I wonder if that guy speaks cuckinese
*fedora tipping intensifies*
most likely
Whatever. I moved all the Trump books to the religious section
They didn't have a section for fanfiction, or all the Qurans would be there
Such as the Bible ๐
HOLY SHIT BOIS
It took years but I finally delivered the final redpill to a buddy of mine who was an atheist, and he just told me hes been getting it religion over the last couple months and is a believer now
Im actually so happy rn
getting into*
Understandable. I've been in the church basically my whole life. The idea of Non-belief is fairly foreign to me.
Yeah Im going to be there for him to help guide him, I cant imagine it would be particularly easy to get into mid-life. I was born and raised catholic, even went to catholic school up until 8th grade so that made it easy for me. I had plenty of time to learn about it
The best thing I can suggest is just start by reading the bible & church history
I'd recommend reading intelligent apologetics literature. Stuff that uses science to back up claims in the Bible. It's never too late to convert/learn about Christianity.
One source I personally enjoy reading is answersingenesis.com
You're supposed to be able to ask them for their very technical documents if you're interested.
Like the experiments that back up the claims.
read a book about the crusades, too. Im reading Templars by dan jones right now. As devout as I am reading about the crusades inspires me and strengthens my yearning to serve the Lord
I'm out. Later and good luck!
Salamalaikum ma bruddas
Right to bear arms is in the Bible
I really think that everyone kind of has an "irreligious" stage in their life where they "hate" religion, but they eventually come back to it once they realize their points against it were based on ignorance.
not everyone
I became Christian after meeting people that could talk intelligently about it and didnโt mind criticism.
Jew even lift bro
Yeah! And i end the workout with a can of mountain jew
Catholicism.
@Victus Shmmidtt
We can move it here as you said.
OK
Where do we start?
My issues with Catholicism are as follows:
>The Pope is infallible (And yes I know this belief varys among Catholics)
>The Worship of Mary as the Queen of Heaven and co-redeemer.
>Having a Priest Absolve your sin, because he is a man and not God.
>The exists of pergatory and the ability to "pray" your dead loved ones out of it by going to a priest and paying him to do it.
>Allowment of indulgences in exchange for monetary compensation.
>And praying to the statues of Jesus and Mary.
Mt issues with Protestant:
>Not zealous
>A lot of progressivism (depends on the church)
>A lack of dedication to the church.
As of now, I'm actually a Roman Catholic, but back at where I live, the Priests, etc. are outright horrendous, following the wrong agenda even.
Speaking of which, even I've been there with the issues with Catholicism, but I've seen how Protestants, atleast alot of them have varying beliefs, watching a good bunch of them on Youtube, etc. was enough to make me say: "Fuck it, I'm out of here."
You still there?
Why are you even religious?
Believe in yourselves, not God
I'm still here @Yakumo Fukase
Actually, I almost fell for being Agnostic.
Even though I'm 16 LUL.
I'm about to not be though because I'm about to walk on campus and I won't be able to respond.
So say what you want to and Ill respond later.
Alright, have fun.
All in all, I once thought there was something wrong with the Catholic Church, whatnot with the doctrines and such [some of it.], couple it up with the fact of some peeps in the Catholic Church being wolves in sheeps clothing. However Protestantism as I saw was way worse off for me, they tend to have too different beliefs for each individual leading to dissonances in my mind. When I checked what's really the issue, I mean, God would only forbid something if it will cause something bad to happen to me like a sickness or sort right? [Too much drinking, smoking, etc.], but these "Individualists", with their absurd beliefs lead me to think there's not gonna be any solid foundation for me.
Wow Victus... I feel the same as you do above. The modern Protestant Church does seem to suffer from progressivism which I feel causes the other 2 problems.
I think the church would come back if parents acted as parents and taught their children the Bible. Instead we have this faulty thinking that the public school will teach our kids, or that an hour at church is enough for our kids to learn the Bible.
There also needs to be more educated people in the church. There isnโt enough apologetics. Weโre called to be able to defend the Bible, but it seems few people can even do that with basic Christian concepts.
@Yakumo Fukase I understand your position. I think most people would have a better outlook on Protestantism if there weren't so many sects. The primary issue being most of those sects such as Mormons, Jehovah's witness, unitarian universalist, etc, which are all complete heresy, get lumped in with the rest of Protestants and the rest of us don't even consider them to be even Christian.
@Andrules The church preached the doctrine of easy believism from the 1960s to the 1980s and poisoned multiple generations. They believe that all you do is sit in a pew on Sunday and say you are a Christian and that is what makes you saved from sin. They also preached a false doctrine that Christianity is based on emotions and how you feel. Which is entirely untrue. God never said he was supposrd to make you happy and remove all struggles from your life, he said the opposite. He said that taking this path will be hard and you will be persecuted and tempted the entire way. Being a Christian is not acting like that rest of the world. Going with the flow is the wrong path. As a Christian you are to break from the normal flow of the world and follow God's path and you must strive continuously to stay on it.
Thatโs actually why my parents switched churches when I was growing up. Started out in a United Methodist, moved to independent baptist. The UM just went all hippy bullshit. Be kind and happy, thatโs all you need to go to heaven and God to love you. The Baptist Church actually taught me the right way. Which is what you listed out.
Oof
Commies btfo
Lol
Oof
There is one Atheist Youtuber that I have come to hate with a passion... Darkmatter2525
atheists in general are really annoying
I personally believe Cult of Dusty hits the most obnoxious factor for me.
No, Darkmatter2525 is worse.
He's the guy who does those terribly-animated shorts that essentially sets up strawman arguments to try to make "all" Christians look bad and it's almost exclusively against Christians.
Wait what?
First glance I think I'm gonna hurl.
Honestly, whenever anyone askes "If God exists, who created God?" misses the entire point.
What religion concerns itself with is how God created humanity and everything around us. As Christianity points out, God is our father and we - humanity and all things - are His children.
In turn, it makes the question "who created God" pretty irrelevant.
That question is outright cringe tbh.
WhO cReAtEd GoD?
when people say "who created God", they show their immense ignorance on the concept of God, and prove they cannot understand that God is a concept beyond human comprehension.
They most likely aren't smart to begin with as well.
atheists, either through ignorance or intention, misconstrue the concept of demiurge for God
The Demiurge eh...
a demiurge is a creator being that may have created the world, possibly the universe, but itself was created, and is not omnipotent like God
God existed before existence
by the way, in case you are misinterpreting what i am saying, i am not saying i believe in a demiurge -- i am merely describing what it is.
Don't worry about it, known about the Demiurge and researched its concept ever since Persona 5
If they mix up God for the Demiurge...
They really need to have their brains checked.
They miss the word Transcendent
Apparently something that transcends all human comprehension and logic and the existence itself is too hard for them to understand. Then again most atheists look at life through a narrow port hole which usually results in only them believing in what fits their arbitary echo chamber
Hence why the doctrine of skepticism is self defeating because what is the point of being a smeptict if you are unwilling to be skeptical of your own skepticism and question why you do not believe.
yeah
and if they somehow think humans have achieved a point in which they can comprehend everything, they are incredibly wrong and arrogant
I always thought when they ask who created god they were stupid for another reason. Its not as though creation of something superior isnt possible. Its like saying if Michael Jackson is the greatest entertainer ever who made him? His father.
Then there could also be a "Tenchi Muyo" type situation where God created us to try and figure out if any thing exists beyond itself by seeing if creations can bridge the gap.
Just because something is tanscedant by our knowledge doesnt mean there arent more or higher versions of it.
However, in all of those cases, it means very little and doesn't diminish from the fact that God created the entirety of what we call "everything."
