@secrite do you know What is the longest fast humans are recommended to?

2019-03-02 17:25:24 UTC

this is why nofap is dumb if your not trying to overcome a porn addiction

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/471844105463529472/551455029886713866/unknown.png

2019-03-02 17:26:04 UTC

@felldie1496 No idea.

2019-03-02 17:26:05 UTC

squat or medidate

2019-03-02 17:26:15 UTC

beating off is useless

2019-03-02 17:26:30 UTC

imo

2019-03-02 17:26:34 UTC

I think I tried nofap for like three days and then decided.... I want to watch porn, this is stupid.

2019-03-02 17:26:35 UTC

@secrite There's not much of a real benefit to fasting beyond 2-4 days.

2019-03-02 17:26:36 UTC

It is of use - I don't have to so horny all the time.

2019-03-02 17:26:41 UTC

@felldie1496 I watched a video where a guy said that around day 4 you will notice that you don't even get hungry. He said stick with it until the hunger returns and then slowly introduce calories again like with a little apple juice slowly working back up to food.

2019-03-02 17:26:42 UTC

Now I fap like twice a week..

2019-03-02 17:26:43 UTC

And the more prolonged the fast the more health risks you incur.

2019-03-02 17:26:50 UTC

but he said your body will tell you when

2019-03-02 17:26:57 UTC

Unless you mean "cessation of masturbation"

2019-03-02 17:27:07 UTC

wojak

2019-03-02 17:27:10 UTC

have you fasted?

2019-03-02 17:27:26 UTC

I did an extended fast before I came across that info and got very nervous on day 4 when I noticed that I was not in the least bit hungry so I ate.

2019-03-02 17:27:34 UTC

People are scared of fasting.

2019-03-02 17:27:35 UTC

Yes.

2019-03-02 17:27:47 UTC

have you any anecdotal experience

2019-03-02 17:27:51 UTC

@Lilu I'll test it from tomorrow on

2019-03-02 17:27:54 UTC

@Wojak For food fasting, do you happen to know the name of the study that tells you the benefits in the 2-4 day period?

2019-03-02 17:27:56 UTC

Look

2019-03-02 17:28:09 UTC

Fap once a day, don't think too much about it and be happy

2019-03-02 17:28:14 UTC

That's it

2019-03-02 17:28:22 UTC

I'm looking for it.

2019-03-02 17:28:35 UTC

oh

2019-03-02 17:28:40 UTC

One guy did a very meticulous analysis of his blood sugar over a prolonged period of fasting I wanted to find.

2019-03-02 17:28:41 UTC

so you're speaking out of your ass ?

2019-03-02 17:28:44 UTC

It's....I have it somewhere?

2019-03-02 17:28:49 UTC

@Wojak i found an article

2019-03-02 17:28:57 UTC

No, I have tons of publications I save.

2019-03-02 17:28:58 UTC

look it up in shitposting

2019-03-02 17:29:01 UTC

And as a result I lose them.

2019-03-02 17:29:07 UTC

It's irritating as fuck.

2019-03-02 17:29:09 UTC

I understand.

2019-03-02 17:29:23 UTC

blood sugar

2019-03-02 17:29:29 UTC

of course insul levels will be low

2019-03-02 17:29:35 UTC

If its too much trouble just skip it.

2019-03-02 17:29:47 UTC

tahts because the sugre has been used up

2019-03-02 17:29:55 UTC

liver glycogen levels as well

2019-03-02 17:30:07 UTC

Fasting is great for reducing inflammation also related to insulin inflammatory effects - and immune system regulation.

2019-03-02 17:30:09 UTC

thats how the body goes into ketosis

2019-03-02 17:30:17 UTC

only when those levels are depleted

2019-03-02 17:30:23 UTC

yes

2019-03-02 17:30:39 UTC

However, there are more risks with prolonged fasting due to cardiovascular stress. If you have any health problems at all, this could be an issue.

2019-03-02 17:31:00 UTC

Same goes for maintenance of electrolytes. You can induce a stroke in sensitive individuals.

2019-03-02 17:31:02 UTC

look at the popoulation

2019-03-02 17:31:05 UTC

most ppl are sickly

2019-03-02 17:31:07 UTC

so then I will continue to limit it to no more than 4 days?

2019-03-02 17:31:08 UTC

of course

2019-03-02 17:31:20 UTC

most people are terriblyt unhealthy they're fat ficls

2019-03-02 17:31:22 UTC

is this a open discussion on the super sayin benefits of no fap pua

2019-03-02 17:31:40 UTC

when the mean is obesity what should one expect?

2019-03-02 17:31:43 UTC

If you fast _without_ maintaining electrolytic balance there are very severe consequences that could arise, including heart arrhythmia that may lead to a heart attack for people with underlying conditions.

2019-03-02 17:32:08 UTC

I said it before, make sure to take minerals

2019-03-02 17:32:12 UTC

scroll up

2019-03-02 17:32:41 UTC

thanks for the info gents. I have to run to my mom's house. TTYL.

2019-03-02 17:33:44 UTC

I'm still trying to find the one guy who did a meticulous monitoring of his blood sugar.

2019-03-02 17:33:48 UTC

Fuck me if I can find it

2019-03-02 17:33:55 UTC

who cares about blood sugar

2019-03-02 17:34:11 UTC

My problem is that when I fast I tend to have lower energy, lower stress tolerance, and my body just starts inclining me to do things to save energy (12 hour sleeping per day, take a warm bath rather than heating myself)
The lack of ability to do productive work and the loss of mood do not seem worth it without some serious health benefits. At best I will do a 1 day fast on a slower day just to reduce my overall calorie intake.

2019-03-02 17:34:25 UTC

@Wojak you should refer to medical studies. Anyone can claim anything online.

2019-03-02 17:34:43 UTC

Nnnnnoooot relevant to what I wanted to use it for.

2019-03-02 17:34:48 UTC

you guys ever seen those red pill rings?

2019-03-02 17:35:04 UTC

Primarily when I say fasting for prolonged (week+) periods has substantial risk IS related to medical studies.

2019-03-02 17:35:13 UTC

But I also wanted to mention something else, and I can't find the fucker now.

2019-03-02 17:35:15 UTC

God damn it.

2019-03-02 17:35:16 UTC

anyway

2019-03-02 17:35:27 UTC

I don't really fast for more than 3 days at a time because I need to squat

2019-03-02 17:35:46 UTC

FOUND HIM

2019-03-02 17:35:53 UTC

nvm, you guys are in a different dimension right now

2019-03-02 17:36:02 UTC

and I cant squat effectively otherwise

2019-03-02 17:36:17 UTC

@Kaiser Dion Napoleon I've seen the ads, but never in real life.

2019-03-02 17:36:28 UTC

hunger

2019-03-02 17:36:38 UTC

likely ghrelin

2019-03-02 17:36:41 UTC

Hunger peaks around day 3-4 (as he also notes) and tapers off - but AFTER the fast your blood glucose goes insane.

2019-03-02 17:37:00 UTC

@MufflePuff https://www.redpillring.com/c/rings looks like something I'd buy if money wasnt a concern

2019-03-02 17:37:01 UTC

prolly the 1st time this person fasted

2019-03-02 17:37:07 UTC

and experiencing ghrelin expression

2019-03-02 17:37:09 UTC

The longer the fast the more extreme the insulin-glucose dysregulation.

2019-03-02 17:37:22 UTC

And this is one datapoint I wanted to share to visually demonstrate it.

2019-03-02 17:37:33 UTC

@Kaiser Dion Napoleon WTF, I had no idea that's the price.

2019-03-02 17:37:52 UTC

That's expensive af

2019-03-02 17:38:18 UTC

I'd rather just buy a MGTOW beanie.

2019-03-02 17:38:21 UTC

MGTOW isnt full of tony starks just yet, lol

2019-03-02 17:38:43 UTC

fat adaptatoin

2019-03-02 17:38:56 UTC

he was in ketosis after hour 36 or so

2019-03-02 17:39:30 UTC

Yes, this is also useful to visually see an approximation of the process.

2019-03-02 17:39:43 UTC

It's not population representative but it's a neat visualization of the general idea.

2019-03-02 17:39:47 UTC

and did he suppleent his water with slta

2019-03-02 17:39:50 UTC

salts*

2019-03-02 17:40:06 UTC

I literally went grocery shopping earlier. Just cut open a mango. I asked for boneless mangoes but there was this wishbone looking thing in it wtf.

2019-03-02 17:40:25 UTC

cant trust these supermarkets

2019-03-02 17:40:33 UTC

I didn't know mangos had bones.

2019-03-02 17:40:34 UTC

unless you grow your own food, good luck

2019-03-02 17:40:51 UTC

I know boneless pizza is a black twitter meme but this happened to me

2019-03-02 17:40:54 UTC

farmers markets are okay, typically

2019-03-02 17:41:12 UTC

Lmao boneless pizza.

2019-03-02 17:41:18 UTC

@Kaiser Dion Napoleon Just buy a fake wedding ring and ghost as a simp

2019-03-02 17:41:18 UTC

right? lol

2019-03-02 17:41:26 UTC

Unless someone someone did surgery on a mango

2019-03-02 17:41:38 UTC

Like they did to that grape

2019-03-02 17:42:00 UTC

Anyway, primary medical concern here with prolonged fasts like a week or more is the longer the absence of food the worse the compensatory dysregulation becomes.

2019-03-02 17:42:11 UTC

Refeeding syndrome is real and very dangerous.

2019-03-02 17:42:25 UTC

@Wojak Since you probably can't post the image or a link to the study in here. Feel free to PM it to me.

2019-03-02 17:42:30 UTC

I would never pay that much money for a MGTOW ring. Wearing MGTOW paraphernalia seems risky anyway honestly.

2019-03-02 17:42:32 UTC

boneless pizza is my favorite

2019-03-02 17:42:33 UTC

I did link it

2019-03-02 17:42:36 UTC

ordered it yesterday

2019-03-02 17:42:45 UTC

Welp

2019-03-02 17:42:47 UTC

lolol

2019-03-02 17:42:48 UTC

>MGTOW ring

2019-03-02 17:42:51 UTC

Wtf

2019-03-02 17:42:56 UTC

mornin fellas

2019-03-02 17:42:58 UTC

imgur /a/yN4QtU9

2019-03-02 17:43:01 UTC

I think server autoremoves em

2019-03-02 17:43:04 UTC

ah sweet

2019-03-02 17:43:16 UTC

going to bed at 4 A.M then waking up at noon is weird

2019-03-02 17:43:37 UTC

But no, seriously, _look up refeeding syndrome_.

2019-03-02 17:43:48 UTC

*excuse me what?*

2019-03-02 17:43:49 UTC

A MGTOW ring sounds like another cringe variant of a purity ring

2019-03-02 17:43:58 UTC

@TruceAU doesnt seem like such a bad idea to me, lol

2019-03-02 17:44:03 UTC

Week+ fasts are perfect candidates for the symptoms of it and they can progress, in extremes, to being fatal.

2019-03-02 17:44:16 UTC

I just wouldnt pay 1000 bucks for one

2019-03-02 17:44:38 UTC

It just doesn't look worthy of $575. Maybe $50.

2019-03-02 17:44:56 UTC

Case in point: hypophosphataemia.

2019-03-02 17:45:07 UTC

This is what relates to the heart dysfunctions I mentioned.

2019-03-02 17:45:14 UTC

The longer your fast the more these problems build up.

2019-03-02 17:45:18 UTC

_Intermittent_ fasting is great.

2019-03-02 17:45:22 UTC

@Wojak WTF is with his wildly varied exertion heart rate? I suspect he just does different exercises since the cluster of drops are a week apart, but that scared me a bit.

2019-03-02 17:45:23 UTC

Prolonged fasting gets more dangerous.

2019-03-02 17:45:29 UTC

like I said, no more than like 3 days

2019-03-02 17:45:31 UTC

No!

2019-03-02 17:45:39 UTC

That's the result of his fast!

2019-03-02 17:45:41 UTC

gotta eat those carbs to keep the squat game real

2019-03-02 17:45:47 UTC

36 hours is my fast limit.

2019-03-02 17:45:52 UTC

The longer the fast the more arrhythmia you get.

2019-03-02 17:46:04 UTC

Often beginning with tachycardia (clinically elevated resting heart rate)

2019-03-02 17:46:18 UTC

And abnormal response to exertion with prolonged tachycardia on cessation.

2019-03-02 17:46:25 UTC

Does anyone here have a home gym?

2019-03-02 17:46:26 UTC

Well he had a similar cluster on the same days before the fast.

2019-03-02 17:46:40 UTC

I started working out at home.

2019-03-02 17:46:40 UTC

@Roko if you do, lemme come use it

2019-03-02 17:46:44 UTC

ab wheel and resistance bands

2019-03-02 17:46:47 UTC

Im looking at both saturdays.

2019-03-02 17:46:49 UTC

yoga mat

2019-03-02 17:47:12 UTC

@Roko I want one. It would be bench, squat rack, barbell plates, olympic bars, pullup bar, dip bar and rowing machine!

2019-03-02 17:47:16 UTC

@Darkness How do you pull women with a yoga mat?

2019-03-02 17:47:27 UTC

lol

2019-03-02 17:47:34 UTC

probably easily

2019-03-02 17:47:40 UTC

they as me for my number

2019-03-02 17:47:42 UTC

But I do see your point as there is definitely other stuff being weird outside of that range. Just the similarity suggests to me he maybe does a lighter exercise or non-cardio on saturday.

2019-03-02 17:48:16 UTC

had this snow bunny hit me w/ the "you never game me youre number"

2019-03-02 17:48:27 UTC

I said "I know"

2019-03-02 17:48:28 UTC

@secrite Nice. I'm thinking of getting that for the compounds lifts and such or an all-in-one solution for about 500-600 Euros

2019-03-02 17:48:31 UTC

Also, refeeding syndrome is real. Mainly in part due to the wild dysregulation of blood glucose and insulin, you experience elevated resting BPM that in longer fasts or more extreme absences of food will result in tachycardia as well.

2019-03-02 17:48:40 UTC

look on her face was priceless

2019-03-02 17:48:43 UTC

There's no benefit to prolonged fasting and only risks.

2019-03-02 17:48:45 UTC

the only people who want my number are scam callers, lol

2019-03-02 17:48:50 UTC

@Roko Wow, that's cheap! I was thinking $1-2k for all I priced out.

2019-03-02 17:48:55 UTC

2-3 days doesn't appear risky for a healthy person at all.

2019-03-02 17:49:00 UTC

A week? Two? You're asking for trouble.

2019-03-02 17:49:12 UTC

@Wojak It depends on what you eat when you refeed.

2019-03-02 17:49:16 UTC

Ask a doctor, they'll tell you the same thing.

2019-03-02 17:49:38 UTC

according to their education

2019-03-02 17:49:39 UTC

If you strictly adhere to the treatment schedule to _treat_ starvation to avoid refeeding syndrome, yes, you can mitigate the effects.

2019-03-02 17:49:47 UTC

But that does not _eliminate_ the risk.

2019-03-02 17:49:55 UTC

you're forgetting that they're educated bu people who want to keep you sick

2019-03-02 17:50:06 UTC

@Wojak I will fast for at least one solid week this week so I will let you know ๐Ÿ˜„

2019-03-02 17:50:15 UTC

<:ree:480188470942498827>

2019-03-02 17:50:21 UTC

@Darkness Do you think doctors never read a study or look at evidence?

2019-03-02 17:50:24 UTC

I watched a video of a scam caller trying to take the life savnigs of a old man who needed to have life threatening surgery, how are these 3rd world sub humans so heartless

2019-03-02 17:50:27 UTC

You'll probably be fine. Probably.

2019-03-02 17:50:36 UTC

But it's against my advice and I guarantee no doctor would sanction that.

2019-03-02 17:50:39 UTC

of course they do

2019-03-02 17:50:41 UTC

None I've ever spoken to have.

2019-03-02 17:50:46 UTC

all studies are not created equal

2019-03-02 17:51:04 UTC

Yes, Darkness, that's why you learn to evaluate their merits by becoming familiar with the field and research.

2019-03-02 17:51:12 UTC

@Wojak I will be random data point that means nothing for you ๐Ÿ˜‰

2019-03-02 17:51:26 UTC

<:papafranku:532077431696392202>

2019-03-02 17:51:41 UTC

Wojak, i wanted to ask you about corporal punishment for political corruption

2019-03-02 17:52:33 UTC

it seems the neolibs and neocons are determined to screw you guys over and make sure to pinch every penny they can from the tax payer

2019-03-02 17:52:55 UTC

that medical complex is real

2019-03-02 17:53:05 UTC

you try curing cancer? good luck

2019-03-02 17:53:27 UTC

you'll get assassinated

2019-03-02 17:53:42 UTC

You can drastically reduce your risk of cancer. Exercise, don't be fat, don't smoke, and don't drink. And eat a lot of fiber in vegetables.

2019-03-02 17:53:50 UTC

Also that's a conspiracy theory feel free to prove it.

2019-03-02 17:53:53 UTC

i you think they're for the betterment, you're a fool

2019-03-02 17:54:15 UTC

you're a fool

2019-03-02 17:54:21 UTC
2019-03-02 17:54:26 UTC

Calling me a fool isn't evidence.

2019-03-02 17:54:30 UTC

Just saiyan.

2019-03-02 17:54:35 UTC

you're right

2019-03-02 17:54:41 UTC

i do think there is an incentive to keep the population obese and dependent on government

2019-03-02 17:54:48 UTC

@Wojak You don't need fiber if you don't eat veg/fruit/grains.

2019-03-02 17:54:50 UTC

but if you think they're in our side your sadly mistaken

2019-03-02 17:54:56 UTC

Uh

2019-03-02 17:54:58 UTC

Yeah

2019-03-02 17:54:59 UTC

You do

2019-03-02 17:55:03 UTC

Nope.

2019-03-02 17:55:12 UTC

If all you ate was animal product you don't need fiber.

2019-03-02 17:55:19 UTC

T_T;;

2019-03-02 17:55:21 UTC

One of the hideous problems with the notion of an all-meat diet is it's probably the single biggest risk for colon cancer conceivable.

2019-03-02 17:55:25 UTC

eat seeds

2019-03-02 17:55:44 UTC

i rarely eat meat, in fact i only eat once the craving arises

2019-03-02 17:55:49 UTC

otherwise i try to avoid it

2019-03-02 17:55:54 UTC

Seeds = the most fiberous part of fruit

2019-03-02 17:56:07 UTC

Can I _please_ get link permission

2019-03-02 17:56:14 UTC

Because what Secrite said is abhorrently false.

2019-03-02 17:56:18 UTC

And I have data on this.

2019-03-02 17:56:20 UTC

actually i heard some seeds can be posionous

2019-03-02 17:56:20 UTC

@Wojak <#514930508363202561>

2019-03-02 17:56:20 UTC

A LOT of it.

2019-03-02 17:56:27 UTC

wojak,

2019-03-02 17:57:00 UTC

Sorry I can't help.

2019-03-02 17:57:06 UTC

@Wojak You can DM him, you probably cant get meme privilege quickly

2019-03-02 17:57:13 UTC

_You can cure cancer with vitamin C in vitro_

2019-03-02 17:57:17 UTC

_It doesn't work IN VIVO_

2019-03-02 17:57:25 UTC

BLEACH cures cancer in vitro

2019-03-02 17:57:35 UTC

99.99% of "cancer cure" proposals are all in vitro studies.

2019-03-02 17:57:45 UTC

That's why they _don't work_ in clinical or animal trials.

2019-03-02 17:58:14 UTC

There's no conspiracy here. Hopefully this clarifies things.

2019-03-02 17:58:19 UTC

nope

2019-03-02 17:58:45 UTC

you understand how cancer cells feed?

2019-03-02 17:58:46 UTC

I don't want meme privileges per se, I just want to be able to link relevant citations.

2019-03-02 17:59:16 UTC

kinder bueno cures my depression

2019-03-02 17:59:26 UTC

Yes. Generally glycogen metabolism, but some cancers actually don't rely on this.

2019-03-02 17:59:28 UTC

@Wojak Sometimes you just got to let the stupid be as stupid does. PM's are the best option right now.

2019-03-02 17:59:54 UTC

@Kragt who hurt you

2019-03-02 17:59:56 UTC

Hence why keto or low-carb diets _may_ (emphasis on may) be a very good overall cancer risk reduction.

2019-03-02 18:00:00 UTC

@Wojak Can you DM me all the studies you have?

2019-03-02 18:00:05 UTC

and why are you so quick to drop vocab such as conspiracy

2019-03-02 18:00:07 UTC

Which ones, Secrite?

2019-03-02 18:00:18 UTC

Because, Darkness, you alleged a conspiracy.

2019-03-02 18:00:27 UTC

@Darkness You litereally described a conspiracy.

2019-03-02 18:00:41 UTC

@Wojak The carnivore is not ideal ones.

2019-03-02 18:00:49 UTC

you need meme privelages to post any kind of link

2019-03-02 18:00:51 UTC

well

2019-03-02 18:00:56 UTC

"Conspiracy" is a concept, it doesn't imply that it's true or false, but you're not evidencing the claim.

2019-03-02 18:01:00 UTC

you've been indoctrinated, nothing else I can say realy

2019-03-02 18:01:13 UTC

That's not evidence.

2019-03-02 18:01:19 UTC

It's _another_ assertion, and a fallacy.

2019-03-02 18:01:37 UTC

@secrite I'll send you the meta-analysis on meat consumption and colorectal cancer risk.
