2019-01-07 20:01:28 UTC

Hmmmm might lose too much weight though

2019-01-07 21:31:29 UTC

I use c4 it does the trick

2019-01-08 01:48:52 UTC

Caffeine usually does it for me

2019-01-08 01:55:04 UTC

Caffeine and bcaaโ€™s where itโ€™s at

Bang energy baby

2019-01-08 15:49:18 UTC

I drink bang pretty often

2019-01-08 16:19:15 UTC

Pop a rip-it and a four loko

2019-01-08 16:26:27 UTC

energy drinks are for the weak

2019-01-08 16:42:19 UTC

I screwed up my leg repairing fences yesterday so working out isn't viable right now anyways

Rule of thumb, cattle guards are designed to break a Cow's foot, yes they will just about to the same to your leg

2019-01-08 18:41:33 UTC

But if you must make the choice of a Quad rolling over on top of you and a cattle guard I would suggest the cattle guard

2019-01-08 22:17:31 UTC

Oof. Rip legg

2019-01-08 22:48:34 UTC

Fucking hell

2019-01-08 23:19:43 UTC

Glad I didn't break anything, but with the amount of cussing I put out you might've been fooled

2019-01-29 17:13:46 UTC

Do y'all hit cardio before your lifts or do you just jump straight in

2019-01-29 19:14:56 UTC

i do core and cardio

2019-01-29 19:43:08 UTC

>mixing cardio and strength
ok retards

2019-01-29 19:45:32 UTC

I donโ€™t power lift lol

2019-01-29 19:46:32 UTC

It's just a general thing. Cardio and strength should be a few hours apart, if even on the same day. Biology just be like that, yo. Otherwise you're doing more work for less gains because cardio cuts in to strength and vice versa.

2019-01-29 19:47:18 UTC

I mean you can do core no matter what, because the core is a weird muscle group that never really wears out

2019-01-29 19:47:34 UTC

I do light cardio to get warmed up my heavy cardio is fighting a few hours after I go to the gym

2019-01-29 19:48:09 UTC

Ahh, yeah, a jog to get the blood flowing for 10m or so is fine. I thought you were doing a couple miles AND weights at the same time

2019-01-29 19:48:20 UTC

Oh god no

2019-01-29 19:48:44 UTC

Yeah, that's why I was like "ok retards"

2019-01-29 19:49:05 UTC

A couple hour gap is usually enough to be safe

2019-01-29 23:09:15 UTC

or you can not be a bitch and just do both

2019-01-29 23:09:18 UTC

jk

2019-01-29 23:09:38 UTC

a couple hour gap is safe, *or* if you've gotten something to eat that isn't pure garbage

2019-01-29 23:10:11 UTC

like if you ran from 6-7 AM, had a solid breakfast, and then wanted to lift at 9 you'd be fine

2019-02-01 00:18:10 UTC

Lift fags

2019-02-01 03:38:24 UTC

Guys, I need advice

2019-02-01 03:38:35 UTC

How do you build up pushup numbers?

2019-02-01 03:38:51 UTC

Im doing 20+/set rn but I struggle with them

2019-02-01 03:39:20 UTC

Pity I cant swap out the numbers with the required situps number because situps are piss easy

2019-02-01 04:29:23 UTC

required? ah well
if you want to build up pushup numbers it ain't just arms and chest
core and back are important too, lowers strain on your arms and chest
if you solely want to build pushup numbers, do heckin core exercises and back exercises one day

2019-02-01 04:29:48 UTC

next day push yourself with the pushups, if you get to the point where doing them normally is difficult, do it on your knees

2019-02-01 04:30:11 UTC

if you just want to hit 100 pushups and aren't on a particularly short timeframe, scooby has a good plan for that

2019-02-01 04:32:02 UTC

Thanks Blyat!

2019-02-01 04:33:05 UTC

anytime

2019-02-01 04:33:56 UTC

@Maj. Asshole may as well pin this if it isn't already
man has some heckin good workouts and advice

2019-02-01 05:51:42 UTC

2019-02-01 13:43:10 UTC

scooby is a legend

2019-02-01 13:51:44 UTC

Do push ups

2019-02-01 13:51:52 UTC
2019-02-01 13:52:13 UTC

Start at your highest number possible. Do it a few times every day.

2019-02-01 13:52:20 UTC

Each day it will slowly increase.

2019-02-01 13:53:00 UTC

In USMC I could crank out hundreds. Now probably 25. I could easily return to the standards given a month though.

2019-02-01 13:53:14 UTC

Push ups are easy AF to increase like crunches

2019-02-01 22:46:48 UTC

Thanks Gnome!

2019-02-01 22:50:56 UTC

What a day, someone unironically thanked Fars

2019-02-01 23:13:01 UTC

oy vey

2019-02-01 23:13:04 UTC

you been gnomed

2019-02-01 23:18:00 UTC

@Mangy You love and hate me

2019-02-11 06:15:15 UTC

How does one get started with lifting/getting fit overall if he cant survive the mental pressure of a gym?
Not tryna jog 5 times a day btw

2019-02-11 06:30:22 UTC

@Ikasig Go in there, admit to yourself that it's for yourself and yourself only. Don't care if people look.

2019-02-11 06:30:27 UTC

Repeat several times.

2019-02-11 06:30:54 UTC

Everyone in the gym is there for themselves, the only people who got time wasting to look around are the guys who spend too much time there and are already in shape.

2019-02-11 06:30:59 UTC

So 9/10 people are too busy to care.

2019-02-11 06:31:16 UTC

Honestly - to get "started," you just need to go. That's your biggest fucking hurdle.

2019-02-11 06:33:17 UTC

Yeah I know that my biggest problem is prolly just the part of actually getting started
Damm mate when I was 13 I was lifting in gym like its nobodys buisiness and now Im not even psychologically ready to go there

2019-02-11 06:36:28 UTC

It's all good

2019-02-11 06:36:42 UTC

I understand, I had a mind block like that after becoming withered from my hip injury where I couldn't walk

2019-02-11 06:36:46 UTC

The best thing is to know what you want

2019-02-11 06:36:49 UTC

Hold up a minute

2019-02-11 06:40:02 UTC

There you go

2019-02-11 06:40:09 UTC

First you need to know if you want to gain or not

2019-02-11 06:40:20 UTC

You gotta tailor gym to your diet and diet to the gym

2019-02-11 06:40:25 UTC

Use that calculator and be honest

2019-02-11 06:40:36 UTC

Then look up a starter regiment and attempt it, every day for a fucking week

2019-02-11 06:40:45 UTC

Seriously, it's that easy, yet that hard

2019-02-11 06:41:48 UTC

I dont have a goal weight tho
What to put there

2019-02-11 06:44:50 UTC

Like with the goal weight again:
For me its mostly about getting fit in general
I really dont care about my shape or health (as long as I dont break my back while lifting or some shit)
I just want to be more effective in my HEMA classes and overall be able to do more with body
So I have no idea what to use as goal weight in that calculator
Besides the fact that it says weight loss above it?

2019-02-11 06:46:10 UTC

Ah

2019-02-11 06:46:21 UTC

Then you want some cardio each time you go, and work on your core

2019-02-11 06:46:35 UTC

Then rotate every other day and do legs, arms, etc

2019-02-11 06:46:45 UTC

You can also set it to gain

2019-02-11 06:46:50 UTC

I know, source: I am manlet

2019-02-11 06:50:29 UTC

Ah okay
Also just weighed myself, am 90kg (empty stomach) at around 188cm
Do you think a perfect ratio between muscle and mobility can be achieved?
Since that would obviously be the best option for HEMA

2019-02-11 06:50:51 UTC

I mean, yes but, realistically you should do the best you cacn

2019-02-11 06:51:06 UTC

I'm 165 and 55kg atm, gonna rebuild back up to 65-70kg now that I can fucking walk without a limp or bed riddance. I got to, as manlet I must be able to throw down with my friends and be king of the tard pile

2019-02-11 13:11:13 UTC

I got out with a bad back, and was dragging my leg behind me for years after I got out

2019-02-11 13:11:42 UTC

Took a long time to get better, and I still screwed it up and could barely walk yesterday

2019-02-11 14:22:29 UTC

@Punished Ggnome
Also
Any tips on workout when you have swayback and Scoliosis plus a general slight golem posture?
I cracked part of my spine previously as well, not borderline broken but ya know

2019-02-11 14:24:30 UTC

I got lower back pain and upper back pain due to the hip. Honestly, stretching, chiropractor. Get with a Physical trainer and learn to adjust your stance. You especially need one due to that.

2019-02-11 14:24:35 UTC

Practice proper posture throughout the day if you can.

2019-02-11 14:51:04 UTC

Ay

2019-02-11 14:51:07 UTC

Thanks mate

2019-02-11 15:52:13 UTC

Fucking wew lad, so my BMR off that calc is 2400

2019-02-11 15:52:39 UTC

And it says my TDEE is 3300

2019-02-11 15:54:25 UTC

Jesus fuck I need to eat like a full pound of pure protein

2019-02-16 16:58:06 UTC

@RoflTank Where I have a high metabolism, I had to work out for hours and eat about 3.8-4400 calories

2019-02-20 23:56:16 UTC

That's my sedentary intake requirements, sadly.

2019-02-21 02:12:27 UTC

Hamplanet spotted

2019-02-21 02:30:29 UTC

lmao, nah, 2400 BMR sedentary, it's like... 3300+ when I work out.

2019-02-21 02:31:09 UTC

I can eat 4000+ and still drop weight when I actually get moving

2019-02-25 18:17:50 UTC

So I started getting back into powerlifting, got back up to 320 on the bench. I used to do this a lot before, but tore something in my shoulder and wasnt able to lift for like a year. Anyone know some good ways to prevent tearing?

2019-02-25 18:21:23 UTC

Stretching.

2019-02-25 18:21:37 UTC

Doing less in the beginning.

2019-02-25 18:21:39 UTC

Knowing your limit.

2019-02-25 18:24:35 UTC

^

2019-02-25 18:24:43 UTC

Stretching with full range of movement helps a lot

2019-02-26 03:29:29 UTC

MAke sure you work your rotator cuff

2019-02-26 03:29:47 UTC

A lot of lifters forget you have more muscles than the big ones

2019-02-26 03:30:07 UTC

And the small ones are the ones that'll fuck you over for good if they snap

2019-02-26 13:44:06 UTC

Also make sure to stretch after you workout

2019-02-26 13:44:34 UTC

That way your muscles don't sieze up up and you're less vulnerable to injury post workout

2019-03-01 01:41:03 UTC

Finally got back into the gym tonight after a few years out of practice

2019-03-01 01:41:40 UTC

My mile time is embarrassing, because i got winded and had to walk part

2019-03-01 05:32:20 UTC

Oeuf

2019-03-10 05:01:18 UTC

Do y'all use ab rollers?
