The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical reader’s head. With many of our demos, there's a chance of physical confrontation and being detained, neither of those scenarios are made better with a gun, unless you're planning to shoot someone, which you shouldn't.

We don't counter demonstrate riots, and if there is a physical confrontation during a demo, or a confrontation in general, it's likely because we planned to confront folks like at the bookfair. Bringing a gun to a fist fight is not the best of ideas. Your best defense is the guys next to you, and group cohesion as a whole.

I have said in the past that if folks are resolute in their desire to bring a firearm to a demonstration of some sort, they will not be given a standard role in the activity, and will instead fill a specific security niche and will not participate in certain things.

Please, for fuck's sake do not pack if you are demonstrating. You might get picked up and charged with a bullshit misdemeanor but if you are carrying it is now committing a crime while in possession of a firearm. Don't. Do. It.
