misuse all labels
hell they don't even know what man and woman is anymore
And the better we communicate, the better we can solve an issue.
I think that the precision of a solution is predicated on the precision to which the problem has been articulated.
if you guys didn't get it the number 5 is the numerical value for the roman numeral V.
true, but the magic of labels is to be reductive by nature
maybe we need better labels ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
You probably have a good basis to criticize categories. If they are overextended, they cease to be useful, just as analogies taken too far lose their use.
Part of the problem, I think (could be wrong) is that gov't can't look at individuals...they have to look at groups and make policy based on that - yes, there ARE exceptions, but the policy should be for the majority.
"WHY DON'T YOU JUST USE LABELS PEOPLE WANT LIKE A DECENT HUMAN FUCKING BEING YOU COMPLETE PILE OF DOG SHIT" <:NPC:500042527231967262>
*1 million twitter upvotes*
i identify as the state of oregon <:NPC:500042527231967262>
Take, for instance, the craziness about the gender thing.... Truly, it affects less than 3% of the population. It's not something that gov't should even be involved with.
I IDENTIFY AS A MOTHER FUCKING ORANGUTAN
But people nowadays are too quick to dismiss useful categories. One of the arguments why gender is supposed to be fluent or a social construct is because there are grey zones or transitions between them. But so there are transitions between red and blue.
Red and blue are categories. They categorize a section of the visible spectrum of light into a category that makes it easy to communicate. Everybody knows what you mean when you say "red" or "blue".
Yet, there are transitions and gradients between red and blue. There is purple, for example.
Does that therefor mean that red and blue do not exist?
Does it mean that the categories red and blue are useless?
USE MY "OOH OOH" PRONOUNS YOU BIGGET <:NPC:500042527231967262>
inb4 ian miles gets banned for hate speech
Hey
I am surprised Ian Miles Cheong has been on Twitter as long as he has been.
Look at this fucking idiot
Whoโs that?
I wanna know
Elfwick had been banned way before him, and he had always been more careful about his satire than Ian even.
white people
amirite
"lass and not a cuck"
Eh, that's silly. You already paid for it. It's good ice cream. Eat it.
tbh that guy is probably a troll
did he just describe a male? but the title is female
I can appreciate the gesture, though.
let's buy some more ice cream so we can throw it out
this will fucking show them
^
That's actually how some boycotts are run nowadays.
you might as well eat it
@Timcast Ben and Jerryโs is expensive and by golly I really like the really chocolatey and red velvet flavors so these idiots going around tossing this expensive ice cream in the trash make me sick. You sir, have rattled my chains.
the beauty about not giving a shit is being able to buy all these amazing products within the free market and enjoying them regardless of which shit ideology brand they follow
(pls give thumbs up to my boycott facebook photos)
Yes, Ben & Jerry's is tasty. Also, I even still like Colbert. He is one of the least unfunny of the lefty comedians.
I don't even like ice cream
their ice cream is *not* worth the price
I watched him too long. I guess I am kind of attached to Colbert. It's one of the few leftist habits I still hang on to.
Colbert was only funny on the colbert report. At least then he attempted to understand right wing positions.
I donโt like jimmy Fallonโs flavor
Cookie dough and chocolate ice cream donโt mix
But, I avoid watching him now, because I want to keep the good memories alive. It's like a retro video game you are fond of:
You want to hold it in good memory, but you don't want to play it, because then you would see how awful it looks now.
Colbert is my Zelda on NES.
^
god bless memes
Fits pretty well imo
The memes will set us free boiz
Itโs a word
we used to watch ironic Stephen Colbert in my civics class in hs
>unbiased education
I used to watch ironic stephen unironically
now I watch unironic stephen ironically
Do you guys remember the Asian SJW who tried to get Colbert banned?
You'd think that would have left him more opposed to PC culture.
I think I found out I was a conservative when I expanded and saw how much these fucking idiots were acting shortly before and after the trump election
And I havenโt felt stressed about politics since then
no it just makes him more terrified
and cave in more
to say what is needed to be said for group think talk so he can get his npc books for serving the npcs up their npc programming
Wow, I found this guy on Twitter who has all kinds of awards.
Tree of Life Award by the Jewish National Fund (1983)
I really think John Stewart is hardcore anti sjw and won't come out against it out of fear
Muhammad Ali Entrepreneur Award (2007)
Friends of Zion Award by The Friends of Zion Museum (2017)
John Stewart would be a huge win for the culture war
Ellis Island Medal of Honor in celebration of "patriotism, tolerance, brotherhood and diversity" (1986)
@Beef Taquitos too late lol :^)
Dang, who is this guy?
John Stewart needs to come back and fight against the NPCs.
A crusader for the old left in this culture war.
Those are TONS of progressive awards. Who is this person?
Oh, that's Donald Trump.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_honors_and_awards_received_by_Donald_Trump
Trollol.
I miss the days where I could curl up on the bed and read fiction novels without having to think about political grievances.
An ideal world, the US has a red wave in the midterms, NPCs step up their rhetoric and in 2020 there is a red tsunami. Now that would seriously create a 404 error
Me too.
I rather read Isaac Asimov than have to worry if civil war breaks out tomorrow.
yeah you better be reading a fiction that puts people of color and females in positions of power you bigot
i'm a fucking peasant from across the big pond
i'm not giving them anything :^)
But then again, having an actual war on my hands, like Vietnam, and being drafted - that would suck. By the way, only the "privileged" men had the draft.
The Selective Service Act: all males up to the age of 25 have to register.
it's our "mail dick privilege" to go sacrifice ourselves to protect these women
SILENCE IS VIOLENCE
Upheld in 2016 by the US Senate. How progressive. How equal fo them.
silencing people is actually violence <:TimThink:482277772497125378>
Feminism is one gigantic hypocrisy. I cringe whenever Tim says he's a feminist.
apparently not anymore
I downloader the neon demon soundtrack and my lock screen is stuck as this now lol
Heh.
jews
Is that Android?
Or iOS?
as far as the eye can see
jews everywhere
feminism is yet another of those labels that covers pretty decent chicks and angsty angry cunts ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
not really
I don't want it to refer to people, but ideas.
Feminist is a person, feminism is an idea.
most decent chicks no longer adopt the term feminist because of how toxic it's gotten
Yes,but they are feminists for all intents and purposes.
Nah, there are differences between feminism and 3rd wave. You just look for the women running in the opposite direction
hello
most people are feminists
admitting what the feminists have turned into is a tough pill to swallow no matter how relaxed your throat is
no one really actually hates women
except maybe some incels somewhere with an ar15 in their school lunch box
# not all incels
I don't think even the first wave of feminism was about equality.
What did they campaign for?
Voting rights.
What did men have to do to vote? Give their life in the defense of their country.
It was never, ever about equality.
Men died for the vote - women cried for the vote.
@Undead Mockingbird Android
*Some,* I imagine are good people
I think cried is an understatement
i see you're currently talking about the usual topic huh
it's the most pressing topic at hand
Then came the bra burning in 2nd wave @Undead Mockingbird
that's putting it too lightly.
Feminism, no matter what wave, was never about equality - from the Suffragets, throughout the White Feather Movement, to modern day feminism. It was never, ever about equality.
This is why I will always, always, always oppose feminism, in all its forms.
There are some feminists I can actually agree and respect
I don't oppose equal opportunity for women.
Like Susan B anthony
and Christine Paglia
Have you witnessed how some women get the shrill voice when they don't get what they want? *that is not a fun thing to be around even for a minute*
Anyone who still thinks that first wave feminism was good should read this book:
https://www.amazon.com/Feminist-Lie-Never-About-Equality-ebook/dp/B071SG95CN
Not the movement itself though
"CHristine blazy ford is a nationaL HerO" <:NPC:500042527231967262>
service guarantees citizenship :^)
christine paglia wanted to be able to do things men did
they want equal rights not equal responsibility
I don't think anyone thinks first wave was good. They were basically terrorists in dresses
on the same terms
not with special consideration
I don't mind women having equal rights.
Im totally fine with that
Equal rights is not equal when your responsibilities are not equal.
yes
But I do think there were some good arguments to come out of second wave. I'm fully behind equality
I don't mind.
but thats where paglia is different
We lot crippled people vote
Two people who get $10 per hour are not equal when one works half as much.
why not let women vote
That is not equality.
she wanted the right to take on that responsability
not like today
We let welfare recipients vote
why not women
where its all about the pandering and nothing about the responsabilities
hmm
when things go wrong just blame men -feminsits 2018
equal rights are equal regardless of responsibility.
That is also why I absolutely loathe the usage of "equality" when describing communism:
If you give people who are not equal the same rewards, you are rewarding the one who worked least most.
That is not equality and it is not fairness.
Do rich people get more rights because they adopt more responsibility? No.
but it is in outcome
As ex-military, I served on the front line with good women who could put as much in as the guys, in fact more in some cases
Do poor people get less rights because they can't even be responsible for themselves? No.
No
Yes. Pay all your employees $20/h regardless of how much they work, and see how well morality will fare.
Equal rights are ***equal*** regardless of individual competence or responsibility.
I would rather stay home raising the kids than work at a job like that
raising kids doesn't pay much tho
They can only "get away with murder" because they can afford better lawyers. Affording something is not the same as having a right to something. The poor have just as much of a right to hire the same lawyers.
I would rather not be able to vote than take a bullet to the head.
*satisfaction*
Sorry, but I just don't think that's oppression.
Access to something is not a right jesus christ.
Accessing something and having rights to something are different.
Everyone has the same rights to purchase the same thing.
Wait, voting is a right. Let's not nitpick terms into uselessness.
what?
Now different people have different access to being able to purchase those things. That doesn't mean they have "less rights."
Putting words into someone's mouth is both intellectually dishonest and a lazy way to debate.
I am going to bow out if we are getting lost in discussing the most basic terms again.
Do better @Beef Taquitos
Have you read anything I said.
I said having access to something within the free market is not the same thing as having a right to do something.
Voting doesn't exist within the free market.
Lawyers do.
Rich people affording better lawyers is not a "superior right."
It's like talking to a wall.
Do you lack basic comprehension?
am i witnessing an NPC battle
Taquitos . . . why are you labeling voting like having access?
to me, voting was explained as you owning your vote
```diff
+a wild npc has appeared.
-data input not compatible with programing
-unable to comprehend inputted responses
-Engage target```
i'm not sure how it can be seen as somehow 'borrowing' a vote
@Beef Taquitos I think the point he is making is like - You have the "right" to healthcare but the level of care and access is different for each person and not a "right"
It's equal rights however it's not equal responsibility.
yeah sorry my words can't reach your programming
god forbid
Voting requirements were trucated to allow women as it previously required signing up for the draft. The problem here, is that women should have the right to vote, but I also don't think the requirements should have been lowered. Not helpful for a good decision
>>>
If men have to sign up for selective service to be allowed to vote and women don't, that isn't equal rights. End of story.
