The CFAL is the best

2021-01-20 04:25:12 UTC

CFALs are cool cuz strippers

2021-01-20 04:25:13 UTC

Especially with waffle mags

2021-01-20 04:25:29 UTC

Also fixed the gas port issue

2021-01-20 04:25:38 UTC

Kinda a useless feature but still cool

2021-01-20 04:26:05 UTC

Not when you consider the fact that using magazines was still uncommon when it was made

2021-01-20 04:26:14 UTC

That G3 throws casings into the stratosphere

2021-01-20 04:26:19 UTC

Stripper clips were more popular

2021-01-20 04:26:38 UTC

Yeah then they come raining down on your buddy and the recoil knocks you on your ass.

2021-01-20 04:26:50 UTC

I can shoot it offhand no problem

2021-01-20 04:27:04 UTC

On full auto?

2021-01-20 04:27:05 UTC

Its a good recoil impulse

2021-01-20 04:27:12 UTC

Its not full auto so

2021-01-20 04:27:24 UTC

Ah so it isn't a proper G3

2021-01-20 04:27:30 UTC

Lol, full autos a b and half to legally get here

2021-01-20 04:27:38 UTC

It's a neutered G3

2021-01-20 04:27:39 UTC

No because those are illigal

2021-01-20 04:27:58 UTC

Its a semi auto

2021-01-20 04:28:03 UTC

They aren't

2021-01-20 04:28:06 UTC

Full autos aren't illegal my dude.

2021-01-20 04:28:12 UTC

You can get legal full autos

2021-01-20 04:28:14 UTC

They basicly are

2021-01-20 04:28:19 UTC

Hell you can make them with an FFL

2021-01-20 04:28:28 UTC

You could do homebased ffls, pre 86

2021-01-20 04:28:34 UTC

Mhm

2021-01-20 04:28:46 UTC

For Canada we have an extra year before the cut off

2021-01-20 04:28:48 UTC

Unless you wanna spend $40k+ and spend 11 months waiting assuming you find an SOT to run the transfer

2021-01-20 04:28:50 UTC

87

2021-01-20 04:29:08 UTC

Its 86

2021-01-20 04:29:14 UTC

^

2021-01-20 04:29:16 UTC

No in Canada its 87

2021-01-20 04:29:19 UTC

Warning though, homebased ffls are a prick though. The amount of paperwork is like buying a house.

2021-01-20 04:29:26 UTC

Yes

2021-01-20 04:29:38 UTC

I worked for an FFL/SOT for a good while

2021-01-20 04:29:46 UTC

Nice

2021-01-20 04:29:46 UTC

Handled all the paperwork and sales

2021-01-20 04:29:46 UTC

Same

2021-01-20 04:29:57 UTC

Or you can just make it ilegally and be a chad

2021-01-20 04:30:04 UTC

Unless your very rich, full autos are illigal

2021-01-20 04:30:09 UTC

Lol, I'm working on getting mine. I've got a few ideas brewing

2021-01-20 04:30:23 UTC

But anyway

2021-01-20 04:30:32 UTC

Learning GS from a 50 year gunsmith

2021-01-20 04:30:41 UTC

Hey bribe the right people you can get anything you want

2021-01-20 04:30:51 UTC

^ ๐Ÿ˜‚

2021-01-20 04:30:57 UTC

Not wrong though

2021-01-20 04:30:59 UTC

๐Ÿคฃ

2021-01-20 04:31:09 UTC

308 casings after the G3 beats the everliving shit out of them

2021-01-20 04:31:27 UTC

I don't think the Marines will miss a few FN Minimis

2021-01-20 04:31:37 UTC

No

2021-01-20 04:31:47 UTC

And the army can spare a couple grenade launchers

2021-01-20 04:31:55 UTC

Speaking from the Jarhead clan

2021-01-20 04:31:56 UTC

Dude, I remember when we were living in California, my dad and his buddy accidently built a full auto ppsh, and because of commiefornia that went straight to the nearest sot

2021-01-20 04:32:06 UTC

Id be more interested in the NODs

2021-01-20 04:32:27 UTC

Well those are legal anyways

2021-01-20 04:32:32 UTC

So no need to bribe someone

2021-01-20 04:32:34 UTC

You cant build a semi-auto PPSH

2021-01-20 04:32:45 UTC

Well

2021-01-20 04:32:51 UTC

But also like $10k

2021-01-20 04:32:59 UTC

The original PPSH was select fire.

2021-01-20 04:33:16 UTC

Not select fire, open bolt

2021-01-20 04:33:30 UTC

Yep

2021-01-20 04:33:43 UTC

Yeah, sadly the parts kit they got ahold of was all or nothing deal. And in the us if the guns open bolt the atf has labaled it a machine gun

2021-01-20 04:33:49 UTC

Theyre a full-auto only design

2021-01-20 04:33:58 UTC

They did tweak it

2021-01-20 04:34:07 UTC

The firerate is insane

2021-01-20 04:34:37 UTC

Also if you hold it straight up then all the casings run down your back

2021-01-20 04:34:58 UTC

I'm not really a fan of mega rof I prefer a slower cyclic rate

2021-01-20 04:35:21 UTC

And yeah, because of the casings they actually we're trained to hold it at an angle

2021-01-20 04:35:36 UTC

Cyclic rate has less to do with recoil than the buffer system

2021-01-20 04:36:25 UTC

Well truthfully I feel with a higher cyclic rate regardless of the recoil you could end up wasting more rounds in a target then you need to

2021-01-20 04:36:48 UTC

Who wants to hear something funny?

2021-01-20 04:36:53 UTC

Slower rate could not send enough quicky

2021-01-20 04:37:01 UTC

You can always run bursts

2021-01-20 04:38:06 UTC

True, but you also face running through your combat load quicker

2021-01-20 04:38:21 UTC

Ian with forgotten weapons did a really good video on the concept of recoil and machine guns with knights armorys new 5.56 and 308 MGs

2021-01-20 04:38:37 UTC

I just saw a dude kick his gf out of his place because she cheated and she started yelling at him, she calls over her brother to come beat him up for kicking her out.

2021-01-20 04:38:48 UTC

Really the only full autos should be support weapons anyway

2021-01-20 04:38:51 UTC

Guy comes out with a side by side and the brother bolts.

2021-01-20 04:39:15 UTC

That's glorious

2021-01-20 04:39:32 UTC

12 gauge side by side Churchill

2021-01-20 04:39:44 UTC

Ohhhh speaking of side by sides. Anyone here familiar with alofs reloading magazine?

2021-01-20 04:39:51 UTC

Mhm

2021-01-20 04:39:57 UTC

It's dumb

2021-01-20 04:40:00 UTC

Cool tho

2021-01-20 04:40:33 UTC

Yeah, I can't see it being very practical beyond a range toy. As it is currently at least.

2021-01-20 04:40:58 UTC

I've never seen it on anything other then single shot 12 gauges though

2021-01-20 04:41:43 UTC

I'd love to scheme so.ething together for a side by side running two of them. Growing up with games like doom, and serious Sam just gives me an itch for coach guns

2021-01-20 04:42:25 UTC

But seeing as I don't get to practice much with old doubles (don't own one sadly) I'd love to one day have something like that as a range toy

2021-01-20 04:45:31 UTC

Side by sides are probably the most beautiful british style of firearm.

2021-01-20 04:46:10 UTC

Indeed, I feel their easier to load and manipulate, but I love the shell ejection on over unders

2021-01-20 04:47:36 UTC

Over unders are distinctly Russian

2021-01-20 04:48:49 UTC

I can't deny that, I'm half ruskie

2021-01-20 04:49:05 UTC

Or German, there are some nice German over-unders.

2021-01-20 04:51:05 UTC

I just can't get down with german shotguns. I do have a very respectful opinion of their bolt guns though

2021-01-20 04:52:40 UTC

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/801170149855723540/801313220933189632/IMG_20210119_222329.jpg

2021-01-20 04:53:02 UTC

Granted my main experience with german bolt guns are mausers like this one.

2021-01-20 04:55:50 UTC

Single shots are traditionally more German for shotguns

2021-01-20 04:56:43 UTC

The plan for this one is a pcc scout rifle. So replacing the rear sight with a ultra low mount, probably gonna throw on a 3x9 40, and then get a new lower base plate so I don't drill holes in the original, fabricate a custom feed ramp and run a rhineland arms 45 acp conversion for 1911 mags

2021-01-20 04:56:57 UTC

That looks like a yugo mauser
