So, Orange County, California is being named as hotspots for turning our state RED. Yay! Canโt wait! However, it brings forth concerns for safety in these red counties. Everyone should be on HIGH alert. With that, while in church and a major fire up the hill was not contained (but evacuation orders were being lifted), the pastor speaks of how this takes us back to 1993 (when half the town burnt to the ground) and now, brings us in tune with whatโs most important to us when you have to evacuate quickly. My hubby and I looked at each other and smiled because he had called me that day asking me to guard the home base...and load all our guns in the trunk NOW, just in case. God and guns. A bag of underwear for each of us and weโre good.๐

I have a rant that Iโm posting both here and in our 2A room. Belongs in 2A but I want to spread this info more widely. Whether youโre pro guns or not, you should be aware of this situation that is happening ALREADY that is a violation of our current constitutional rights: I had to renew my license this year and they allow you to renew โregularโ or get the newer Real ID. The law coming onto the books in October 2020, mandates that you hold a Real ID in order to board any DOMESTIC FLIGHTS. And of course youโd need a passport for international travel. Sounds pretty normal - we have until 10/2020 to get this...except if you get the regular renewal since the DMV started issuing Real IDs, there is nothing REGULAR about the ID they send you... in the upper right corner it says โFEDERAL LIMITS APPLYโ and those limits are NOT about travelling (although I have yet to try to travel with it๐). Those limits CURRENTLY apply to your ability to purchase legal firearms of any kind. Some gun shops go by the 2020 date, others go by what the ID states. Bad idea. I obviously wonโt spend my money at those shops that do not honor my constitutional rights. Funny thing is, I brought this up with a DMV tech and they were unaware of it yet proceeded to tell me itโs a Federal Compliance issue. But itโs actually the DMV violating my rights because federal compliance isnโt required until 2020.....๐ค
