Silver is alright

2020-11-22 07:55:17 UTC

I'm just taking the piss in general

2020-11-22 07:55:29 UTC

if it was personal, it would be far worse

2020-11-22 17:13:55 UTC

@TheMousez I hunt with a recurve. Until gun season at least.

2020-11-22 17:14:13 UTC

Do you air or do instinct shooting?

2020-11-22 17:14:21 UTC

Aim*

2020-11-22 17:52:49 UTC

@wlightnin41 i used to instinct. But haven't used a bow in years. So sight till i can not suck ass again

2020-11-22 17:55:57 UTC

๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Don't know what to say, you can see my spare mags that have real bullets. Shall I take a video the next time I go to the range to prove it's real?

2020-11-22 18:11:45 UTC

@SilverWolf ignore the haters. They're jelly

2020-11-22 18:12:39 UTC

@SilverWolf he just fucks with people, don't mind him

2020-11-22 21:08:56 UTC

Yeah I'm going to have some sort of foregrip and a red dot sight. But, I'm in Kansas, no riots anywhere near me, not much need for one

2020-11-23 00:42:48 UTC

I just got my gun license in nj the other day, now loads of research on what gun(s) gun safes how to maintain and keep in good condition, then the range... reviews put a good riffle 800-1200 bit more for better scope...sound about right?

2020-11-23 00:53:34 UTC

You could build an AR for possibly cheaper

2020-11-23 00:53:45 UTC

I guess shit might be more expensive in NJ

2020-11-23 02:17:59 UTC

@jday1516 get a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 version 2

2020-11-23 02:40:47 UTC

Got mine for 400. Then bought a .22 conversion for 150. I can shoot 3 ammo types from 1 gun

2020-11-23 02:40:53 UTC

Love it

2020-11-23 02:41:50 UTC

I've got a scope, NVM, and back up 45 degree canted iron sights

2020-11-23 07:32:24 UTC

I plan on doing a lot of camping late winter early spring

2020-11-27 23:07:48 UTC

Finally got to shoot my gun for the first time (I've shot plenty of guns before, but not my AR)

2020-12-02 21:09:15 UTC

Ammos expensive, don't blame you.

2020-12-03 23:05:43 UTC

Fully-semi-single-shot-matic High-Capacity (1) Assault-Style (by standards of 1920) rimfire .22LR (which is basically .223, so basically 5.56 so military spec)

2020-12-03 23:57:16 UTC

Yo, that's actually really sick mate@Thirsty_Fox

2020-12-04 00:00:19 UTC

Thanks! They were made in Canada by a company called Cooey from 1919. He made the rifles for the 1924 Canadian olympic team and participated in Trap (got Silver). They started with single shots, then repeater bolt-actions and break-action shotguns. Last model was a semi-auto. Whole operation bought out by Winchester in the 60s, then later by Savage, who also bought the Canadian arms manufacturer Lakefield. Savage still makes the semi-auto (model 64).

2020-12-04 00:00:35 UTC

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

2020-12-04 00:00:52 UTC

Love gun history

2020-12-04 00:41:07 UTC

There's not much to Canadian firearm history but that's probably the biggest one. Some of the Cooeys would be known in the US as "Sure Shot" that were sold at Simpson's in the states.

2020-12-04 01:13:38 UTC

Slav as fuck

2020-12-04 06:54:22 UTC

I was gonna say more like lazy as fuck but that's the same thing you said

2020-12-07 18:04:44 UTC

For any of you survival guys. I got the mora kansbol a while back, I have to say itโ€™s a fantastic affordable knife if youโ€™re in the market.

2020-12-07 18:04:55 UTC

And Iโ€™m always in the market for a new knife

2020-12-07 19:46:40 UTC

Moras are great, although I always have to reprofile and sharpen the blade.... they come pretty blunt in my experience. The handles are so good, though, and the steel is great.

2020-12-07 19:47:31 UTC

but I'm more into Swiss Army Knives for the most part (and a few fixed-blades and misc folders). I find I need the utility of the other tools far more often than a knife

2020-12-08 03:57:15 UTC

My moras have been shaving sharp, latest one was hair poppin. I carry a leather man slot of the time, but donโ€™t want to skin and process a deer with a 3 inch blade.

2020-12-08 03:57:54 UTC

Unless itโ€™s my tiny boker skinner. Love that tiny thing

2020-12-08 04:29:30 UTC

the Mora Companion and Basic stainless are excellent. The grips fit my hand perfectly. My only complaint is that there's a small gap between the blade and handle on either side with the basic... I want to fill it somehow because I don't want water or food to get in along there

2020-12-08 05:00:15 UTC

I am gonna be buying a bunch of camping gear this winter for spring camping

2020-12-08 17:47:10 UTC

As a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife collector, I highly recommend anyone interested to look at the Farmer X model. It's by far my favorite for outdoors/camping use as the tools are much thicker and tougher than the plastic scaled models.

2020-12-08 18:37:43 UTC

The late Gen. Chuck Yeager recently passed away. Apart from being well known for his history-making in the world of flight, being the first pilot to break the sound barrier in flight, he was also a big outdoorsman who regularly did weeks-long camping and fishing trips. He was known to carry only his Victorinox Executive for these trips as his knife.

2020-12-09 18:44:55 UTC

@๐Ÿ…ฑรธg Wizard are you planning to be hiking very far with it? Or close to a vehicle?

2020-12-09 18:47:50 UTC

Deep in the woods

2020-12-09 18:48:00 UTC

The car will be about a mile away

2020-12-10 00:33:30 UTC

Do you have a good pack? Campfire.com has ran some good deals on mystery ranch packs lately

2020-12-10 01:34:04 UTC

Yeah good enough. My back is fucked up atm once I get to the chiropractor hauling stiff shouldnt be too bad

2020-12-10 18:19:57 UTC

I have to be vigilant with my back. I found that stretching my quads and hip flexors helped immensely with my lower back pain

2020-12-10 18:34:11 UTC

I been in 2 bad atv accidents so I have to be careful with mine. Every so often I need a tune up from the chiropractor

2020-12-10 18:35:51 UTC

Yikes. Well if thereโ€™s anything you want to discuss about hiking or camping let me know. Always like trading tips

2020-12-10 18:45:05 UTC

Its mainly when I wear a full pack, one of my shoulders start hurting like fuck. I know my neck is not 100% fixed

2020-12-10 18:45:13 UTC

Its constantly cracking

2020-12-10 18:51:44 UTC

Well a good pack thatโ€™a correctly adjusted going a long way for that.

2020-12-10 18:51:55 UTC

Keep that weight off the shoulders and on the waist

2020-12-11 14:51:20 UTC

Small but I was out for meat this morning

<:godemperor:445097873890082817>

2020-12-11 14:52:49 UTC

Man I wish I could do that. Just leave my home in the morning, casually hunt something and eat it back home

2020-12-11 15:45:24 UTC

Whatโ€™s preventing you? Real question

2020-12-11 15:50:09 UTC

Living in a city, not having a car, my own restrictive and covid-fearing family, not being a member of a hunting club...

2020-12-11 15:50:35 UTC

There's so many things that I hope I could change one day

2020-12-11 18:51:50 UTC

One step at a time fren. What area do you live

2020-12-11 19:28:12 UTC

Zagreb City, Croatia

2020-12-15 06:53:27 UTC

This is a pretty impressive piece of gear. Combining it with an actual plate carrier with two level 4 plates. You basically be a juggernaut.

2020-12-16 19:00:37 UTC

Who knows what channel this goes in. But any of you invested in precious metals? Any suggestions?

(Before you ask, Iโ€™m already invested in copper, lead, and brass)

2020-12-16 19:01:02 UTC

Iโ€™m thinking of getting more silver and some gold.

2020-12-16 19:24:29 UTC

it could be worthwhile but I'm not sure... probably more so in a restart of society, but if you're worried about during a collapse of some kind, I'm not sure how valuable it will be so long as people need actual supplies and food

2020-12-16 19:24:45 UTC

^

2020-12-16 19:24:58 UTC

as with any preparation, it depends a lot on what you're preparing for and what you're already prepared for

2020-12-16 19:26:26 UTC

preserved food and water is going to be worth more than gold in the initial days after the collapse

2020-12-16 19:27:30 UTC

I plan on surviving the apocalypse by selling 'instant water, just add water' to liberals in the city.

2020-12-16 19:28:54 UTC

nah, chop up some pipe off of whatever, sell them as water sticks, just stick into the ground and get the ground water, and trade for a few cans of food

2020-12-16 19:29:12 UTC

<:smuglaugh:448311843086401536>

2020-12-16 19:29:51 UTC

fuck em, if they're too stupid to accept that deal, they're not going to contribute anything and their food is going to waste

2020-12-16 19:30:16 UTC

Yeet em and move on

2020-12-16 19:30:24 UTC

better yet turn em into jerky and sell that

2020-12-16 19:31:17 UTC

Thanks for reminding me of a scene from The Road... no.... just no....

2020-12-16 19:31:37 UTC

You are welcome

2020-12-16 19:46:18 UTC

I have a friend who is heavy into silver he just got me started with a set

2020-12-17 02:28:55 UTC

@๐Ÿ…ฑรธg Wizard whereโ€™s he get his?

2020-12-17 02:29:38 UTC

We will see how the new 40 rounder feeds

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/778494254435663892/788956041563471872/image0.jpg

2020-12-17 02:36:35 UTC

Just thinking about a collapse, and really glad I don't live in a tightly packed city, can use tools and know how to procure food and safe water lol

2020-12-17 02:43:00 UTC

Thinking about getting a small varmit rifle. Like a little .22 because the amount of squirrels and small rodents around my house is pretty heavy

2020-12-17 02:46:03 UTC

Well, canโ€™t go wrong with the ruger 10/22. But I am a sucker for old 22 rifles. Even the old single shots.

2020-12-17 02:53:08 UTC

The pawn shops round my area usually get Rugar 22's pretty frequently.

2020-12-17 02:53:21 UTC

He is friend with a local coin shop owner

2020-12-17 02:53:33 UTC

Dudes apartment is like fort knox

2020-12-17 02:54:12 UTC

Ah gotcha

2020-12-17 02:56:29 UTC

@hrisckybusiness91 you wonโ€™t be disappointed. Thereโ€™s always deals on .22 rifles around the holidays too because they are a lot of kids first guns. Might find a cheap marlin model 60

2020-12-17 02:56:51 UTC

Although they were just sold off the ruger

2020-12-17 02:57:04 UTC

So who knows if many are available new right now

2020-12-17 02:57:39 UTC

I want to get the younger ones comfortable around firearms, and all I have are things that would take them off their feet so lol

2020-12-17 02:57:49 UTC

Also plug some varmits if need be

2020-12-17 03:00:59 UTC

I first learned shooting squirrels. First gun was a 20 gauge

2020-12-17 03:03:28 UTC

First big boy gun I shot was an AR

2020-12-17 03:03:45 UTC

Now I have my 12 gauge and my .45 because i'm poor lol

2020-12-17 03:04:21 UTC

I've almost got my girl convinced to let me go buy a Mosin from somebody for 450 with stripper clips and a bayonet

2020-12-17 03:05:41 UTC

Better be a good mosin for that much. Although I know theyโ€™ve gone up

2020-12-17 03:06:21 UTC

You could have ruger or Thompson center in 308 with a scope brand new for that much
