Aarne Sihvo was likewise imprisoned by Russians for helping the independence movement. Reds take power, he gets kicked out. Civil war starts in Finland, he becomes a commander and helps beat the reds who either surrender or run to russia, among them red guard commander Antikainen. As a gigantic fuck you to the Bolsheviks, he leads an expedition to Russia in 1919 to grab some RIGHTFUL precious Finnish clay, and fights Antikainen's troops. Again. But this time in Russia.

It goes on.

In 1933 Antikainen decides to infiltrate Finland to help the underground communist party. He gets caught, and there's political trial with constant threat of death sentence for war crimes during the so called "Kinship Wars", with rumors of cannibalism etc. But, Winter War starts in 1939, doesn't go so swimmingly, and one of the demands of the Soviets is comrade Antikainen is released at once.

He goes to Russia and is immediately made representative of Finno-Karelian SSR in High Soviet Council of Representatives. But he begins to wonder why absolutely no one he knows is alive anymore, and and starts asking questions. He dies less than a year after returning to Soviet Union after NKVD is kicking in his door and he defenestrated himself.

He survived almost a decade of constant threat of execution but dies less than a year after coming home. With friends like Bolsheviks, who needs enemies.
